I am very passionate about music, from learning to teaching, practicing, performing and recording. Every day my goal is to promote music, learn, practice and help people enjoy music either by listening or performing.
*** Lesson Details *** Lessons will start with good solid warm-up exercises focusing on
breathing and proper technique for Brass playing. The 2nd part of lessons will be technique, Scales and method books for trumpet and french horn. The last part of lessons will be working on Solo repertoire and learning songs for performance, sight reading, playing duets and learning jazz improvisation if interested. Lessons will include sight reading, play along/sing along CD's Scales and technique as well as theory.
For my Trumpet Students I use Herbert L. Clarke Technical Studies Book to help improve aerobic endurance, technical and finger velocity as well as production of good tone quality. I will also use the Earl Irons Group of 27 exercises as well as the Max Schlossberg Method to help improve air flow, breathing control and fluidity of sound throughout all registers. I also use the J. B. Arban's Conservatory method for other techniques including scales, double and triple tonguing, intervals as well as duets and solo repertoire. For jazz minded students I will start with basic fundamentals of improvisation including melodic improv, Blues forms and blues scales as well as reading through chord changes and playing in several modes and other scales used in jazz.
I also provide tailored instruction on Bugling, and the proper playing of military bugle calls for those students interested as well as those involved with Boy Scouts who wish to earn their Bugle Merit Badge.
For my French Horn Students I will use the same technique books as Trumpet but learning traditional French Horn Solo repertoire, as well as Brass quintet/choir repertoire and orchestral and concert repertoire. Focus for French Horn students will be mainly on control of partials and tuning techniques.
For my Voice students I will start with good breathing technique and warm up exercises designed to get the vocal chords warmed up and get all the other muscles relaxed in order to produce great tone quality. Focus will be on intonation, and learning to use the air and support to extend the vocalists range higher and lower as well as gain power and confidence in singing. Each Vocal student will have a piece to practice or will bring a piece of their choosing in that they would like to learn and this will be used to apply the techniques learned at the beginning of lessons. Styles of singing that I sing and can teach are Classical, Jazz, Big Band and Standards, Oldies, Pop, Country, Soul, Rock, R&B, Christian Rock and Church Music and also harmonizing like in a duet style or choir/vocal ensemble setting. I will also teach performance techniques, showmanship, stage presence and the overall performance package every singer needs to have confidence while singing.
I am a classically trained musician on Trumpet, French Horn and Voice and reading music, articulations, dynamics and learning musical forms is an essential part to any performers success. I also have studied various jazz styles and improvisational techniques as well. I want to teach students the basics of good musicianship and help them to excel in learning, practicing and performing in their own selected styles of music, whether its classical music, or jazz/rock/pop/country and any other styles students are interested in.
For Academic students who need tutoring I have a very extensive background in history, specifically focusing on US History, Military History, and the study of different eras including major war eras. Academic tutoring can be geared towards the understanding, comprehension and critical thinking understanding of the subject matter, as well as research, essay writing, as well as public speaking and project presentation.
For Tennis Students, I focus on the basics from footwork, to basic swing mechanics as well as strategy. Tennis lessons can be geared to develop specific areas of the game of tennis, or an overall game improvement whether for those who want to be competitive, or just enjoy a friendly game. I am also willing to do group lessons of up to 4-5 players to enhance a group learning environment as well as combining the skills from each player to enhance the other and create a fun learning environment on the tennis court. *** Studio Equipment ***

Hiring J.R. has been an incredibly uplifting, fun, and educational experience. A far better experience than I could have asked or hoped for. I’m learning! And excited for the progress, which does take an investment of practice, energy & time. He is extremely patient & flexible with how to cope with my needs (when possible) and super supportive: I’m almost 50 and paralyzed.
As corny as this sounds I’ve never known anyone with such a broad overall knowledge, experience and wisdom about music and instruments. If I have a question about my piano playing, or virtually any music question, he either has the answer or helps me find it if he doesn’t.
He is extremely knowledgeable and respectful and has more than earned my respect and gratitude.
Hiring him is one of the best choices I’ve ever made. The only regret I have is that I didn’t hire him sooner.

Love my 1st lesson. I learned so much in one day. Definitely looking forward to my next lesson.
July 2, 2018
I had an instructor prior to him for nearly a year. I hired JR because after that time I didn’t even learn how to read music. I learned more today from JR than the entire time I had my previous instructor. JR is detailed and patient for an old, inexperienced fart like me. Thank you, JR!
I practice and teach all levels of Classical Piano- from Mozart to Beethoven To Bach to Rachmaninoff , etc.
A fun, friendly, and professional Music Instructor at your service for Voice, Guitar, Piano, Bass, Drums, & Ukulele! I have a BA degree from Florida Atlantic University in Music Performance for Classical/Flamenco/Jazz/Blues guitar and I've also performed on the Piano/Keyboards for a couple different bands too. Love to play & teach pretty much all styles of music! It is always a pure joy & truly rewarding to see my music students grow and flourish in their musical abilities. I have been enjoying doing this now for 20+ years- all ages & levels. I am also in a multi-dimensional rock project and a recording artist with my band Vision.
I believe it's important to learn the rudiments of music to build a good foundation (scales, chord vocabulary, theory, song-composition, performing techniques), but I also base the lessons on whatever th
e interests and strengths are for the student. For example, if you enjoy jazz more than classical we'll focus more on what you are particularly passionate about. I have also been a part of School of Rock Programs in which we provided performances for the students a la Jack Black. Please contact Takelessons to let the musical journey begin...
I have been teaching for more then 20 years and my main goal is to develop deep love and appreciation for music.
Hi ! My name is Daniela and I can't wait to meet you! I have been teaching piano and theory since 1994 and have loved helping my students discover the beautiful world of music. Seeing my students grow into well rounded and educated people that love art, are able to recognize different styles of music, express their feelings and emotions on this wonderful instrument makes me really happy. My students range from people who simply want to learn how to play proficiently as a hobby to students who are considering making music their future career. I strongly believe that a chance to go on a big stage and play on a great Steinway piano in front of people, makes a big difference in children's lives: teaches them self control, gives them great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. Taking part in festivals and piano competitions helps
with building high self esteem even more. I look forward to helping you and your children to reach your goals!
Daniela is wonderful and our lessons are always fun. She lets me play pieces that I enjoy plus introduces me to new music that she believes I will also enjoy. She allows me to play freely but will correct my mistakes (wrong fingering :). But this only make me a better player and learning a new piece easier. As an adult learner I cannot say enough good things about her and her style. I really enjoy my lessons with her and I highly recommend her.
January 30, 2019
Daniela is obviously a skilled piano teacher. She connects well with my 8 year old son, and I am continually surprised by all of the details that she is able to perceive over skype- every finger placement, gesture, etc. She is careful, thorough, and kind. We are thankful to have found her.
I've been studying classical piano for about 17 years now. I've played everything from Bach to Ravel. I cover all eras of classical music. Whether you want to learn the complex fugues of Bach, the beautifully difficult pieces of Chopin, or the lush sounds of Debussy.
I am a music lover. I love anything and everything that is music. It has been one of the most consistent things in my life since I was a child, and there's nothing that makes me happier than making that a reality for someone else.
I've spent a lot of time studying with different musicians, such as Tigran Hamasyan, Ben Wendel, Ari Hoenig, Adam Benjamin, Josh Nelson, Vardan Ovsepian, and many other amazing musicians. I've also spent a lot of time studying different genres of music, which is why I'm capable of teaching almost any style of music.
I believe in designing lessons around each student's goals and needs, so every student gets a personally tailored lesson plan that will help excel them into being an amazing musician. I believe that great music teachers leave lasting impressions on their students. I wish to impart on my studen
ts the same lessons and experiences that have influenced me throughout my journey.
I have been wanting to learn piano for some time, and was recommended to Mesrop by a friend. He has been very patient with my pace of learning, which isn't always the fastest, and introduced concepts in a really logical and digestible way. Great guy and teacher, highly recommend!
August 15, 2017
I've always enjoyed playing guitar and bass, but the added element of piano was something that seemed so daunting I convinced myself to let it go. Mesrop was able to break it down so simply for me from the start, and I'm extremely thankful for his patience and focus throughout lessons. Along the way, I picked up more on theory and am now more comfortably able to transcribe as well. I think he's a tremendous musician but an equally excellent teacher.

I was struggling with my Music Appreciation class and I really needed extra practice. Mesrop was really patient with me, and helped me throughout the semester- even at inconvenient times of the day. Passed with flying colors! Thank you!
I love classical piano! I have a wide variety of repertoire for all ages of students. There is something in classical music for everyone to love!
Hi, thanks for checking out my profile! My name is Clarissa Lee and I've been teaching piano for 16 years. I'm an active member of the Music Teachers Association of California and the American College of Musicians. I have a diploma in piano performance with honors from the Royal Schools of Music. I am committed to providing professional, well-rounded music instruction. My goal is to provide a comfortable environment for you to learn and enjoy music!
I provide a combination of repertoire, theory, sight reading, and ear training appropriate to your level. My piano studio is very fun, with plenty of games and learning incentives. Students are given many performance opportunities.
I expect each student to practice consistently each week. I believe that training in classical music is essential to build quality musicians. The core repert
oire will be from the great classical composers, but I always add kid-friendly music to the assignment, whether it’s the James Bond theme or Star Wars.
Ms. Clarissa is such an AMAZING piano teacher. I have learned a lot from her in just a few months. She is patient, funny, kind, but most importantly, the best teacher in the world. It has been a pleasure being one of her students. I definitely recommend her to anybody. Her ways of teaching are amazing.
The only reason that I can't continue to have my lessons with her is that she has to move from RP. I will miss you dearly Ms. Clarissa.

My daughter took lessons from Ms. Clarissa for just over a year and a half, beginning in 2nd grade. We love Ms. Clarissa! My daughter learned so much in each lesson, and was so comfortable with her teacher. Clarissa is clearly a very accomplished pianist, but her kind demeanor is really wonderful with children and new players. My daughter loves to play the piano and is always eager to go to her lessons. I have watched Clarissa's more experienced students play at recitals and am always very impressed by how advanced they are. I would highly recommend Clarissa to anyone!

Hi there! I'm Anna, and I'm looking forward to meeting you. I've been offering private piano lessons since 2009 and offer foundations in music theory, technique, sight-reading and classic piano repertoire.
I begin most students in Faber method books, before branching into classical repertoire including selections from Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary time periods. My teaching style is flexible though, so I'll be happy to adapt to your individual liking and needs.
In 2012 I graduated from Thomas Edison State College with a degree in music and in 2017 I completed my Master's in Education from Post University. Today I enjoy teaching music to students ranging from six years old through adult.
I believe quality practice and motivation are key to success, and I'm looking forward to helping you succeed!
Anna is an extremely knowledgeable and skilled musician, which inspires her students to want to excel themselves! My 7year old son has been taking lessons from Anna for about 2 years. He is excited to go to his lesson each week! Although my son struggles with some dyslexia, Anna is extremely patient with him and makes him feel like he is valuable and capable. She has adjusted the method and curriculum to find something that works well for him. She carefully explains the lessons, makes my son feel so special, and inspires him to want to learn.

Anna is a truly talented pianist and I’m lucky to have had the opportunity to be a student of hers for over five years. She has an incredible talent for teaching music to all ages and I’ve learned so much from her.

It is with great pleasure I recommended Yelena if you are looking for piano teacher. Yelena has been my teacher for much of 2009, after i made the drcision to pursue piano lessons as an adult. AlthoughI had taken piano lessons for a couple years as a child, my knowledge of the keyboard and understanding were of music were limited. I have worked with other piano teachers since reaching childhood, but the expeirience was not inspiring
That all changed when i started working with Yelena.
Her passion for sharing her love of music with her studentshas been great source of joy for me. With her guidance, I am playing at a much advanced level
Then ever before, and with a deeper appriciation of what i am doing. She combines the rigth amount of theory and scale work, with learning classisl pieces.
Yelena has the patience and warms of a great teacher, and believe she would be equally good working with children as she is with adults. Her contribution to promote the love of playing music in her students is a true gift to us all.

Yelena is an encouraging, motivated, pleasant instructor. As her student, I feel very comfortable.
I have benefitted from her tuturing. I look forward to
My weekly lessons.
Yelena is one of those rare teachers whose passion for music and teaching comes through clearly to her students.
"Alina is a very knowledgeable, she takes her time when teaching you. I have learned so much in the short time I have been taking lessons from her. I highl
y recommend her!"
"I recomend all of you and your children to learn piano with Ms. Kim. She is friendly and patient teacher. I am a mom of two children they got lessons from
Ms. Kim over 7 years. My older one got into NYU piano program and my younger son is still playing the piano. I wish Ms. Kim can stay in NJ and teach my son continue though. I was very happy to had her for my children because Ms. Kim help them so much . My daughter had bad habits from previous teachers and didn" t want to practice, but Ms. Kim corrected and rebuilt good foundation and my dauthter enjoyed to play the piano as soon as she comes back from school. I am sure Ms. Kim's warmness and humorus teaching style made my daughter kept on playing. Finally she made my daughter got into piano major in NYU. And Ms. Kim was so patient to my son. He started piano when he was 5. My son has difficulty on focusing whatever he does. But Ms. Kim taught him very interesting way. I thought either my son or Ms. Kim would give up, but Ms. Kim made my son to enjoy plalying the piano. She has music therapy degree and used lots of fun materials and lesson plans to made my son to focus on lesson time. He is grown up now and still playing the piano. I appreciate it so much to Ms. Kim.
"Excellent teacher who has been training my daughter in classical piano for the past 3 years. Anahit has an incredibly vast knowledge of piano repertoire,
technique and performance. She has gotten my daughter active in the Certificate of Merit program of California and understands how to properly prepare students to achieve high marks in all aspects of piano study. Highly recommended!"
"My son started taking lessons with Ms. Sharon about four months ago. I was searching for a piano teacher with classical background because I know that cl
assical background is very important in basics of piano. I was looking for a serious teacher who was able to keep my son focused and learn well because I want piano to be a big part of my son. Sharon not only can keep my son, who is only 7, focused for 60 minutes, but he is truly enjoying his time with her. He loves taking lessons with her, enjoys practicing at home, and eager to go back to the lesson every week. I thought, at first, 60 minute lesson may be too long for 7 year old boy. However, Sharon keeps him interested, and he is learning basics of piano very well. I searched for a good piano teacher for almost a year, and I am very glad that we met Ms. Sharon."
