I have taught in small groups and with individuals. I have even taught over the phone...before FaceTime. I can teach beginners that will help them with their confidence in learning this new skill. What sets me apart is my personality. I learned in an unusual way and I share that with my students. I have found sharing my path will show my students they can learn too.

About Carrie

I look forward to teaching you how to crochet. I love the art and have been sharing it with my family and friends for years. It’s a relaxing skill that makes up for a hard day sometimes. It’s also fun to. You will learn that there are patterns and then there’s inspiration. I can’t wait to meet you

Athan provided first rate poker instruction for our family members ranging in age from 11-50. He started us on the basics and after a few lessons it became one of our favorite family games. We would play on our own and then review our games with him. He answered all of our questions and gave excellent advice on play. I would recommend him to anyone looking to learn this dynamic game.

Athan is a fantastic teacher and communicator. To shake things up a bit this summer, I arranged an online poker lesson with Athan for my son. I saw later that Athan's resume is super impressive -- Yale, Cornell, professional poker player, CEO multiple times over. So impressive, actually, that leading up to the lesson I was wondering whether he and my son would even be able to communicate with each other, and whether I was getting my son into something that was way over his head. I sat next to my son the whole time, and saw the whole lesson. Athan came in and knocked the lesson out of the park. He knew his "audience," was totally prepared, and said all the right things at the right times to keep everything clear, interesting and effective. Just as one example, at the beginning Athan asked my son a couple questions about his other interests (e.g. what do you do? do you play sports? like math?) and when Carter told him the answers, Athan memorized them. Then throughout the lesson, Athan kept analogizing the principles he was teaching to those experiences Carter had told him about. Amazing! I was blown away. Athan's not only an apparent master of his poker craft, but he's got real talent when it comes to communication more broadly. It's no wonder he's traveled so far.

Vena was very knowledgeable in all of the areas of sewing I had questions in. She drew on her 15 years' professional experience to give me great pointers for the clothing line I am getting up and running; was patient, and fun! Thank you Vena!

Vena is very knowlegable about patternmaking and haute couture techniques. Besides, that she also helps me to see exactly were difficulties could come up, so that I wouldn't get into the usual beginner troubles!

As a person, she is calm and positiv minded. If you search for someone that knows a lot, has experience in the industry and it super precise- I can really recommend her!
