About Sue

Learning the flute is a great way to explore your creativity. Flute is the one wind instrument with amazing versatility and expression. It is as comfortable in an orchestra as a jazz band. Do you or a child you know want to learn how to play flute, recorder, baroque flute, or even piccolo? I l

Sue is patient and extremely knowledgeable about music and flutes. She has an easy going personality and I feel very comfortable learning under her guidance.

I can't say enough great things about Sue! Under her guidance, it's been a pleasure getting back into playing my flute after a hiatus of over 25 years. Her knowledge of the instrument and expert instruction (as well as her infinite patience!) continue to provide me with the motivation I've needed to overcome some of the challenges I've faced after being away from my instrument for so long. Her teaching style is relaxed and flexible but firm; she knows just when I need to be challenged and just when to back away a bit. She's been a great fit for me, and I encourage other flute players of all levels to giver her a try!

Dr. Sue Sheya is truly an exceptional instructor. As a student who studied a little bit of music in Europe, it was difficult for me to adjust to the American solfege system (C, D, E scale) as I was used to the European solfege (Do, Re, Mi). However, Dr. Sheya was very flexible and adjusted all her lesson materials so that I could truly succeed in learning. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a supportive, friendly, and enthusiastic teacher that can truly guide them in learning how to play the flute!

Piano is probably the best instrument to start music on, and is a great supplement to any instrument. A knowledge of piano, and an ability to play and understand it, will make the entire process of music much easier. It's also a lot of fun to play!

I'm a life-long musician with a passion for the art and a love of teaching it. In 2012, I graduated from Sacramento State with a Bachelors in Music. Through my schooling and personal study, I have become a well-rounded musician able to teach many instruments effectively. Making music with others

Colin has been a fantastic teacher for my 12-year old son, who is learning his first instrument. Colin is kind, friendly, personable, and easy-going. He keeps the lessons fresh and fun. My son has made a very nice connection with Colin and really enjoys his lessons.
Jennifer
It's pretty terrifying to try a new instrument, especially one like the trumpet--which is so loud and obvious if you're wrong! Colin was supportive and warm and encouraging, and kept me at ease and willing to keep trying. He seems knowledgeable in alot of areas of music too, which is an added bonus. Highly recommend!

Trying to learn something from scratch can be hard, especially when it comes a musical instrument (Where do my hands go? What do these notes mean? etc..) Trust me I've been there. And that's why I'll do my best to make your or your child's introduction to the world of guitar as smooth as possible.

I specialize in classical guitar, for beginner students. I begin with basic finger-plucking patterns and finger exercises, followed by music notation and exercises from a book.

About Alexander

I have been doing one-on-one private tutoring sessions with beginner students from home for a couple years now, and am proud to admit that I have seen many beginners become proficient in the guitar, and come to enjoy playing the instrument under my guidance. I am very patient with my students and a

My son is extremely pleased with his drum lessons he is receiving from Instructor Jimmy Howell Jr..

Jimmie arrived on-time and ready to start. He dove right into getting to know my son and started teaching him on bells and learning rhythm since that`s what my son will be expected to know for his first year of band in the fall.
He was very good at connecting with my son and easily had him enjoying the lesson.
You can tell Jimmie has a passion for teaching children and his face lit up talking about it. He heaped praise on my sons accomplishments and my son said he truly enjoyed the lesson and can`t wait for next week.
I`d highly recommend him to teach your child. I don`t think you`d find someone else with the same passion for children. So glad I made the decision to hire Jimmie and look forward to many years of him being involved in developing my son into a awesome musician.
Thank you Jimmie!

"She Knows What She's Doing. A Very Good Instructor.

Fawn really knows what she's doing. With a hit song under her belt, songs in films, tv shows and all the appearances/live shows she does, you'd think she would be pretentious snob. She is completely down to earth and eager to share her experiences and career with every one she teaches. One of the things that impressed me about her is the fact that she IS so busy, yet finds time for text messages/phone calls when I've had questions about voice, piano, music contracts, songwriting etc. She has helped undo damage to my vocal chords from a previous teacher and improved my range, taught me proper breathing and vocal technique, and given me a huge boost of confidence. Because of her being a stickler for details, her corrections have made my vocal chords stronger than ever! I no longer get hoarse from singing. She has even showcased me at some of the red carpet events she's at, to help get my face and career out there. She is the real deal. She doesn't waste time and is very result oriented and I appreciate that and so many other things about her. I've had teachers stretch lessons out, making more money, but this instructor clearly teaches because she wants to help people and for the love of it, not for the money aspect. Learning from her and being in her presence is a blessing, she's a gift to all of us who study with her. If you don't need warm and fuzzies, that's cool. Just know the bottom line: She gets you where you've gotta be. Respect!"

"Perhaps the best teacher I’ve ever had—in any discipline, at any age. When I first began two years ago, I couldn’t read a note of music and had never played any instrument. Since then, thanks to Moran’s patience and guidance, I can play with confidence at a level I never imagined. Wonderful, kind, yet demanding teacher who enjoys teaching and takes great pride in the progress of her students"

"If you’re looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable and patient strings teacher, you will love Mrs. Heins. Both of my sons have been taking lessons from Mrs. Heins for several years (one for viola and one for cello). They have learned so much under her instruction, such as earning All-County and All-State honors. They also practice their live performance skills twice a year during informal musical concerts. Mrs. Heins also offers participation in the Royal Conservatory Music Development program, which can earn your child credit for college. She is a gem and should you choose her, you won’t be disappointed."
