Talented teachers are rare. Like a great coach i sports... the coach doesn’t need to be the top athlete in his field to know how to teach each team member to hone their best abilities, he just has to know and see how to teach you how to get there. Being an outstanding teacher is a great talent all in itself... and that is Jesse. He has that quality and ability to lead, focus and take you where you want to go.

Jesse has given directions on how to successfully become a better musician. His approach and explanation on musical theories was much more understandable than what I was previously reading. Overall, I found the lessons to be very usefull.

I believe in teaching strong fundamentals so that we can have a solid foundation to build on. Good tone and an understanding of embouchure are most important, and we will develop technique. I enjoy helping students achieve their goals and develop their talents.

My son was very happy with his first lesson with Victoria. He had been away from the flute for several months, and was eager to return. So far she accessed his level, and they picked up where he left off with his previous lessons. He's pleased and says that she is teaching him at his learning edge.
Megan J.
Victoria is a fantastic teacher. I am an adult who picked up the flute some years ago. This year I decided to be disciplined and seek out a teacher. I started to see a difference in my ability immediately. After around 6 months I can say that I am further along than I ever thought I would be. She's respectful and a lot of fun. Sign up and go see her already!!

I have been a public school music teacher for 30+ years. I am an optimistic, enthusiastic person, who will help you learn music reading in addition to music playing. I started on piano as a young child, and studied clarinet from elementary school through college, where I focused on french horn. I h

I’m taking beginner cello lessons with Linda.

She is super positive and encouraging and meets me exactly where I am in my learning and goes from there.

She asks what I want to do, points out when I miss things (like not taking a proper pause), and teaches me new skills (theory, now technique, etc.)

Very positive experience! After four weeks I can play cello while site reading the bass clef (I knew how to read piano music but not the bass clef very well).

I’m going to renew my lesson subscription with Linda!

Linda was awesome, very patient with a total beginner with not only cello but also playing music. She is great teacher , i can tell that from our first lesson.
Steven
My son has loved taking lessons with Linda. She is setting just the right pace with him. She is flexible given his strengths and weaknesses. He was genuinely disappointed when I told him he couldn't go to lessons this week because of a family commitment. Can't recommend highly enough!

I love the acoustic guitar and have been playing on and off for 30 years. I look forward to getting you started on your way to being the life of the party by accompanying your own vocals, or having your friends and family sing along with your newly discovered talents. In our beginner lessons, we'll learn some easy ways to tune your guitar, some basic techniques, strumming, picking and chord progressions. (we may even throw in a little music theory, but don't be intimidated.)

As an adult beginner, I chose Anastasia for more personalized instruction, especially in technique, after learning the basics through community center group lessons. I have not continued only because another equally well-qualified instructor who lives close by, within walking distance, has become available. I am very pleased with the lessons and pointers that I have received. Anastasia is professional, encouraging, and friendly. An especially helpful part of her instruction is the set of comments and suggestions that she writes down to guide practice between lessons. If the neighbor instructor does not work out, I’ll be back.

Viola Vs. Violin: What's the Difference?

Have you ever seen someone holding a stringed instrument, seemingly a violin, and used it as a conversation starter with them?  “That’s so cool that you play the violin!  How long have you been playing?” Only to get the response you most feared “It’s a viola actually”.
