I have been teaching Spanish since 1973, when I was 20 years old.
I did it for 10 years long (and still do) and I used so many methods that I finally came up with my own method to teach students of any age, any background and any motivation to learn a system that efficient, that will have you speak Spanish, and have a normal conversation from lesson one! I focus on verbs and practical conversation but no nonsense stories most books have. Books are only optional! And I am available also in between lessons and for as long as you need me in your lifetime with no retainer fees! The vocabulary is Latin American real life as you see it in the news! And best of all, I speak Spanish since I was 7 years old, when I used to live in Uruguay! I speak and teach 7 languages, soI know what is is to learn a foreign language and I know how to make it easier for you!

About Robert

My name is Robert M. I have a Spanish Teaching Degree from Curacao, a beautiful island that once was part of The Netherlands and I started teaching since 1973. About Roberto

I had the good fortune of having Roberto as my Traditional Harmony and Counterpoint teacher when going for my Music Degree in Mexico City. I can tell you his class was one of a kind and he turned a couple of the most complicated subjects of music into something very enjoyable. He's a strict teacher, but he values hard work dearly and he was always available for a student seeking help.
Manuel Vargas Mena
I had the pleasure and honor of being one of his students in Mexico City while I was in music college. He's a very disciplined teacher (never missed a class) and he has complete dominion over the subjects he teaches. Roberto's not only an amazing guitarist but he has a unique way of teaching music theory and history that makes you quite familiar with the different approaches to music over the different ages. He also shows a legitimate interest over his students, he challenges then and even owns when he's pointed out mistakes by them. During my time as his student I also realized that he was quite respected by the other professors. Fair warning: he can be a little sarcastic but he means no offense whatsoever to his students and fellow musicians.
Quique Escamilla
Roberto is a an excellent music teacher with invaluable knowledge and years of teaching experience. I have had the opportunity to study with him at 2 separate different periods in my music career/life—years ago, at a music college first, and more recently I've had the opportunity to reconnect with him and continue furthering my music knowledge with his great help over online classes. He has been very helpful, very patient, and I can highly recommend him as a great music teacher to anyone, at any level.

"Ana was incredibly helpful I would definitely recommend her. When working with Ana I was taking upper division college Spanish literature classes. She helped me go through my essays and correct my grammar, structure and overall delivery sentence by sentence so that I could more clearly articulate myself and also learn through the corrections. In addition, when I asked for review on certain grammar areas she came up with amazing and very helpful review sheets and practice problems that correlated to issues she saw in my writing. She was always very kind and flexible and helped me improve my Spanish in many ways."

"Sebastián es lo mejor!!! A very knowledgeable and fun teacher that will help increase your confidence in speaking a new language. He is very organized and has a wonderful way of getting to the “root” of the problem areas that may hinder you from speaking like you’ve always wanted. He is a great teacher and a talented musician that will do everything in his power to make sure your language needs are not only met, but exceeded. Gracias Sebastián!"

"I am an adult beginner in Spanish and needed to learn the language quickly for some upcoming travel. Javier has done a wonderful job at making me feel comfortable with my pronunciation and I feel that I am progressing at a good pace. His lessons are educational and fun and his homework assignments are very worthwhile. I can recommend him for beginners all the way to advanced Spanish as it is his native language and his teaching methods are perfect for absorbing and remembering the idiosyncrasies as well as the general rules for the Spanish language in terms of grammar, structure and pronunciation. You will not find a more personable, effective or informed Spanish teacher."
