Picking up the acoustic guitar for the first time? Or pick up the acoustic guitar for the first time...in a long time? No problem, let's get you stringed up and back into the game. Each lesson is simple and effective, guaranteed to get your fingers in shape and able to reach those frets you had never reached before--sounds a little bit like the intro narrative to Star Trek...?

About Ben

EDUCATION I hold an M.P.A. and a B.A. from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) in Public Administration (what does that have to do with the Flamenco guitar?); prior to that those degrees, I received an A.A. in Political Science (again, what does that have to do with Flamenco guitar?).

I have been teaching acoustic guitar for years. I design my lessons based on the individual needs and goals of my students.

About Omar

My passion is sharing music with people. I love to answer questions and learn things I don't know, I know a good amount about guitar repair, improvised instrument building, how to buy a good instrument and not spend to much, and I have a vast knowledge of obscure instruments, and audio producti

Omar is great! Super knowledgeable and informed, and friendly! would definitely recommend!
Joseph
I loved my lessons with Omar! He's very knowledgable, and not just about the instrument but music in general. He worked with me for about 7 months to help achieve my goal of learning to improvise on the bass guitar. Omar is very easy to talk to and very funny. He knew how to take complicated music theory and really break it down so that I could understand it better. I left each lesson with an assignment, a technique or a song to practice what we learned in that week's lesson.

I feel very comfortable with being able to be at a jam session and play along with the rest of the group. He taught me how to come up with licks using factorials, how to create a solo using modes and adding some flavor to the solos with techniques such as pop and slap or changing the tempo.

Thank you, Omar, for being such a great teacher! I feel much more confident in myself as a bass player because of the time you spent with me and all of the knowledge you departed onto me. I am very appreciative of you for that - thanks again!

I am so thankful to have found Marcus as my bass instructor; he is the exact type of teacher I was looking for. His training and love for music were evident upon first meeting him. I have learned so much in the short time I have been taking lessons. He is a very patient and passionate teacher.

All around wonderful teacher

Marcus is quite the gifted teacher. By far the best I've had the pleasure to aspire under. He is very easy to understand, and doesn't overwhelm you, taking time on the little things (the most important). He creates an atmosphere that is encouraging to learn in. We all know those teachers that create a stressful environment that inhibits progressive learning, as well as frustration in yourself. Marcus is certainly the opposite. He is also quite easy to communicate with--Creating lesson plans, setting goals, etc... In summation, a professional and a friend I would recommend to anyone and everyone.

I often incorporate beginner guitar, piano, music theory, and ear training into my voice lessons. Many of my voice and songwriting students aim to learn how to accompany themselves, and a basic understanding of chords helps tremendously with pitch and being able to sing in tune.

About Brittany

Brittany offers private lessons in commercial and/or classical voice, songwriting, music theory, and ear training. She graduated the commercial music program at Belmont University with a focus on voice, songwriting, and music business in 2013. Brittany brings a unique skill set to the table, hav

Was skeptical at first but that was quickly turned around. My daughter absolutely loved Brittany and I could see they hit if off from the beginning. The instructor was polite, friendly, very encouraging, and motivating. I was thinking this would be a short term deal for a life experience as a birthday present to my daughter but I see now that I may be in this long term! We're all excited for the next session.

Brittany is absolutely fantastic with my 13 year old daughter who has never had any vocal training before. We are five lesson in, and from day one, you could tell Brittany really knows her stuff. We have seen fantastic progress in such a short time. Brittany's knowledge, patience, enthusiasm, and own personal talent shine through. My daughter looks forward to each and every lesson. We were lucky to find Brittany and I highly recommend her.

I teach predominantly rhythm guitar methods for both acoustic and electric guitar. My focus is on a healthy and sustainable technique, ensuring fluidity in your playing with minimal strain on your body. Whether you're playing folk, reggae, funk, or metal; fingerstyle, or with a pick, I can help you sound better, play longer, more imaginatively, and more comfortably, and have more fun.

I've been playing folk, country, and rock guitar since 1995, and played rhythm guitar in gigging old-time bands for ten years. I currently play bass and sing in a cover band, and release original music and collaborations on major streaming platforms (under the name "Dan Easley".)

About Dan

I've been playing music since I was five years old (so, over 35 years now), beginning my 'stage career' as a saxophonist in school bands, then playing guitars, keyboards, accordions, mandolins, banjo, and bass in a variety of live acts throughout my adult life. I've made (as of January 2020) 16

"I've been taking acoustic guitar lessons with Jimmy for a year and a half. When I started with Jimmy, I had no music theory background... none. I know I still have a lot more to learn, but now I am familiar with concepts including modes, constructing the diatonic major scale, sharps and flats, the circle of fourths and fifths... the list goes on. Jimmy has even guided me through transposing a chord progression. I could go on, but to summarize, because of Jimmy's teaching style, willingness to answer questions, and music knowledge, I now know a lot about how music works. :-)"

Kevin has a passion for music and his students and it shows in his teaching. He is patient and lets the student learn at their own pace. He provides them with instruction on what to work on for the next lesson and any tools that may help with the student's progress. Kevin involves the parents on their child's achievements and sends weekly updates to the parents so they know what their child needs to focus on. I highly recommend Kevin !!!"
