Zach is awesome! My 15yo daughter has been loving her lessons and is excited to show us what she has learned after every lesson. She picked up the guitar herself about six months ago and after learning some basics from YouTube she asked if she could have lessons to get to the next level. She will definitely be continuing her weekly lessons with Zach for as long as she wants. We love hearing her practice every day and are excited that she is learning to play the music she listens to and has a passion for.

Zach is a great teacher! He has been teaching my son (HS Junior) piano since November and from the start, Zach has been very easy to work with, a good balance of encouragement while challenging Noah to improve his skill level. Definitely recommend :)

We are so thankful we found Patrick! Patrick is a very effective teacher who’s able to relate and motivate students. Hi there and thanks for visiting! I have been playing guitar, singing, writing and producing music for the greater part of my life. My endeavor is to guide you to an understanding of one or many of these facets and give you the tools you need to become your own teacher as you continue down this path.

Below is a brief synopsis about the lessons I teach:

Guitar/Songwriting:
There will be very little music theory. I never needed much of it to write my own music, other than a few basic theories to get around successfully, so it’s not something we’ll spend a whole lot of time on. I have organized and constructed a course book to keep things lively and moving along efficiently. I call it NOTEbOOK. It’s also great refresher material to revisit in the future.

I teach basic guitar with accented professional appeal and rhythmic structure. My intention is to guide you to create your own original music using straightforward techniques. My goal, once we part ways, is for you to leave ...

About Lorin

I’ve been a writer and musician since I was a teenager, and have been teaching music lessons for over a decade. I began journaling at 15, mostly free-writing and poetry. This was my segway into guitar and songwriting. Over the years, piece by piece, I’ve gathered many angles to my myriad profession

Thank you so much Lorin for the remote classes!! You were amazing and I learned more from you than I did from my in-person teacher here in town. Thanks!!

I had a great experience learning song writing with Lorin. I would highly recommend his teaching services to anybody eager to learn music.
Rob
Lorin helped me hone my songwriting skills immensely, by not only teaching but collaborating with me when necessary. It was refreshing to find someone who put his teachings into practical learning, where I could see the outcomes become apparent. He’s a nice dude, and is experienced equally across his fields. He guided me to making intelligent choices for equipment purchases, both instruments and pro audio gear. We first met while he was living in New York, and boy has he traveled since. I think living in so many different states, and being that well journeyed has given him good cultural depth to his work. Check out some of his own collabs with singers and musicians from all over the world...that really says it all.

Pick a song you want to learn - I'll teach you how to play it! Want to learn how to write your own song? I can teach you!

I focus on your interests as a guitarist, and develop the lessons from there. I really listen and get to know you as a guitarist, a songwriter, a bandmate - however you see yourself, and help you achieve your dreams. All my lessons are rooted in a firm grasp of music theory, proper guitar technique, and a deep understanding of music history.

I've been teaching private guitar and songwriting lessons for over 10 years and have been a performing professional guitarist for 15 years. After years of working on my scales and feeling like I still didn't know my way around the guitar, Tom was able to explain how to play scales vertically in both major and minor keys in just one lesson. No one before him had been able to explain it in such a way for it to finally click for me. Since then, I feel like my shredding skills have improved 10 fold and I have fallen even more in love with playing and jamming along to my favorite songs. Tom is patient, kind, calm, and an incredibly skilled guitarist that anyone would be lucky to learn from!

Thomas Dawson is a very informative, positive, and educational guitar teacher. He’s degree in music from University of Oregon is proof of his vast musical knowledge. After taking lessons with Tom my guitar skills and musicality vastly improved. I highly recommend him has a teacher.

"I am so happy to have this opportunity to review Rodrigo Rodríguez. I have learned so much with him over the several years that I have been studying with him! He has totally transformed my guitar playing and has helped me to achieve my specific goals which are: To learn to play rhythmically with my right hand, to learn the fretboard better so that I can play more advanced songs, and to learn the repertoire of Spanish language music. He is so knowledgeable and talented! I have learned styles and songs from him from many different countries - Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Cuba, Colombia, and Mexico. In addition to all of that, he is a first rate human being who I feel fortunate to know! So, do yourself a favor and take lessons from him. He is a great teacher!"
