Had my first lesson last night to learn about night photography. I bought myself a fancy camera (Sony A7R4) and I had no idea how to use it or what any of the buttons did other than turning it on and having it set to auto. I didn’t know the first thing about photography other than point and shoot. Irina immediately had me change my camera to manual and told me to not use auto. I loved that! Irina also told me the lesson was going to be a lot of information for a beginner such as myself wanting to learn about my photography first. Yes, it was a lot to take in but, I can say that I left my lesson with Irina feeling way more confident about how to use my camera properly and I can’t wait to have additional lessons to learn more. Now I know the 3 basic settings of Shutter, Aperture and ISO and how they affect your shots and Irina even put together a booklet for me that explains the basics of photography that includes the need to know information on how to change settings depending on photography location, lighting time of day, desired effects etc. Fantastic job Irina and I can’t wait to learn more with additional lessons.

I lost the "joy" of photography with Irina. Technically, she knows her stuff, but her sensitivity and people skills are lacking. Barely an encouraging word. I felt degraded, nervous, and overall shitty by the end of the second lesson. Hoping for a better experience with another teacher.

I take lessons from Marcel for about 5 years now. We started with Accordion and I asked him later if he could teach me German as well. I knew he would teach German. No I am taking 3 hours accordion and mostly 2-3 hours German on the weekends and I am loving it.

I can truly say he is one of the best teachers / tutors out there. He is not only super patient but puts so much heart and passion into the lessons.

I know he is mostly super busy but if you have the chance to take lessons with him, I would say GO FOR IT! :)

She said she couldn’t help me unless we were on zoom. No one told me this and I don’t know how to do zoom. So then she told me to connect to her on the computer and not my phone so I tried that. That didn’t work. So she looked at my screen and told me it was blurry. Then after all that we lost connection and she was unwilling to reschedule so I could actually get what I paid for which was help!!! All my other teachers on here have been good, but I can’t recommend jasmine as it was a complete waste of my money.
