Daniel is a fantastic voice teacher and coach. My style of choice is mostly rock/blues, as I've been playing guitar forever, but only this year began to sing. He has taught me the correct way, recommended teaching material, and now that I'm recording, is helping me find my own voice. I think he could help anybody in most any other style too. He's the best.

I recently graduated UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music with a BA in Music History. My concentration is theory and education.

I will travel anywhere in the LA region to teach students of all ages. Music is my passion and I live to share it with others.
Nothing brings me greater joy than connecting with someone on a musical level and seeing the light bulb, the "AHA!" moment when they get it, especially children, or seeing someone so impressed by their OWN capabilities because of what I taught them.

My past students claim my teaching to be the best they've ever had. Throughout high school and college, classmates would seek help from me claiming that my approach was easier to understand than that of the teacher or professor.

I have a unique way of tailoring my teaching style to the different ways in which people learn, including and especially kids.

My unique, outgoing, lighthearted, humorous, and warm personality qualify me appropriately for teaching music.

I can teach ...

About Lee
My passion for music existed as long as I can remember. When I was maybe three, my dad showed my a live video of a Dan Fogelberg concert. I would play it over and over again and mimic the players, using toy rifles as guitars and rigging up mic stands out of Tinker Toys (Yes, I'm old enough to remember Tinker Toys).

At 12 my dad bought me my first guitar and I caught on at a rate that was perceivably rapid. The words "natural" and "prodigy" were used, though I find them quite frivolous. By 14 I was playing in church worship bands and in high school I was playing in bands of my own.

There's a phrase, "Those that can't do teach." I cannot disagree more. Not everyone can teach. This requires a special sense, an ability to intuit the type of environment and experience which best suits the learner, and the ability to connect. My versatile
personality and perceptive range of approaches more than qualifies me. Given the opportunity, I will show you or your child the uniquely memorable experience that is taking guitar lessons from me.

I find Lee to be the epitome of patience! He knows how to break a task into small steps, and follow through on each step without rushing or expressing frustration. I can be a slow learner at times, but Lee made the learning fun and encouraged me at every juncture. Having taught Special Ed myself, I can highly recommend Lee for his skill, patience, and insight into the needs of his students!

Guitar lessons with me are unique because of the wide range of my musical interests, experiences, and passions. I've studied many different styles of music and feel comfortable teaching in any genre. I work hard to personalize each lesson to the individual learning style of my students and encourage their passion for music.

About Rees
I am a professional multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer. I graduated from USC Thornton School of Music with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance, specifically within Popular Music. Students can expect their lessons to be highly personalized based on their interests and learning styles. Having operated in so many facets musically, I know how much depth is involved in being a complete musician and I encourage my students to be lifelong music lovers. I've performed alongside wide ranging acts such as John Fogerty, Glenn Frey, The Beach Boys, X-Ambassadors, and Diplo, and I've been mentored by greats such as Patrice Rushen and Glen Ballard. Knowing the value that mentorship has played in my musical journey encourages me to pay-it-forward. I love working with students who are as curious and passionate as I am.

Rees was AMAZING with my boys, at the time they were 8 and 10. They are very different in the way they learn and he was able to adapt to teach them each in an individual way that they loved. I only wish he still lived in town.

Rees inspired a love of music in my daughter that has lasted for the past 7 years when she first started with him. He has an attention to detail and music composition which he's able to incorporate into a fun learning environment. He's since moved from our area but his impression has lived on in my daughters love of music. Consider yourself incredibly fortunate if you have the opportunity to bring him into your child's musical instruction. We've yet to be able to recreate the Rees experience but our fortunate that the base he provided has carried us even now that he has moved on.

My sole initiative and expectation is to delivery quality, student focused music education. The student and I will build a solid foundation by getting to know the fundamentals of the instrument, building muscle memory, practice, and having loads of fun in the meantime.

Learning music can be challenging and daunting, and I always strive to create a low pressure and highly engaging and encouraging environment for positive personal growth. Learning music is not just about the music, it’s a creative outlet and a way to express yourself and learn more about who you really are. I take great pride in being able to be a part of cultivating that experience.

My teaching style follows the Montessori method; the focus is on fostering learning where the student is larger part of the process. Each student learns at a different pace, is interested in different goals, and has individual and unique needs. I take the care to listen and guide, giving each student unique curricula to work from. ...

About Corey
I started playing music in 6th grade, when I picked up the trumpet and joined the school band. From there I could not get enough. I quickly started playing the French horn and then got into guitar. I played blues, jazz, rock etc and decided I wanted more in high school and auditioned for a magnet arts high school in Denver. After attending the school held many gigs at local jazz clubs and then attended the Berklee College of music in Boston. I have been teaching lessons since high school and after that ran after school music programs throughout Boston. My goal is to give you or your child the best possible music education experience possible in the comfort of your own home.

I offer a variety of teaching styles to fit wherever you're at. If you're starting from the beginning, we can start with chord and scale basics and get you on the way to playing some simple songs. If you're further along, and your goal is to play specific songs; I'm happy to learn them in advance so that we can spend our time learning the proper way to play your favorite songs just like the original recordings. I learn by ear as well as read music, so just about any song is achievable that you pick. I have several guitars and amps in my rehearsal space at home for you to play, and I can point you to some great chord and theory books so that you can practice throughout the week in between lessons. I have taught students from beginner level to advanced. My hope is that we can go over the chord and theory that will help you understand and advance on your instrument as a lifelong player; and I also want to focus on the styles that inspire you so as to make learning a fun experience!

About Craig
Hi! My name is Craig. I began playing and taking guitar lessons when I was 7 years old. My first gig as a guitarist was in Trombone Shorty's band at the age of 16. Since then, I have written and produced several records that have taken me on tours opening for acts such as The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mutemath, Jack Johnson, The Funky Meters, Lifehouse, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Incubus...to name a few. It's been a great honor of mine to share the stage with these great performers, and I've also learned from some of the best teachers in the business. I currently work as a recording artist and band leader, and I teach guitar out of my home in Los Angeles. I am passionate about teaching players of all levels. I studied jazz and pop voice at The University of New Orleans, and I studied jazz guitar in big band ensembles at the New Orleans Creativ
e Center for The Arts. I've been privileged to learn from and currently study guitar with some of New Orleans and Los Angeles's finest guitar players.
I look forward to meeting!

I want to help you play the music you were born to play. :)

Most music teachers talk about their qualifications as a player. I happen to be a great player, but the reason you should study with me is that I am a phenomenal teacher. I possess the ability to clearly communicate complex musical concepts, I am patient and compassionate, and I have a strong vision for the growth of each of my students within the context of their interests.

A little about me: I wanted to learn how to play the guitar when I was 12 because my dad plays guitar, and, well... every 12 year old wants to be like their dad. In high school, I played in church and fronted a hardcore band. I studied Classical Guitar at Moorpark College and went on to receive a Bachelor's in Jazz Studies from CSUN in 2016. From 2012 - 2015 I taught at Dave Janssen's Music School in Simi Valley Ca where at one point I had 40 individual students and directed 3 bands. I'm hoping to share what i've learned with my 15+ years experience on the guitar. Whether it's for a student looking to learn how to play guitar for the first time, or for one looking to sharpen their current guitar skills.

I have completed several music courses in Pop/Commercial Music through Fullerton College, as well as have played in a variety of different musical settings as a soloist and with various groups. I have comprehensive knowledge of various different musical styles and guitar techniques, including styles from blues, rock, metal, jazz, country, pop, and more. I am able to show the student how to read musical notation and tabs, as well as how to learn to play by ear.

My goal is to deliver a uniquely structured lesson that is both fun and efficient for the student, allowing them to progress effectively and become a natural with the guitar.

About Matthew
I very much enjoy teaching students of nearly all ages and skill levels. I instruct on various amounts of guitar techniques and musical styles in the lessons of the students choice.

I have garnered my 15+ years of guitar expertise through a myriad of different mediums including gigs, teaching, musical courses, and lessons through professional instructors. Some of my favorite players and influences include Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, as well as players such as Mike Stern and Pat Metheny.

I am an easy going person with a lot of compassion- and put a lot of attention into creating a lesson best fitted for the student.
