Hi!
I’ve been playing guitar for 10 years, starting from a shredhead, evolving to a jazzboy, and ending up as a who knows what. I got my BS in Contemporary Music Studies at SUNY New Paltz studying with Mark Dziuba, one of the baddest dudes around.
I’ve played in bands ranging from funk, straight-ahead and gypsy jazz to indie and surf rock. When it comes to music my mind is totally open; If you’re interested in it, I am interested.

I teach you to be a musician, not just an instrumentalist. There is a huge difference. I give you material to learn while doing my best to make it fun as well. I teach you the basics and build on that foundation. You can learn the material as fast or as slow as you want. Stewart is a very patient and motivating teacher, and he does a good job commanding attention for our easily-distracted little dude. The lessons are well-tailored for his age and level of abilities (beginner). This has helped to make the learning fun and frustration-free. The skills are coming very naturally at a good pace, and I am surprised by how well he is beginning to read music, and to know the note lengths, intensities, fingerings, etc.
Stewart also occasionally sends us personal video lessons to help build upon Finn's skills where he needs help the most. This helps to keep him interested and practicing; it's been a very nice personalized approach that we have enjoyed.
So far these lessons have been online, but we look forward to the time when we can go to in-person lessons with Stewart. It has been a great experience so far, and we plan to stick with it.
He is very accommodating, every once in a while last minute things come up because as they always do, but Stewart is very flexible and accommodated to my needs.
Stewart is also very skilled. My son has had some unique request for songs he wants to learn, for example "Zelda needs a ladder Deadmou5e mix" and Stewart was able to figure out the music notes in no time and taught him that song all in one 30 minute class.
Stewart is great with my son and very patient he wants the kids to enjoy the learning process and not be a drag. The homework he assigns is easy to follow that even I started learning the guitar from the homework my son is given.
Can't say enough good things about Stewart.

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

I've been playing guitar for about 20 years, but haven't taken any formal lessons in the past 15 of those. I felt like I was in a rut with my playing so I started taking lessons with Ahmad a few months ago. He was able to immediately help me improve my technique and help me correct some inefficiencies that I didn't even notice I was doing. The word "inefficiencies" in the last sentence was chosen very deliberately because Ahmad has a great way of showing that there are multiple ways to play the instrument and not one specific "right" and "wrong" way.
I feel like I've made more progress in the last 4 months than I had in years."

Edwin is a very friendly musician and has a awsome ear and since I my self have a hard time staying on track he does help a great deal
God Bless him"

A friend of mine said she had taken lessons from a Don DeBold for about 5 years before going off to college and highly recommended him.
I've now been taking lessons from Don for almost 2 years and having a blast ! I've learned how to play along with most of my favorite songs (mainly Blues and Rock) and now I'm learning to play Solo Guitar that needs no accompaniment !
Unlike my first teacher, during many lessons Don barely plays or even has his Strat on his lap because he's busy concentrating on what I'm doing !
He's a stickler yet lots of fun at the same time> I super recommend him as a Guitar and Music Teacher !!! Aneiah J."
He's the man and I recommend him."
