The main challenge in science is learning vocabulary. It is almost as if you are learning a second language. In tutoring, we will follow an existing lesson plan (if there is one), but I would expect my students to provide their own text book.
I have been teaching young students piano since 2012. I have completed my education for a music education degree, and am the former president of the Cal State Piano Society. I have been playing piano for many years and love every aspect of music. My goal is to pass my passion for music onto my s

As a math and standardized test tutor, I strive to stay results-oriented and based around the student's needs. In past experience as a tutor in college, where I was an undergraduate math major, I would often see shortcuts to problems that to me were simpler than the methods taught in class, but I became acutely aware of the need to approach learning from students' point of view in addition to my own. Putting students first calls me to help them directly with their needs and to meet them where they are.
As a violin teacher, I always aim to set goals for students, to guide students towards them, and to be direct as possible so far as is appropriate. I also try to stay results-oriented throughout the process. Even if not all of a student’s progress is directly attributable to me, the most important

I am Russian speaking native with a Moscow pronunciation which is considered as a standard, model pronunciation in Russia. During my extensive music education in Moscow and Leningrad I got the degrees of a Musicologist and Music Editor and Lecturer side by side with my Piano degree which shows that my skills in Russian language were professionally trained. I had a long time experience when helping people of different countries in Europe how to learn and improve their Russian. I continue helping American people in this. I hope you will enjoy a lot of wit and creativity when learning Russian with me.
I hold a Master's degree in Piano Pedagogy and Music Theory and History. I established my own teaching method that is based on European classical teaching tradition. I am familiar with most of the American piano teaching methods and use their achievements in my teaching widely. Personally, I am
I cannot recommend Anna enough. Her dedication and patience is unparalleled and she cares so deeply for her students. She is methodical, attentive, thoughtful, and is an absolute hidden gem of a teacher. Anna opened a world of music to me and I don’t think I can ever truly express how much that means to me. Not only am I a better musician because of her, but I’m also a better person. Her attention to detail and passion have challenged the way that I approach work and hobbies beyond just music.
Anna is particularly skilled as an educator. Beyond simply giving information for students to practice or memorize, she helps them apply the concepts to real musical pieces, guiding them along the way. Her calm but advanced method of teaching helps students advance quickly through musical concepts.
Over the past eleven years, I have spent literally hundreds of hours with Anna honing my craft. If anyone has seen the extent of her talent as a teacher, I’d like to think it’s me.
Five stars out of five stars. Always.

Hi there! First, I understand the pain of taking a standardized test, it sucks and we have to deal it somehow:) I went through the GRE preparation myself and got a pretty good score (170+163). I would give you a diagnosis mini-test at beginning, and create a customized study plan for you. Of course, I will share with you my secrets and study tips, and show you how to apply them in a real timed test condition.
I also have all the preparation materials of GRE and a software that you could take timed test, which means you do not have to purchase anything more for your study. I look forward to talking to you and helping you to reaching your ideal scores!

His teaching style is adaptive! He focuses on the needs of the student and makes learning French feel less like a chore. The environment he sets is one that allows the student to make mistakes without judgement. I greatly appreciated on the spot corrections when I made a mistake. Also, if I did not know the meaning of a word, he would go over it with me to include all related words that would help to remember.
There is never a dull moment in class either. He is very funny and he is very relaxed. With that, be prepared for him to push you very hard.
With all that said, you will not go wrong with having Philippe as your instructor. I guarantee he is the best in the business!
Thanks for the time and effort you took to teach me. I am forever grateful. We will keep in touch!
Philippe is attentive, encouraging, systematic, and attuned to your specific needs. Class was always productive, but also always enjoyable. I appreciated that he understands my specific language goals, and was serious about getting me there. There were days when we focused on a specific grammatical construct, and others when we just chatted to help me build speaking confidence. I also appreciate that he sends occasional emails with additional resources, websites, or articles in French about topics I am interested in, to encourage me to stretch my language skills beyond the classroom. I am sorry our classes are over for now, but will definitely call on him when I'm ready to hit the next level. Merci pour tout, professeur!
