Having to sit down and write a paper (whether it be your college thesis or a five paragraph essay for an elementary level English course) can be an intimidating and stressful if not overwhelming experience.

That's where I come in...To help you with both the assignment you are currently working on as well your writing process in general. Working on strengthening how you write will make writing easier and easier each time you do it, until you don't need my help at all.

Many people are not aware of the universal strategies and tactics that can be used in order to improve their writing at every stage in the process. Whether it be brainstorming, outlining, drafting, writing, editing, etc. Taking at look at and examining your writing process together will allow us to customize the tutoring session for your needs specifically.

Outside of helping to write papers I can assist with help in English grammar, Literature, Creative Writing, and many other related fields.

About Nick

My name is Nick and I have been tutoring in writing since I was in high school. I love to work with students from grade school to grad school and help to make lasting adjustments that improve writing over the long term. I became a Writing Consultant at St. John's University where I worked with h

During these literature lessons, I have greatly improved my writing skills, going from a B to an A- in AP Literature. I was also able to see how my writing could be improved and through this I was able to focus on these aspects of my writing through repeated exercises. I would recommend these lessons to any high school student who wants to take their writing skills to an even higher level.

Nick is a wonderful teacher, he is knowledgeable and perceptive. I first came to Nick for help on my essay for my college application. He was able to help me narrow down the options of topics to write about so that I could confidently write about a topic I am passionate about. He continued to help me outline and structure the paper so that it would be organized and academically acceptable, and finally, he helped with editing so that the final copy was ready. A few months later I received my letter of acceptance.
After helping with my college application essay, Nick continued tutoring me through my semester at Community College. he taught me how to do a close reading, to arrange paragraphs, and to better phrase my ideas. He offered new ways to strengthen my writing. Nick is so patient and full of encouragement, I could not have made it through the semester without him.

Nick is very patient and knowledgeable. He has helped me reconstruct many paragraphs in essays/college papers that I had to write. He has a keen eye and sees all the little mistakes and ways things could be rewritten to convey point. He has looked over several of my papers and edited them, and also helped me to learn to write better- not just fixing the problem for me. I have watched my grades go from C's to A's over time, he's great !

"I was getting really discouraged with MCAT studying and practice, so I decided to contact Dr. Alan.
He is extremely knowledgeable in general chemistry, organic chemistry and biochem. He also knows how the MCAT exam is designed and written. He is a great source of information.
Furthermore, he prioritizes making sure his students understand why certain answers are wrong or right. He is very detail oriented and really wants his students to understand the material.
Dr. Alan tutored me online, and shared his screen with me while working out chemical reactions and problems. He then saved all of that work and emailed it to me, so I could refer to it later.
Dr. Alan definitely tries to provide his students with the resources to succeed. He sends his students extra practice as well as power points and tutorials on information that he knows is tested on the MCAT.
I am very glad I contacted Dr. Alan, because he is a very dedicated caring teacher, and he really wants his students to do well. I would recommend him to anyone who needs some guidance on the MCAT!"

"I has reached out Rod at the point in which I resigned and I was expecting to get "B" in my statistics class. I was not confident and constantly struggled in responding to the test questions because I was not sure of concepts. Rod explained me concepts step by step in a very simple way also, by drawing the graphs and that everything was clear for me as visual person. He was able to answered and explained all my questions that I was well prepared and confident on my final exam. Thanks to him I gained the necessary knowledge and I ended with "A"."
