I have taken and taught courses in Excel 97-2003, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016 and Office 365. I teach formulas, statistical functions, tables, formatting, v-look-ups, etc. I honed these Excel skills while working as a Financial Analyst with Goodyear and an IT Auditor with Rockwell Automation.

Let's work together and let me unlock your potential!

About Matthew
Dear Parents and Students,

May I be a personal tutor for you or your child? I have been successfully tutoring for over 12 years. I have great references, and I am one of the top tutors because I am so easy to work with. I teach in person, or via TakeLessons classroom, telephone, Skype, FaceTime, Google Hangouts, Join.me, Appear.in, Screenhero (remote desktop, screen sharing) interactive whiteboards, as well as email attachments (PDF, Word, Excel, etc.) I graduated with honors, Summa Cum Laude from Case Western Reserve University, where I made the Dean's List. I also earned a Provost Academic Scholarship for my excellent test scores, including 34 in ACT mathematics and 780 in SAT mathematics.

In addition to teaching for Cleveland schools, I currently teach 20 private sessions each week, 1st through 12th grade, as well as college stud
ents and business professionals. I have also served on the faculty at Cuyahoga Community College.

I am patient, friendly and many students tell me that I explain concepts more effectively than their teachers. I am available weekdays or weekends, days or nights, throughout the entire year. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding my experience and teaching methods. While it should go without saying, I have a clean background that has been verified by the FBI and BCII. Let me know if you would like to set up an introductory lesson to design a customized strategy. There is no obligation to continue unless a customer is 100% satisfied.

I am one of the Top Five Tutors for:
1. most diverse subject matter
2. widest student age range
3. farthest geographical regions
4. largest client base
5. most hours taught monthly

Please note: I have set up my billing in thirty minute increments. Thus, I am able to offer lessons of varying lengths. However, I would appreciate longer sessions. I thank you for your time and consideration and look forward to being at your service!

Matt really helped me improve both my SAT and my AC T test scores. His explanations were clear and I thought that I learned quite a lot when I had him as a tutor.

As you can see I’ve written a review for Matthew regarding my daughters success (her test was last year) so I’d like to write one for my son also. My son was not driving at the time and Matthew agreed to drive to our home and teach him for an additional nominal fee. My son also took multiple tutoring sessions with Matthew and learned something new every time. He felt confident going into the test, confident in his ability to complete the exam and do well on it. Matthew takes his time with each individual and works with their specific needs. My children needed help in different areas of the ACT and Matthew was more than capable of helping them in those areas. My sons ACT score also went up 4 points after working with Matthew! I can’t say enough how professional, kind and thorough he is.

Very detail driven lesson to insure growth and success. Having fun is always key!

About Garrett
My name is Garrett. I am originally from Southern California where I grew up constantly around music. My mother being a pianist, I started at a young age. After a few years and a few different instruments, I fell in love with the Oboe. I was fortunate to have great teachers through middle school and high school and I ended up making my way to college on a Music Scholarship. Studying mainly classical music, I did have my chances to explore various genres and perform all over California as well as various cities in the US. I am very passionate and love to teach. I look forward to the possibility of teaching/coaching young or old musicians here in California.

Excel is my passion and I want you to share this passion with me.
I work with computers Microsoft tools for 15 years. Expert in office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pages, Numbers, Keynote).
Levels Taught: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced.
My method:
We will discuss your goals and needs so that I can prepare an individual program for you. It may be a task you need to resolve, a general knowledge of any Excel block (charts, formulas, pivot tables, formatting etc) or step-by-step learning of the application. You will have test cases, practice work and no chance to say "excel is difficult and boring" :)

About Katya
I got my first students in high school when I helped teachers and gave classes to the kids from primary and since that time I've been teaching different people different things.
I graduated as economics specialist & teacher of economic theory
and it gives me a great knowledge of how to build classes what method to choose etc but I prefer to teach more practical and useful things.
I enjoy sharing things I know to help others live better simpler life. It's so exciting to see how my student starts practicing things she learnt and how it influences her life. Small excel tip helps to finish tasks in 5 minutes instead of hours of work. Yoga asana which gives you joy and balance for the whole day. Receipt of healthy no-sugar dessert which is more tasty than anything in Cheesecake factory. Small things change your life.
I'm friendly and ea
sy-going person and I know how to make classes efficient and interesting.

Built-in Formulas and Functions (sum, avg, etc)
Charts and Pivot tables

Lessons can be tailored to your specific need or desired feature.

I've been training people in Excel for over 20 years, mainly teaching at local community colleges. I teach in a way that people can understand - simple but thorough. Speed is secondary to understanding.

About Steve
Hello,
My name is Steve and I've been teaching for over 30 years in high school and college. My main field was Algebra and Geometry but nothing has excited me more than teaching Excel and watching people understand what it can do for them and their business. Excel is very powerful but also can be very simple - it all depends on what you want to do with it. You don't have to learn it all and I will work hard to give you just what you need while pointing out possible topics you might be interested in. Also, I will help you after the lessons are over with creating formulas and/or troubleshooting. I have taught classes in many of the businesses in East Tennessee as well as two community colleges. I hope you will give me a chance to help you!

His teaching style is effective and efficient, and yet he pays careful attention to each student and provides thorough answers to all questions. Highly recommended.

I have more than 5 years in using Excel and VBA advance development. I am good at Excel operations, functions, charts, pivot tables and VBA advance development. About functions, I know badly about those basic functions like vlookup, if, count, countifs, sum, sumifs, etc; and I also know badly about the advance functions, like array functions, the complex functions 'index+small+if+row', etc. About VBA development, I could write macros to manipulate the other applications like outlook, power point, access and internet explorer which allows to download data from website to Excel directly; I also master the script objects, like dictionary, ODBC, etc. My colleagues said that I know everything about Excel

About Bill

So I guarantee that not only could you learn a lot about Excel and office applications, but also you could learn how to think and be more efficient which is the most important thing in study and work.

About AHMED
I do not see teaching as simply repeating what has been already detailed in text books and lectures. Everyone’s mind is different and thus everyone has a unique perception to understanding one issue or another. Things are better illustrated with an example.

A while back, there was a television show hosted by a T.V. personality named Monty Hall. In the show, Monty presented a contestant with 3 closed doors. Behind one door was a new car. And behind each of the other two doors was a goat. The contestant had the option to choose one door so as to win the new car.

The probability that a car was behind door 1 or door 2 or door 3 was the same, about 33.33%. Let us say that the contestant picked door 1. Monty would then open one of the other two doors that were not chosen by the contestant. There were 3 terms in the game: 1) Monty knew what w
as behind each door; 2) Monty cannot open the door that was already chosen by the contestant; 3) Monty would only open a door that hides a goat.

Let us say Monty opened door 3 revealing a goat. Monty then asked the contestant if the contestant would like to switch to door 2 or keep his original choice of door 1. Contestants would be bewildered not knowing really what to do. Was it better to keep the originally choice or was it better to switch or it would make no difference whether to keep the original choice or switch?

Meet Marilyn vos Savant. Marilyn wrote a column called “Ask Marilyn” in a newspaper called Parade. Marilyn was known for having one of the highest recorded IQ. A reader sent Marilyn a letter asking her if it was better to switch or not to switch. Marilyn stated in her column that a contestant should switch since switching doubled the contestant’s chances of winning. Many of Marilyn’s readers erupted in protest including readers with Ph.D., mathematicians, and academicians. Most people believed that the probability that a car was behind door 1 or door 2 was the same of 50%.

This became known as The Monty Hall Problem or The Monty Hall Paradox. Articles and books were written over this problem. Actually Marilyn was right and this was proven using computer simulation. Yet until today many people cannot understand that switching doubles the chances of winning.

At first glance this paradox might seem irrelevant to teaching. But I think it does. This paradox tutor the mind in the subject of structured thinking which is very important in learning.
