I specialize in Singing stage performance.
Being able to sing well is not enough to perform well.
Student needs to bring to stage at least 85% of what he is able to do in the classroom. Better - 150%.
In my class students meet in small groups, perorm in front of each other, and then we exchange notes. We do 2-3 rounds of performing and discussing to make sure it all works.
In my classroom student learns how get rid of stage fright, how to make stressful situation to work for his advantage, not to stand in a way of best performance.
I also use Stanislavsky acting method for singing performance.
Latest news: 07/28/20 It was a very different school year, and we had to do online not only lessons but also State Voce Competition and Certificate of merit evaluations. But we made it! Avantica received 3rd place in State Voce competition, and 8 sthdents passed the tests in levels 2-5, most wi

My students always leave with a smile, saying they feel more motivated and energized after the lesson. I adjust to their learning style, keep instructions clear, simple and do my best to make them feel free to express themselves; to let them know mistakes are part of the learning process and to move towards their specific goals with every session.

Right now, I am offering private lesson to beginner and beginner-intermediate for salsa.
My lessons are catered in developing basic fundamental techniques and footwork. After the mastery of the basic fundamental technique and footwork, we will then work toward building patterns. My goal is to make sure my students are comfortable and confident enough in dancing to a full 3 mins songs. Throughout the courses, I will also introduce dance theory and music theory. By combining theories with body mechanic, I am striving to ...

Every single lesson was tailored to my voice and my skill level. As I progressed, so did the lessons. Shelley prepared every lesson and conducted them all professionally. Over the course of a couple months, I went from not being able to carry a tune at all to singing comfortably and confidently in different genres.
She was excellent at teaching all aspects of voice including the anatomical structures involved and techniques to use the voice effectively.
She made difficult concepts easy to understand and used simple training tools very effectively. When I struggled in certain areas, she understood what my problem was even if I couldn't explain it well and helped me correct it.
In addition to her effectiveness as a coach, she is just a wonderful person and joy to work with. I plan on taking more lessons from her and I strongly recommend her to anyone!
I took weekly lessons with her for a few months and it was a great investment of time and money. I progressed from not being able to carry a tune at all to comfortably and confidently singing a variety of music.
She tailored every lesson to me so the lessons progressed as I did, which meant that my vocal skills and capabilities were continually growing.
Shelley's lessons were well structured and professional. They carried me through effective warmup exercises into singing that helped me continue to expand my range, delivery, and tone. I learned effective breathing techniques and proper shaping to get the clarity and tone that I wanted. I still implement her training on a daily basis and am now comfortable performing and recording a variety of musical styles and genres.
Her feedback and guidance was clear and easy to understand. Whenever there was concept I didn't understand, she knew how to explain it in a way that made it clear or use visual aids and basic tools to clarify.
Shelley helped me achieve a level of vocal control and confidence I didn't think would be possible for me.
Shelley is an outstanding teacher and I will take more lessons from her in the future!
