About Mandy
I have been singing since I was a little girl and began studying voice at age 15. I was singing in my first band when I was in high school and participating in vocal competitions. Professionally, I was a back-up vocalist and percussionist with the Sam Morrison Band from 2006-2012, where I traveled all over the country.

I have studied and performed genres like opera and Lieder and performed in China and Europe with the California State University, Long Beach choirs.

I have worked in opera companies based in southern California, including Lyric Opera of Los Angeles, Long Beach Opera, and Celestial Opera. I have also been hired as a soloist at various local churches.

I was a faculty member at Orange County School of the Arts, for almost a decade, where I taught Music Theory, Music History, and Musicianship.

As a member of B
elle Musique, a hand bell trio, I played and sung for weddings, funerals, and private parties.

In addition, I manage and play in a band, Wheel House, where we create a unique blend of rock, blues, and funk.

It is my belief that it is never too late to follow your passion, but you have to find what really makes you happy and fulfilled!

This is in addition to learning fundamental repertoire.

I have very high expectations for my students and do my best to motivate and challenge them, bringing out the natural musician. I am goofy but demanding and always develop a strong and trusting relationship with each and every student.

Hello! I'm a drummer and drum teacher based in San Francisco.

I have 30+ years playing drums in and 15 years teaching experience under my belt and although my focus has been the drum set the past 25 years, my foundation was in orchestral percussion and the rudiment heavy discipline of marching band.

About me: After moving to San Francisco in the fall of 1998, I quickly became part of a vibrant and diverse music community here and toured and recording with artists such as Citay, Crime In Choir, Tussle, Daevid Allen(of Gong), Carletta Sue Kay, Damo Suzuki(of CAN) and 3 Leafs to name a few. Since 2002 I have taught drum lessons privately, and for institutions such as The Paul Green School of Rock, Vibo Music, Alma Music Academy, Live Oak elementary school, Children's Day elementary school and The San Francisco Rock Project and cont
inue to perform around the Bay Area and beyond.

As a teacher, I try to cater to the individual needs of each student while focusing and good technique and the fun, expressive qualities of the drums. Thanks for your consideration!

Hi! I graduated from USF with a degree in Biology and Neuroscience. I began studying piano when I was 4 through the Suzuki method and started teaching when I moved to San Francisco to start school. I am dedicated to the Suzuki method and believe in it. When I take on a student, I want them to accomplish their goals but will require that they practice and prepare for each lesson. With practicing done, we can work on and hone your skill together and (I hope) develop a love for music and an instrument I hold very dear.

About Michael
My name is Mike, and I have been teaching the guitar for over 20 years. I have helped hundreds of musicians develop their skills. As a performer, I have played in many bands, and shared the stage with performers such as Imagine Dragons, Train, Blues Traveler, Camper Van Beethoven, and countless others. In addition to teaching music and rock ensemble to the students at the University of San Francisco, I maintain an active schedule of teaching, performing and recording. My most memorable musical experience was playing "Imagine" on my guitar for His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in 2003.

My teaching philosophy is that if you understand the instrument, you can play any style of music you choose. The more you dedicate yourself to learning the fretboard, the more freely you can express yourself musically.

Private instruction includes eve
rything from basic chording to advanced theory and technique, with a focus on the mechanics of the instrument. Topics covered include rhythm and technique studies, chord and scale theory, chord progressions, songwriting, musicality and performance, and improvisation. These topics are studied at a rate commensurate with the studentʼs ability.

I'm going to be a 3rd year student at Pepperdine University pursuing an Engineering degree. I'm a huge language learner, being able to converse in about 8 languages but I only wish to teach 3 of them for now. As someone who prefers self studying to learning from classrooms, I've perfected the method for students to improve drastically from their previous lesson by self preparing. I prefer to teach online especially for further students but those that are close I wouldn't mind commuting. My hours are pretty flexible during the weekdays.
