The saxophone can be one of the funnest instruments to play, no questions asked! In order to reach that point it's important to have certain things in order such as: sound production, breath support, musicality, and technique. In lessons use a variety of exercises and method/etude books, playing duets together, as well as listening and ear training to give my students a well rounded approach to the saxophone and music helping them to become the best musician they can be.

About Bill

Bill T. is a Broadway musician with over 20 years of teaching experience and as a performer. Bill currently leads his own group and is a member of several others ranging from big band to Ethiopian funk music. Bill enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities and specializes in teaching pra

Bill is a wonderful saxophone and clarinet teacher for my two sons. He's currently working with my older son to prepare for a clarinet audition. The process of preparing for the audition showed me some important qualities about Bill: 1) he goes above and beyond for his students (e.g. he recorded my son's solo piece in various tempos to help with practice); 2) he's flexible in making time for his students based on their needs; and 3) he's supportive and likable. My younger son, who took 4 saxophone lessons from Bill, mentioned Bill as one of the reasons for picking the instrument for band next year. I highly recommend Bill.

When we were searching for the right clarinet teacher, it was important to find not just a teacher, but a professional musician. Bill was the right guy for the job.

My daughter Lili had been playing for four years and Bill stepped in with techniques that really took her musicianship to the next level. He is patient, organized and, per Lili, "A dope dude."

Bill has helped Lili with music that she is working on for marching and concert band at school while creating customized warm ups specifically for her. During the pandemic he has been flexible with his schedule, generous with his time and has kept Lili motivated in her music and on track while her school bands have had a hard time playing together.

He is a pro who is communicative, responsive, and punctual for all of the lessons.

I highly recommend Bill as a teacher. He and his band put on a pretty good show as well!

Bill is the real deal! The reviews were dead on. Bill is a superstar instructor. He is energetic, engaging, and an amazing teacher who knows the instrument. You will make great progress. I highly recommend him!

Our son Charles started taking lessons with Alex Sadnik when he was in 6th grade, and he is now going to be a senior in high school. It was in -home until the pandemic last year. After changing to him, Charles made tremendous progress quickly. Alex is a terrific teacher. He has patience , and is encouraging. He would often spend part of the lesson playing together with him, which was helpful. He would also allow Charles to choose some of the music he was interested in learning.
We would highly recommend Alex to anyone who wants to learn Saxophone or flute . You won’t be disappointed!!

Thank you Alex for being such a great teacher, musician and mentor. My son has enjoyed playing and learning saxophone under your guidance for the past five years.
We are happy that the transition from in person to online lessons has been seamless. We find it helpful that you review his prerecorded music/practice clips ahead of time so that lessons are spent giving feedback on what is most important. We appreciate the extra effort and thought you put into planning each lesson as well as your customized worksheets. We value your professionalism, commitment, positivity and encouragement in his musical journey.

I play and teach alto, tenor and baritone saxophone. I focus on getting my students to play in tune and in time by working with tuners and metronomes. Duet playing is a key factor in this process.

With over 20 years as a professional saxophonist and 15 years teaching experience I know the demands of a performing musician professionally and academically. I teach students how to produce a good tone quality with characteristic vibrato. I can teach students to become good at reading music. Students who are interested in jazz or pop styles of music will be taught improvisation techniques and how to play by ear.

About Carl

As far back as I can remember I have always enjoyed performing music. I can remember during my elementary school years how I would play drums during church service. Some days I would sneak in my dad's closet to play his saxophone. I began learning how to play saxophone in middle school and by the ti

"Matt is an excellent instructor, adapting easily to my needs as an experienced musician, but a new saxophone student. He was able to provide the guidance I was looking for on the C Melody saxophone, even though it's not one of his main instruments. Matt took me through the basics at a pace that was very comfortable and spent a lot of time to help me find a tone that was right for traditional / folk music on the instrument.

I feel much more comfortable with the C Melody saxophone than I did before the lessons, and I'm confident that Matt has put me on the right path to continue improving in the long term."
