*** Lesson Details *** Lessons are tailored to the individual student's initial abilities. In all genres of music, it is important to breathe well, have breath support, communicate the emotion and character of the song, and eliminate vocal bad habits. These issues are different for everyone.
I teach a classical Italian technique of breath support and beautiful tone, and these techniques can be applied to all musical styles.
The student will be assigned and choose songs to learn and work on as we incorporate the techniques into the songs and vocal exercises.
Piano lessons and Italian lessons are also available from ages 4 and up. Piano lessons include music theory and recital participation. Voice lessons include recital participation. Italian lessons are available at my location, your location or online.

Francesca's focus at CSULA was in classical voice. Having studied with voice with Donald Brinegar, Dr. Susan Kane and Dr. Carol Cleary Francesca has a strong background in Bel Canto technique and classical repertoire.
Alumnae of CSULAs music department with an emphasis in classical voice and guitar, Francesca's skills cover a vast ocean of information. With a background and formal education in opera and "the classics", Francesca is equally comfortable on stage at The House of Blues as she is at Disney Hall.
Francesca started teaching music at the early age of 16 with great success. She has honed her skills both in the private studio and in the classroom. Having served as musical faculty the California Music Academy, Cornelia Connelly High School, Pasadena Saturday Music Conservatory, and East Los Angeles College, having led choirs of 70+ high school girls and sung before sold out audiences of thousands of screaming fans, having toured 4 continents singing both classical repertoire and performing in commercial rock bands, having sung for president
s and princes, Francesca has high expectations and is skilled in helping her students reach their goals.
Now performing in the Donald Brinager Singers, a studio choir for-hire, Francesca can often be seen performing with orchestras throughout Southern California. While mentoring through her award-winning teaching studio, Francesca also manages to perform several showcases featuring her original music with her amazing back-up ensemble.
With a constant effort to maintain a professional studio learning environment and with a focus on reading skills and solid technique, Francesca's students enjoy lessons packed with information and light-heartedness. The one on one experience you will have the moment you walk thru the door promises to be unmatched. Francesca's students can be seen on major television networks, radio stations and performing around town in various projects. With a passion to give back, Francesca reserves a small number of spots in her schedule for the youngsters and seniors of her community. A Note From Francesca:
My official bio is listed below, but perhaps more important than the things I have done are the things that I am doing. I am now approaching my 15th year of teaching. I love to teach! I carry a minimum of 30 students, but have carried more then 80 at one time, and have never once complained. My waiting list cycles based on my performance schedule and recording schedule. If you don't see a time that works for you, feel free to reach out and see if we can find something that works, as an artist, my schedule can be quite full but also quite flexible. I love my students, I get to do what I love all day and I am sure it shows. I have a blast discovering new ways to experience music with "my kids." I call all of my students kids even though most of my studio consists of young adults. I try to have a young air in my classes at all times as it just makes the process so much more fun for everyone.
I've seen it all in through years: kids, adults, beginners and advanced students. I am personally very interested in being the most versatile musician possible and I love being able to share my knowledge with my students. We can study anything and everything from Classical Guitar to Electric Guitar Shredding; from Opera to Kelly Clarkson; from Tchaikovsky to Little Richard! I love getting students to dabble in little bits of all genres, often getting even the most skeptical student singing and playing comfortably in a matter of just a few weeks. My students will be able to read music for their favorite tunes and understand how to improvise from the start. Once you come in, you'll be hooked. You will have fun because I am having fun!
I encourage all of my students to share their favorite music with me. It affords me the opportunity to learn more about what they desire to learn and what types of music they enjoy. We will learn with your music often. After all, isn't that why you are coming to see me? I will introduce you to new sounds and styles, but will foster your love for music, and do my best to never force my music on students. I feel I learn as much from my students when I truly listen to them and their music as they do from me.
On site lessons are available for artists recording demos, rehearsing bands and setting up their own studios.
On a side note, I love seeing students at my shows! I am a full time musician and can be seen playing with my band, in my own solo project and in various choral settings. Check out my website and see what I do outside of the classroom. My students get a kick out of the idea that they can buy a CD with their teachers face on it, and to be honest, so do I. Many of my students have their own music out on iTunes and YouTube. Many more can be seen performing around town in solo projects and professional ensembles.
*** Studio Equipment *** Pianos, Guitars, Basses, Amps, Computer, Monitors, Music, Recording Software, Drum Kit, Studio and Performance Mics, everything we need! Its like Disneyland for musicians!

*** Specialties *** Francesca on Artist Development:
I feel obligated to share my joys and experiences-
Not many people have been blessed to sing alongside as many renowned musicians as I have - I've been lucky to be welcomed in both the commercial and classical worlds and they have both afforded me venues to use my voice and express the most vital corners of my soul. To find your purpose through art is one of the greatest gifts you can receive. And to be able to do that in front of thousands of music lovers live or over the airwaves is a surreal experience.
It's funny, my classical cronies are impressed to hear my stories of packed rock gigs at the House Blues and national touring festivals like Warped Tour and my rock buddies ask to hear my stories of Disney Hall performances with the LA Phil. To be honest, Iâ'm impressed to be there too. Sometimes, I look around and think, how did I get here? How did I get lucky enough to live the dream, to find a home in music?
I've been luckier than most. I've had GREAT mentors who have always pushed me forward and shared their wisdom freely with me. Part of the classical musician's central goal is to educate. That's a value I carry into my rock projects and production studio. Work smarter, not harder. Take the needed skills, create art, teach others how to do the same thing, move forward together to live happier, more productive lives filled with purpose.
I have come to be known as one of the top Musical Mentors & Artist Development Experts on the west coast. A behind the scenes- diva of dream building with the skills to push artists to the next level- the ace up the sleeve of many of today working talents. In my award winning studio, I spend time coaching the young voices and faces of today hottest TV shows seen on ABC, Nickelodeon, and the Disney Channel, but I still have a soft spot for up and comers in the indie music world. Having written and performed my own music for decades, I not only lived the collegiate experience of the elite classical performer singing for presidents and world leaders, but also the dingy road of the rock musician who's showed one night to a packed stadium full of fans and showed up another, thousands of miles from home to play to a coffee shop of 5 people. Music has brought me to nearly every continent and introduced me to some of the most talented and diverse people you can imagine. I feel compelled to share these experiences with those around me so that they my develop the vision, the salt and the skills to persevere.
I am, above all, an artist & creator- living the dream, helping people- like you find their voice and write their songs. Turning raw emotion into art.
Each one of us has a story, our truth. Being an artist is about finding ourselves, our song and expressing it publicly so that we may heal, so that we may grow.
It doesn't take a ton of experience to write a hit song. It doesn't take a fancy education or a family line of talent (though it can help). We can all find our voice, our place in the spotlight, what it takes is the courage to take the next step forward.
You've already had the genius to be in the right place at the right time. Here. If you've made it this far, chances are you are smart enough, hungry enough and ready to take the plunge.
Inside my studio you will find the help you seek. I can impart you with proven techniques to strengthen your sound, develop your tone through strong technique, develop strategies to share your art and develop a plan to turn pipe dreams into reality. Some desire to sing on the worlds brightest stages, others strive to lead others through teaching themselves, and some wish for nothing more than to experience music in a confident manner among friends. All can be lead on this personal journey of the artistic soul and all can make their offering to the musical gods. There is a place at the table for anyone seeking an answer.
I have been seeing Francesca for a year now. I LOVE going to my voice lessons because I know I'm going to get so much more than just a voice lesson. She always welcomes me with an open heart and love. The studios are a nice cheerful, safe space to be vulnerable while singing. My teacher is my biggest cheerleader, that's always available for a hug or advise. I'm lucky to call her my friend now. Francesca is my voice teacher and life coach. She makes me work hard and always WANT to learn more. I really couldn't recommend her more highly. She's who you need to see if you are looking to expand your artistry. I was so glad she took my call and welcomed me into her studio. It's evident that she loves what are she does. While every pro singer in town ends up at BugByte, I also see Francesca and her assistants working with beginners. So there's room for everyone there, unsurprisingly.

Francesca is awesome! She is very knowledgeable and creates a really cool, welcoming environment. I had never had a voice instructor before and I wasn’t very confident with singing, but these sessions are really helping me work through that! Francesca is very encouraging and she creates lessons around the music that interests you! She taught me some really useful exercises to help me improve with range, pitch, etc. also, gives tools and homework to take home and practice! I’m stoked I found such a great voice instructor! Her dog is awesome too. 😎🤘

Thanks Francesca for making the lesson totally fun and relevant to my present level!
Opera Voice lessons are ideal for a student who enjoys singing in the classical style and wishes to learn opera literature suitable for their voice.
Pieces are assigned based off of the student's voice type (soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor, baritone, bass) and skill level.
These lessons work on a difficult level of repertoire so a younger student or a beginner may be assigned classical art songs until they are ready for the advanced repertoire.
Opera lessons are available to both students who wish to sing professionally as well as those who just have a desire to sing for fun.
Much of the repertoire is sung in Italian, French, and German so time will also be spent on diction (pronunciation of these languages).
During the past 17 years, Stacey has worked with students ranging from age 5 to 75 teaching classical, musical theater, Christian, and pop music. She accepts students of all ages, styles, and levels. Her students learn through vocal exercises, ear training, song, and performance techniques. Students also learn how to keep their voices healthy and are encouraged to participate in performing venues outside of lessons.
After teaching in New York and Ohio, Stacey held a teaching position at American River College and operated her private voice studio in Sacramento, California for 6 years. She recently relocated to San Diego where she maintains her private voice studio. Stacey has a Master of Music in Vocal Performance/Pedagogy from Ohio University, and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from SUNY Fredonia. Most recently, she c
ompleted the Summer Vocology Institute where she worked with several of the most knowledgeable researchers and therapists in the field of voice and completed additional Speech Pathology-related courses at the University of Pittsburgh. During graduate school, she taught as a graduate assistant and was hired after graduation as a Visiting Lecturer at Ohio University. Stacey also taught as the Affiliate Voice Instructor for the Athens Community School of Music and Voice Instructor at Studio 1 in Lancaster, Ohio.
A classically trained musician, Stacey performed locally in Sacramento as a soloist and sang first soprano with the Sacramento Master Singers. Although her love is art song, Stacey performed in both musical theater and opera productions during high school, undergraduate, and graduate school. Her roles include Despina from Mozart's 'Cosi fan tutte' and Nancy in Britten's 'Albert Herring'. She performed 3 degree recitals and was a 1998-99 Concerto Competition Winner at SUNY Fredonia.
*** Lesson Details *** I find it very important for my students to be comfortable and to enjoy their lessons. Our first lesson will include getting to know your comfort level and all the details of your voice. We will sing a lot of vocal exercises, find out what you already know, and set basic goals. For a normal lesson, I always start with vocal exercises and progress into our song literature.
I am an energetic instructor and love what I do. Everything I teach is based on solid, healthy vocal technique. I apply this classical technique to all styles of singing from musical theater to pop and of course classical. Sometimes I will assign you a song, but usually I give you a choice between 2 or 3. I always encourage you to bring in your own song choices as options!
Students always ask how quickly they will progress. The answer is...it's completely individual. If you strive for a reasonable goal and practice efficiently generally you will progress nicely.
*** Specialties *** I specialize in classical and musical theater voice, and use the basic efficient healthy technique used in these styles to work with students who prefer to sing popular styles. I spend a lot of time on a solid foundation in breathing and learning to sing in a healthy way.
Perfect instructor for me! Stacey is so much fun to work with. She really listens to what it is I want to work on and explains things in an easy to understand way. I can feel a big difference in my voice already!

Great first lesson. Looking forward to more!
May 8, 2019
I could not be more pleased! I had some clear goals and Stacey is really helping me with them. She is so talented and professional, yet kind and very supportive. She answers all of my questions about breathing exercises and warmups and goes over the songs I want to sing with me.
Opera is such an exciting subject area! It requires not only top-notch technique but also expressiveness in the music and the ability to draw the audience into the moment and feelings of the character. I want to help you bring out the best qualities of your voice so you can engage the audience and truly shine in your role!
I grew up in a musical home with a piano teacher for a mom. Consequently, I started learning piano and singing at a young age, and then began taking voice lessons in high school. For the last 19 years I have been studying voice and loving every minute of it! I am a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and Music Teacher's Association of California. I have a bachelor's degree in music education from Bob Jones University, and a master's degree in Vocal Performance from Azusa Pacific University. I also studied for 2 summers during college with a master teacher. Over the years I have performed and worked with both children's choirs and adult choirs and given private concerts. My enthusiasm for music has spilled over into a love for teaching. I have taught private voice lessons for the last 8 years to students ranging in a
ge from 5 to 50+. Some have been beginner students, and others were seasoned singers who wanted some refreshers and guidance. My forte is classical music but I have also worked with Broadway, Sacred, and Pop. I enjoy teaching beginning to intermediate piano as well.
*** Lesson Details *** For me, the most important key to success in music is consistency in lessons and in practice. I will work hard with my students to help them find a practice schedule that fits with their current activities and will help them reach their goals as a musician. Our lesson times will include theory and technique to help them gain skills and confidence and become well-rounded musicians. We can also prepare for any upcoming solos or auditions. I love music and I want my students to gain that same enthusiasm and excitement. I am a strong believer in positive reinforcement so my students will receive lots of praise and encouragement from me. Sometimes we might work hard to reach a specific goal, but we will have fun along the way. Depending on the course of study (piano or singing) I would expect the student to buy 1- 3 music books that we would work from.
*** Studio Equipment *** Home-Piano set up in the living room
*** Travel Equipment *** I have a keyboard I can use in case the student does not have a piano/keyboard.
Anna is a delight! She is so knowledgeable and I walk away from every lesson feeling liked I gained so much. I couldn’t be happier that I found her. She truly makes you believe you are capable of being a pianist, and as an adult student that can be difficult to believe. But she does. She’s everything a teacher should be, I highly recommend her!
April 19, 2019
Warm, patient, professional teacher. We focused on proper vocal technique for our first lesson. It was fun, and I definitely intend to keep learning with her.
April 4, 2018
Anna was wonderful to work with. She was very sweet and patient. We loved taking the lessons and will be back.
Lessons are fun. My philosophy is that students should have music in their lives and benefit from the lessons they take now for years to come. Learning music will help students with math skills, study habits, and develop a skill that will last for a lifetime.
After 3 months students will understand the fundamentals of their voice, warm up properly, be able to read and sing introductory passages. After 6 months the student will have learned basic music theory, how to read music, and have advanced through singing multiple songs.
Music is the biggest passion in my life. I love being able to share that gift with my students, and look forward to their progress as much as my own. I continue to grow and develop as a musician, and love connecting with people through music. My students all learn to love and appreciate music, theory and performing as I share my knowledge and expertise.
I have degrees in Violin, Viola and Vocal Performance, that I earned while on full scholarship for music. I started violin as a young child with the Suzuki Method and later added viola. I began singing professional gigs while still in high school, and was the youngest member ever with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Chorus at 17. I also have extensive experience singing in non-classical groups and bands and am comfortable performing and teaching musical theater, pop, country,
opera, operetta, and church music. With solid vocal technique my students are able to cross genres with ease, and sing whatever inspires them musically.
I currently play as a principle violinist with the La Jolla Symphony, and have also played as a section viola for the LJSO, sung with the San Diego Master Chorale and the San Diego Symphony. I was concertmaster in several symphony orchestras and have played as section leader for viola in numerous groups. I also play in and manage a string quartet and am also currently coaching small group string ensembles. My siblings and I have played in our family string quartet for over 20 years, and still perform together. Most recently I was chosen to record a new song Glow for Disneyland's California Adventure World of Color Winter Dreams.
I am comfortable teaching with various different methods, and cater lesson plans to the individual student. With over 18 years of teaching experience, I have taught students that vary in age from 3 to 75 years old, and am very comfortable with teaching children and individuals with special needs.
*** Lesson Details *** Lessons are fun. My philosophy is that students should have music in their lives and benefit from the lessons they take now for years to come. Learning to play a musical instrument will help students with math skills, study habits, and develop a skill that will last for a lifetime.
After 3 months students will understand the fundamentals of their string instrument or voice, know how to care for their instrument, warm up properly, be able to read and play/sing introductory passages. After 6 months the student will have learned basic music theory, how to read music, and have advanced through playing/singing multiple songs.
*** Travel Equipment *** I have a violin and viola that I bring to assist in teaching lessons. I expect that the students provide an instrument and their books. A keyboard or piano is essential for voice students for vocalization. A student need not know how to play piano in order to take voice lessons.
*** Specialties *** Vocal students are encouraged to pick songs from whatever genre sparks their interest. With violin and viola I use the suzuki method of training and follow the books and lessons, I use other books to supplement scales/technique.
Betsy is a wonderful violin instructor, and we found her sense of play, imagination, balanced with the need to instruct a good fit for our three year old daughter. Thank you Betsy for your patience and flexibility!
August 15, 2019
Leah had a wonderful first lesson with Betsy! She provided great instruction and made her feel comfortable. Thanks so much!
September 16, 2017
Betsy was my daughter's viola teacher for almost 2 years. She was consistently fun, nice, supportive, knowledgeable, and professional. We recommend her highly.
With over 10 years of teaching and performance experience, I can help you reach your goals. My teaching is very much influenced by my certification in Somatic Voicework™ The Lovetri Method. It is a body-based method of vocal training which is based upon voice science and medicine, traditional classical training, and various bodywork approaches. If you're struggling in a particular area of your voice, I can help you work through those issues.
Regardless of where your musical interests lie, I can help you improve your skills! Growing up, I fell in love with playing and singing all styles of music! I've delved into classical, jazz, R&B, soul, gospel, reggae, soca, pop and musical theater, and I can teach you how to apply proper technique to the genre(s) of your choice!
If you're looking to become a better singer, we will focus on finding the beauty and power in your voice in a healthy manner. Vocal health is an important component of everything I teach, and I work to eliminate strain and vocal fatigue. We will work on balancing your vocal registers to give you control over the troublesome middle range. With a healthy foundation in place, we will fine tune your skills by addressing pitch accuracy, vocal control, phrasing, dynamics, expression and microphone technique.
ou're interested in playing piano, you will learn how to read music and/or play by ear. You'll learn scales, chords, arpeggios, sight-reading, and basic music theory. For singers who are interested in piano, I've developed a great technique to teach you how to accompany yourself.
For songwriters, I can help you write stronger lyrics and set them to music appropriately.
In general, I'm pretty upbeat and fun. However, I expect you to practice. When you practice, you hear and feel the difference and everyone's happy! If you don't practice, you'll remain in the same place, and it's frustrating for everyone. :( Please, please, please practice! :)
My degree in music education and wide range of experience allows me to accommodate different learning styles. I have a knack for breaking down seemingly difficult or mysterious concepts in a way that's easy to understand. I also understand the demands of being a full time musician, and can offer advice to students who are interested in going that route.
I would love to help you enhance your enjoyment of music by making it fun and easy for you to learn!

I am excited about my teacher and my lesson. Cindy was not only patient but she explained things to me so simply. I found it quicker and easier to understand because of the way she explained things to me than when I have had explanations by my last two teachers. She is cheerful, friendly and has a beautiful spirit.
I am also very happy her location is convenient and not far from my home. THANK YOU!!
I have been an opera singer for more than 35 years, teaching piano and voice. With a unique technique, I will help you to reveal your natural voice and show your own timbre. Expect an improvement within weeks.

Although, this is the first time I am taking voice lessons I thought Aleksandr was great! I learned a lot (I just wanted to learn a particular song) and realized I needed more knowledge of music. Therefore, I hope to continue to grow with him.

Mr.Alexander is an EXELLENT vocal instructor.Very professional. He shows lots of interest in his students. He goes above and beyond his requirements as vocal instructor.I am very happy to have found Mr.Alexander for our son and would recommened him to anyone.

I believe that everyone has their own unique voice and she wants to help find that voice. Singing is a beautiful experience that enriches the soul. It motivates people to find their best possible selves. It is exciting, fun and brings happiness to all. I want to share this joy with everyone and hopes you will join me on this journey to find the beauty of music. I received my Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from Boston Conservatory and her Masters of Music in Voice and Opera Performance from Northwestern University. I am originally from Oceanside, California. I received my Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from Boston Conservatory and her Masters of Music in Voice and Opera Performance from Northwestern University. During my degree programs, I taught elementary school to college age students in musical theatre, pop and opera singing. As a performer, I specialize in both musical theatre and opera. She has worked with Ohio Light Opera, Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre and Lyric Opera San Diego. She has played roles ranging from Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes to Mother Marie in Dialogues of the Carmelites. When she is not singing, Ms. Steinman also loves to dance jazz, ballet, tap and hip hop.
I am known for my presence on stage and acting abilities and was once described as the Lucile Ball of opera. I enjoy sharing her heart and soul with
all around me, on and off stage. I believe that Art is essential to life and a basic need of human existence. While medical doctors help with physical pains, artists are doctors who help revive the souls of the world.

Tzytle has been trained at some of America's finest music institutions so we were excited to learn what we could from her expertise. We were pleased to find her warm, accommodating, and encouraging; overall a joy to be taught by. She breaks down difficult music concepts in language that we could understand and demonstrates a fervid passion helping her students' progress. Absolutely exceptional!
"I'm learning so much having lessons with Erin. She's a great teacher!"
"Excellent teacher! She emphasizes the basics and the importance of breathing and proper technique in order to build a strong and healthy voice! Patient an
d knowledgeable, with her teaching, my voice improved more than it ever has with any other teaching :)"
"Hannah was the music director at the Scotch Ridge Presbyterian Church in Carlisle, Iowa for the past three years, and was a wonderful addition to our cong
regation! I serve as the pastor of that church, and was always impressed with Hannah's ability to help not only plan the music for worship - this include weekly hymn selections - but also her incredible singing voice and vocal range. She will be missed dearly, and I do not hesitate in the least to recommend her expertise and skills in teaching."
"This was my first experience with voice lessons, and Cris the best teacher I could have hoped for! He has introduced me to all sorts of music techniques t
hat I’m sure I will need when I leave to study music in college, and he helped me to prepare any vocal requirements I might have to fill. He is always patient, knowledgeable, and easy to get along with; and he has inspired me to continue studying opera in the future. I would highly recommend him for any level of vocalist! :)"
"So far, I look forward to each lesson! Troy is very kind, yet very helpful and has helped me target on my personal goals with opera while also learning mo
re each time! I highly recommend him. It doesn't matter if you have no experience in voice or only experience in voice ( as my experience is theatre and musical theatre), he is patient in helping you achieve the goals set. I cannot wait to continue lessons with him!"
"This teacher makes me feel that I can accomplish anything!
Amber is the best voice teacher I have ever had. I needed help quickly to prepare an audition
piece for a University I was applying to out of state. I was under a real deadline and I had heard about Amber from one of her other students. We began to work on the piece and it was obvious I needed help with some of my techniques. Even though Amber was fitting me between other scheduled lessons, she found another time the next day and we worked on technique and over the next few days finished the audition piece. It was incredible and even the voice faculty commented on my song, and they were really impressed."
"Philip is amazing! He is very professional and patient. Definitely recommend him and look forward to more sessions!"
"I was nervous at first, and love practicing the red leather tongue twister and learning new techniques. I highly recommend Adam!"
"My first lesson was great! Stephen goes into great detail and is very encouraging. Being someone who has never sung before, and who doesn't like the sound
of his voice, I'll admit that I left the class with more confidence than I had imagined I'd get from a first lesson."
