Steven is an amazing teacher! I was skeptical at first about taking piano and singing classes online but after the first lesson I was confident that it's the best way to go. Steven knows how to motivate and scale the lessons appropriately. I've progressed so quickly and feel like I can really play the piano and sing. Don't miss out on taking lessons with Steven, you won't regret it.

Hey there! I'm a multi-instrumentalist with a strong foundation in Guitar, Bass, and Drums.

My lessons are curated behind a few things:
-the understanding of music theory (scales, chord progressions, rhythmic structure, song composition etc.)
-student's requests to learn specific songs and creating original song
-having FUN!

Because in my experience, you're not learning if you're not enjoying what you're doing.

After 6 years, of playing drums, I began my time as a guitar player. I grew as a guitar player tremendously fast because of my understanding and practice of rhythm. I began as an acoustic/folk guitarist, progressed into a blues/funk guitarist, and now play mainly funk, r&b and neo-soul. I also am accustomed to teach many other genres. I now write, produce, and perform my own music and stream online.

When you take lessons with me you can expect that the lessons will increase your music theory knowledge, finger/hand dexterity, rhythm, ear training, performance abilities, ...

About Kevin

I am a Multi-Instrumentalist who teaches Guitar, Drums, Bass, Music Production, Audio Engineering, Cinematography, Photography, and Video Editing. My instrumental experience includes 14 years of live performance, recording and songwriting. I focus my lessons around the understanding of music theo

It can be pretty intimidating singing in front of a stranger in their home but Daniel makes you feel at ease and comfortable. He also has very extensive vocal training with makes me confident that his critiques and recommendations will help me grow and develop my voice. I also love that he gives me actionable steps to take at home between lessons to improve even further. Highly recommend him for opera voice lessons!

Ruben is a great instructor and very flexible. He tailors his lesson strategy to the student's goals and creates a supportive environment. His focus is on building a solid understanding of music structures first and then applying to the guitar.

There was some confusion with the 'take lessons' website in that it scheduled my lesson for CST when both I and Ruben are in PST. I didn't spot it until 'day of' and Ruben was gracious and flexible in still being able to do the lesson at the later time. Not his fault and I appreciate his willingness to adjust his schedule once the issue was realized.

"I've been taking acoustic guitar lessons with Jimmy for a year and a half. When I started with Jimmy, I had no music theory background... none. I know I still have a lot more to learn, but now I am familiar with concepts including modes, constructing the diatonic major scale, sharps and flats, the circle of fourths and fifths... the list goes on. Jimmy has even guided me through transposing a chord progression. I could go on, but to summarize, because of Jimmy's teaching style, willingness to answer questions, and music knowledge, I now know a lot about how music works. :-)"

How to Simplify Your Live Guitar Rig for Performances

Don’t get me wrong, there is something extremely satisfying about plugging in …
