About David
I have been a working musician and occasional private music teacher for over 40 years. During that time I had a career in the professional audio and video industry, during which I learned how to successfully deal with people. I recently returned to school and completed a Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree at CSU Sacramento. My goal is to bring excitement and enthusiasm for music and playing an instrument to my students, and to create musicians who will make and enjoy music throughout their lives. I play guitar, bass guitar and flute, and enjoy teaching all of them to all age groups.

*** Lesson Details ***
Playing music is supposed to be fun. Lessons include playing, so they should be fun as well. My lessons are both focused and fun. I believe you get out of music what you put in. If a student doesn't practice in between lesso
ns, I will know. If a student does practice, I will know that as well. My lessons stress not only what to practice, but how. In 3-6 months, the beginning student can expect to be able to make a pleasing sound on the instrument, and be able to play beginning repertoire. Most importantly, the student will be able to play well enough to enjoy the instrument, which inevitably leads to more productive practice and continued improvement. This continued improvement is what lessons are all about.

*** Travel Equipment ***
If I travel to a student's home, I will bring my instrument only. I expect the student to provide all other equipment necessary for the lesson.

*** Specialties ***
Folk guitar, rock and roll and blues bass, classical flute, analog and digital recording, music theory

I've been teaching bass guitar for 3 years both privately and through schools. My goals as a teacher are to impart both a thorough understanding of the instrument as well as love for music to my students. I do this by making my lessons fun and tailoring them to each student's interests and skill level. My approach is simple: if my student walks away understanding the material present, I've done my job. If this means I have to explain it in 19 different ways, then so be it!

About Josh
Hi, there! My name is Josh and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2009 and have loved helping my students master an instrument, accomplish their goals, and have a blast learning music. I went to Manhattanville College and earned a BA in Jazz and Classical guitar performance in 2012. I'm a hardworking and dedicated teacher and my teaching style is straight forward, fun, and tailored to you. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

About Mike
I teach all styles of music and all levels of ability

As I look back at my life, I see that music was my constant companion. My passion for music, and more specifically for the guitar, goes back to the time when, as a ten year old I received a guitar for my birthday. The sound of the instrument truly struck a chord in my heart and I learned to respect and love the instrument to the point that I thought of it almost as a companion, as something alive or, more exactly, as something my fingers could make come alive. At first I wanted to play rock and popular music, but eventually I switched to classical. When I entered the realm of classical music, a whole new world opened up for me -- new feelings, new emotions, and new challenges.
My enthusiasm for music continued, and beginning in 1990 I attended the Hartt School of Music, part of
the University of Hartford. I knew, of course, that the education of a musician is truly never finished, and between 1995 and 1997, I took Master Jazz Classes in New York City, under the direction of Dennis Cinelli, the international guitar player and soloist.
While in Florida, I attended classes at Florida International University. Between 2000 and 2003 I played in an orchestra on board the ships of the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
All along the way I have been teaching the guitar at just about every level, an activity that I always enjoyed but admittedly is somewhat limiting. Teaching brings us back to the basics, but for a musician performing is what makes us grow professionally and satisfy us emotionally.

Slappa da Bass! I have taught bass to students in school bands, absolute beginners and students who just plain want to get better.
4 or 5 string.

About Todd
Hi! I'm a full-time music teacher (guitar, bass and ukulele) who's been teaching 50+ weekly students for over 12 years! I am very easy-going and do my best to make lessons fun for all of my students. I have been playing in performing (not garage) bands for over 25 years and have an actual AA degree in music from Sierra College! I am versed in songs from classic rock up up through today and am always trying to be on the cutting edge of teaching, using my iPad, Youtube and the Amazing Slow Downer app with almost all of my students. No books to buy--I write out your lesson on my tablet and send it to your e-mail to practice! Feel free to hit me up with any questions.

Both my sons have taken lessons from Todd for over a year. They love going to lessons and look forward to it throughout the week. I have been impressed at how quickly they have learned to play actual songs. Todd teaches reading TAB, and also music reading. He is very kind and patient. He always lets us know about schedule changes ahead of time and is especially accommodating if we need to change our schedules.

Play bass like a “real” bass player, not a guitar player who couldn’t hack it. Insights on fundamental music theory and Nashville number system. More importantly, learn how to be “the guy” that everyone loves working with.

About Dave
I have been a professional bass player for over 15 years. My experience is primarily with cover bands: top 40, dance, rock, hot country, etc

Also, I have been playing in churches for over 20 years.

Finally, I have about 3 years of teaching experience.

As a teacher, I am happy to show you how a specific song is played, but my real interest is in equipping you with the tools to be a bonified “working musician”. Learn the Nashville Numbers System. Learn about modes and scales. Learn solid fundamentals and you will have the tools to teach yourself any song that you want! ...and learn about the world of “gigging”. Sure beats working for a living :)

About Krista
Welcome! I am a performing pianist, accompanist, singer, and multi-instrumentalist. I have been teaching for over 25 years, in schools and privately. I emphasize learning enjoyment and convenience, with lessons at your location or at the studio.

You will use top tier programs, and technology as appropriate, to learn quickly and with good techique.

Voice students can expect to improve week to week in your vocal technique. Every voice has a unique sound; we will work to unlock your own individual style and sound, using music you enjoy. You can sing with freedom, confidence, and expression.

I teach piano students of all different ages and experience levels. I am classically trained, but perform many styles of music. For students age 7+, your accelerated piano program includes a proprietary software to help you progress at amazing
speed, so you can play the music you love, with technical skill and artistry. No more wondering what to do next!

Young students (age 3-5) use a story based curriculum just for young beginners, with fun characters and success. Adult learners and players who want to refresh your skills love our group recreational music program. It's a relaxed environment to play and improve your foundation.

As a multi-instrumentalist, I encourage students to explore a second or third instrument or voice training. I love to mentor students who want to develop their talents. I teach several instruments.

My passion is teaching music. Everyone can learn, given the right tools. I firmly believe that great technique and performances are possible with just a few minutes of practice a day.

I look forward to helping you add to your natural abilities in an enjoyable, convenient learning environment. Let's get started!
