The most fabulous thing about being an artist is that boundaries regarding creativity are non-existent. The artist is always in a state of learning. Art is a progressive practice that takes time to develop.
Students will be introduced to the color wheel, basic materials needed, perspective, and the differences between realistic and impressionistic painting techniques. Materials are not included.
Acrylic painting lessons will be assessed based on the individual's current abilities and their goals. The students main objective is to learn, by painting what the individual wishes to paint (personal projects that sparks and continues the creativity within).
For virtual sessions, the student will need to create a conducive workspace that will allow teacher/student viewing of art work in progress. The student will need a workspace with lots of light. Often, I will ask to see the students progress, so that I may be able critique and give advise on their work in progress.
In my sessions, I am more than a teacher, I am a mentor and a counselor, I promote positive energy for positive outcomes. I am the Artist behind JFA Studio in Baltimore, Maryland. My resume includes graduating from the Baltimore School for the Arts and continued studies at the Maryland Instit

I believe in preparing students to be well-rounded musicians, able to navigate any musical situation. I do this by incorporating often neglected elements of music into my teaching, including improvisation, music theory, music composition, music technology, and recording. I incorporate music from a wide variety of styles and time periods, with a focus on students' individual interests and personal goals. Above all, I aim to teach music in a way that is fun for the student and encourages them to explore, create, and discover music in new and exciting ways!

I am currently in the third year of my doctoral dissertation at the University of Seville. I began my path in Philosophy when I majored in it as an undergraduate at St. Francis College in Brooklyn. I then continued my studies, obtaining a Master's degree in Philosophy at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, where I studied under some of the most famous Continental contemporary philosophers. I am now writing my dissertation on the philosophy of Giorgio Agamben, with a focus on Walter Benjamin. I believe that philosophy is not meant to be memorized, it must be a dynamic, diverse, fun and challenging focus on the main topics which still raise cause for questioning. My classes are always full of wonderful conversations on these topics and, I try to show that philosophy is an intensity which crosses over all fields of study and that it can also have a sense of humor!
