My preferred method of DJing is through Ableton Live, because I believe it offers an unparalleled potential for creativity. I will teach the basics of how to use Ableton (if necessary), how to prepare a library of tracks for your DJ sets, how to mix and match effortlessly between songs, how to create live mashups on the spot, and the essentials of mixing. I spin mostly electronic and hip hop music in my DJ sets, but any and all genres are welcome!

About Steven
I consider myself dedicated to two passions in life: the art of musical creation, and the joy of kindling that spark in others. I've been teaching private music lessons for the past five years, and have worked with students of many different ages and proficiency levels. I am always on the lookout to work with new people who are just as excited about creating music as I am! My musical career began fifteen years ago as a classically-trained pianist, and soon after began to expand to more contemporary styles such as rock, pop, jazz, and electronic. I spent four years at the University of Miami studying under Academy Award nominee Chris Boardman, and graduated with a degree in Music Composition & Production and a double minor in Music Business and Creative American Music. I currently reside in Los Angeles, where I write and produce music for
films, TV shows, and video games. I look forward to meeting you and starting our musical journey together!

Hi! My name is Dylan T., aka Dyluxe, and I'm available for in-home, in-studio, and even online music lessons worldwide! I offer tutoring and mentoring on electronic music production with Ableton Live software, Ableton Push Hardware, and other software plug-ins, as well as DJing on the professional standard Rekordbox software with the Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus DJ system. All lessons are taught on a one-on-one basis and will be customized to your specific needs. Whatever your knowledge level or ability, I can teach you anything from the basics of electronic music to advanced production, engineering, and mixing techniques. My innovative hybrid curriculum will teach you to both create and perform your own original music. I have a complete in studio set up with all of the premiere tools you will need to achieve your goals. My goal is to help you

I am an Ableton Certified Music Producer and Graduate of Dubspot Electronic Music School with a degree in DJing and Music Production. I also have a Bachelors Degree from San Diego State University. Aside from my DJ career, I have a ton of experience teaching and working with children. I have always enjoyed teaching people and helping them to reach their goals. I started out at a young age as a babysitter for family friends. In high school, I took a job managing a local skatepark and giving skateboarding lessons. Once I moved to San Diego to attend SDSU, I took a side job as an activity leader for Harmonium, an after school program for elementary school students. During the summers, I also managed and taught skateboarding at the local YMCA Skateboarding Summer Camp.

Anyways, after I started to excel in my music career, friends and acquaintances started reaching out to me for advice and information. Ever since then I have been tutoring, mentoring, and helping my peers learn how to DJ, produce music, book shows, boost their marketing & much much more. I look forward to working with you and helping you to achieve your goals!

My target students are EDM or hip-hop enthusiasts and music lovers who want to start performing as DJs for an audience at events. However, their experience is primarily with consuming music... rather than editing/organizing the music, in real-time as a performance or skill (aka DJing). They may know what songs might mix well together, but lack the technical skills. They need guidance on how to begin to cultivate that skill - and that's where I come in.

Unlike other teachers, I'm not hoping to tightly hold onto students and their money for "as long as I can keep them coming back." I offer my course that lasts for about 4 weeks, and then, as a student - you're good to go! To either make your next move (playing gigs) or seek further education (with me, or elsewhere).

What will students be able to do after working with me for one month?

-Seamlessly blend, transition, and mix any music with a 4-on-the-floor beat.

-Get a consistently high-quality mix by applying smart mixing ...

About Roswell
Hey there,
I'm Roswell, I go by "Ell."
I'm a self-taught DJ, spinning mostly trap music, broken beat, and other experimental music types. I'm definitely in love with the sound engineering and creative part of DJing, and part where you get a crowd or audience to have fun and dance is a real plus.

I rose to fame as a DJ in college, I was an officer in an electronic dance music student org. We had a lot of music lovers and DJs and producers and we all shared music and learned from each other. I really got immersed in rave culture and started dabbing with DJ software. I eventually played my first party as the opening act in a lineup of club DJs, and despite how nervous I was - lots of my friends told me I did alright! Since then I've played various parties, events, and kickbacks. I also record my mixes and post them online and share with f
amily and friends.

You can find some of my mixes on my mixcloud. I can't share the link here due to Take Lessons policy but feel free to ask me for a link.

I am a holistic, deeply trained, underground, and really versatile musician. I will leave you with fundamentally well directed teachings and ideas that you can use to further your own ideas or I can explain and grow by my own understanding. I dont take shortcuts but I can see the beauty and pragmatism that makes music enjoyable to a wide audience. I can mix from the most obscure to the shallowest hip hop and teach you how. All styles of music have their nuance but all musical expression is inherently connected and I can show you piece by piece how to put it all together in a natural way.

About Martin
8 years DJ/producer, started with House/techno, then minimal, always messing around with other genres. I have good knowledge of Reason, Ableton and Reaper as well. I'm also adept at improvising and I'm currently working towards completing a live setup.

I'm also well practiced in teaching and tutoring with a patient and understanding demeanor. I pride myself in figuring out creatively appropriate ways of introducing ideas in ways that work for each individual. At the end of the day, music is very natural, and my goal is to make it feel as if I have guided you towards intuitive ideas in relation to music and not just giving you textbook guidelines on what to do. I can explain to you the basic functional ideas that you can use to make music work (phrasing, key mixing, etc), but if you want, I can explain further as well. Just make your goa
l clear to me and I will tailor my lesson specifically to your needs and interest.

I'm a jack of all trades! I started DJing in college for fun. That was back in 2011.

Flash forward to today and weddings, private events, and my own DJ gigs are the main way I make most of my income. I have 4 weddings booked already in October alone, some booked for 2019, and have done over 20 weddings in the last year.

If you're not interested in weddings, no fear. Those are great fun and a way to earn some money. But what's even more fun is playing your own shows. I've been lucky enough to have just signed with a booking agency for my artist name, Pure Colors, so I think I can teach you a thing or two about how to slay the dancefloor!

Here's what I know:

- How to DJ in Serato (currently using)
- How to DJ in Traktor
- Ableton DJing (less proficient)

Why I actually know what I'm doing:

- I do this all the time. It's taken years of practice to become a great DJ. I used to think it was easy, but I've come to learn that with anything, anyone can be an okay DJ. But ...

About Joey
Lots of info below!! I'm a jack of all trades! And wanted to be as descriptive as possible for your benefit.

In gist, here's are the skills I can teach you exceptionally well:

- Music Production
- Drumset / drumming
- DJing

Before we get into my lesson structure, a little about me and why I know I can help. Why should you listen to me if I don't know my background? :)

I am a full-time music producer, musician, and DJ. I started playing percussion in 6th grade, which was 14 years ago. Since then, I've literally immersed myself in music about as much as you can!

I've competed in honor and all-state band for 7 years in a row throughout middle and high school, was 1 of 6 awarded into the Governor's Honors program for percussion in 2010, and was the only recipient of a jazz drum set scholarship at Georgia College in 2011. Our
high school percussion ensemble was one of the top competing schools in the state and so was our indoor drumline during 2007-2011.

As far as music production goes, it's now my main focus. I started learning the ins and outs of music production in high school in 2010. Since then, I've taken courses in music technology throughout college, made music as a hobby, then took the full leap in January of 2016. I'm on the journey now and since that time I've had some pretty amazing things happen. I produce music almost every day, so everything you learn from me is what's current and what works!

Music has always been my life. I was INCREDIBLY lucky to have been fostered and taught by some of the most passionate and selfless music teachers in the state. Now that I am old enough to realize it, they literally shaped my life and helped me become the person I am today. What if I can give back in the same way and help students learn to discover what they truly love?

I DJ as well. It's been amazing to DJ for over 20 weddings in the last year alone. I don't only do weddings, I also DJ around the city in clubs and venues every month. Started with the decks in 2011.

Flash forward to today and I'm hustling harder than ever. After graduating from The University of Georgia in 2015 with a degree in Management and Music Business, and a minor in Music Technology, I am a full-time, touring music producer and DJ. I reside in Virginia Highlands (very safe, family-friendly area) in Atlanta and have my own house, studio, and drum set, in which I can tutor you. In person - or online!

My expertise:

* Drumming / Drum Set
* Music Production (Ableton)
* DJing (Serato)

-----------------------------------------

DRUMS

Because of my extensive background in percussion, I can teach the fundamentals of drumming, whether on a pad or on drum set.

Drumming styles I can teach:
Jazz, Latin
, Funk
, Rock
, Swing

, Metal, Classical

Drumming techniques I can teach:
Syncopation
, Chop-Building Exercises, Coordination
, Double-Bass Drum technique, Rudiments, prep for Honor Band or All- State, scales on the piano

Can even teach you the drum part to just about any song! Yes really, if that's what you want!

Years of teaching experience:
 2

Years of playing experience: +14

---------------------------------------------

MUSIC PRODUCTION

Minored in Music Technology at The University of Georgia.

What I know and can teach:
- Producing tracks start to finish
- Navigating and understanding Ableton
- Using legal samples in your music to help you
- Songwriting
- Mixing your tracks
- Workflow techniques
- Song structure
- Advice from one seasoned music producer to another!

I've been through a lot of work and stressful times to figure out what works and what doesn't. Let my experience be of benefit to you, so that I can shorten your learning curve :)

I've written an article on music production workflow that was published by Heroic Academy. A record label named Gravitas Create interviewed me recently, regarding how to finish music. I can send those to you if you want.

Years of teaching experience: 1

Years of career experience: 3

DJING

DJing and producing music go hand in hand these days. I started DJing in college for fun and for cash as a broke college student. That was back in 2011.

Flash forward to today and weddings, private events, and my own DJ gigs are the main way I make most of my income. I have 4 weddings booked already in October alone, some booked for 2019, and have done over 20 weddings in the last year.

I run my own Wedding DJ business with dozens of 5 star reviews ("OnCue Events" on weddingwire). And the DJ that I sub-contract under is one of Atlanta's top DJ's. Luckily, he was my mentor!

Check my weddingwire profile here if you would like:
bit.ly/oncueevents

If you're not interested in weddings, no fear. Those are great fun and a way to earn some money. But what's even more fun is playing your own shows. I've been lucky enough to have just signed with a booking agency for my artist name, Pure Colors, so I think I can teach you a thing or two about how to slay the dancefloor!

Here's what I know:

- How to DJ in Serato (currently using)
- How to DJ in Traktor
- Ableton DJing (less proficient)

Why I actually know what I'm doing:

I do this all the time. It's taken years of practice to become a great DJ. I used to think it was easy, but I've come to learn that with most skills in life, anyone can be okay and call themselves a DJ. But if you want to really get a grasp for how to professionally DJ, make smooth transitions, beat match amazingly (without using the sync-button...), read a crowd, learn new techniques and prep your tracks, and other things I haven't mentioned, well...

I can help!

Where I've played:

- Aisle 5 (Atl)
- Terminal West (Atl)
- 3 music festivals in 2018, (Athens Ga, Tennesee, Sparta Ga)
- 2 self-promoted events at Speakeasy Atl

A lot of people come out to these shows. Anyway, I hope that helps put some trust in me, that's the point of all this info.

Genres I DJ, and therefore what I can teach:

- House music (deep house, disco house, jackin house, funky house, downtempo house, G house)
- Disco
- Funk
- Pop and Top 40
- Oldschool
- Rap / Hip-hop

Have any questions?

We'll go over all the basics if you're new to it, or I can teach more advanced lessons to those looking to get out of the bedroom and into the club. Let's talk! :)

Joey truly understands music on a level that is so impressive. He taught me so much about drumming and how it works. Not only is he a great drummer, but he is a great person with a fantastic work ethic and teaching methods. He’s truly the best in the biz! Thanks Joey! I now know how to drum and I love it.

Always wanted to get into music production for the longest time, so I downloaded Ableton and decided to give it a go....and it looked like hieroglyphics to me. I tried to watch some youtube videos on the matter and it still made no sense. So I did some research and figured that an in-person teacher would probably be my best bet.

That's when I found Joey - and this guy knows his stuff. He's been producing for a few years now and after listening to his music, I could tell he was the real deal. I just started my lessons not long ago, but so far he's helped me in Ableton tremendously. I'm able to understand the various plug-ins, create new sounds when I get that creative "spark" instead of just bumbling around, and now I can actually finish a song.

I fully recommend Joey, he's super patient and has made this process just so much easier for me.
