I teach beginners and intermediate students how to get around on the ukulele and have fun playing songs they want to learn.

I'm a songwriter who often uses ukulele in writing and playing. I'll explain things clearly and simply, teaching you basic ukulele technique and then sprucing it up with additional techniques from guitar playing, and my knowledge of harmony/chord progressions from jazz, classical, and pop.

Hi! I am very excited to help you on your ukulele journey! I have studied music since I was five years old, have been teaching music for the past six years, and am passionate about providing effective and engaging music lessons. In ukulele lessons, we will learn string names, chords, musical concepts, strumming patterns, and fingerpicking techniques. We will spend part of the lesson learning and working on the techniques mentioned above, and the other part of the lesson learning/working on songs of your choosing.
