Nicholas has been teaching my daughter vocal lessons for about 11 months and he’s fantastic!

She’s improved so much in 10 months! He’s awesome and delivers results! My daughter enjoys her lessons with him and she’s just 9 years old and has developed so much due to his mentor ship. My daughter also has an aptitude for singing and tends to catch on to his instructions quickly.

Every student is important and as much as I love teaching, I also love having fun. I love sharing my knowledge of music along with smiles and encouraging words. My main focus in music is to glorify God first which will include hymn improvising, technique training, classical, theory and more.

About Ashley

While growing up in a family of musicians, I began teaching a lady in her 40's when I was just twelve years old and have been teaching all ages ever since! Even though I began playing piano at the age of 5, I grew to love music more by the age of 10. I have had much experience in piano performance.

My son has loved taking lessons with Linda. She is setting just the right pace with him. She is flexible given his strengths and weaknesses. He was genuinely disappointed when I told him he couldn't go to lessons this week because of a family commitment. Can't recommend highly enough!

Linda was great! As an adult beginner with the cello she made the lesson enjoyable and easy to follow. She adjusted quickly for where I knew a little and where I knew nothing. Highly recommend her!

Doctor Joshua has been instructing my 2 grandsons in piano at their home for many years. They are both excellent pianists, especially the 14 year old. Doctor Joshua lets them choose modern songs relevant to them and has written music for them to play. He also has recitals for his students and has had them play at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet pre-show. Their confidence has soared. I have been at my son’s home many times when my grandsons are taking their lessons and am very impressed at how Doctor Joshua is with both of them, he is very encouraging.

I have been playing piano for 18 years. I was trained by Robert Waddell, Deanna Bogart and Marcia Slentz-Whalen in the Annapolis area for 16 years before receiving my music performance degree from James Madison University in 2015, where I was an accompanist for the school of theatre and dance. I am currently a professional dueling piano player. I can teach anything from classical to contemporary music. I am also an ideal teacher if you wish to learn to accompany yourself while singing.

About Carol Anne

Hello! My name is Carol Anne Drescher and I am a professional musician with a passion for teaching. I received my B.M. in performance from James Madison University in 2015. I have played piano for 18 years, been a singer for 10, and am also a proficient bassist, kit drummer, and flautist. I current

I have been taking lessons with Carol Anne for over seven months and have learned more about theory and voice in that time than over the last ten years learning on my own. I never possessed the confidence to sing in public until taking lessons with Carol Anne. She quickly helped me understand my voice and potential. I was always a guitar player who was reluctant to utilize my voice. A relative was insistent that she wanted me to sing at her husband’s wake. Realizing this relative was not going to take no for an answer I went searching for Voice coach. Within three weeks Carol Anne implanted the skill and confidence to allow me pull off this event/challenge.
Even though my initial reason for taking Voice was successful, I continued lessons with Carol Anne due to the enjoyment of opening up a whole new musical avenue. She helped me find what I needed to work on. Carol Anne provided challenges that allowed me to better understand my capabilities and taught me the skills necessary to gain a higher understanding of music. Thru Carol Anne’s talents she helped me strengthen my voice, expand my range, and help me add a personal touch to songs.
On top of being an highly skilled, knowledgeable and passionate teacher, she is just an easy person to be around. I felt that I could experiment very freely with my voice in front of her, which is something I didn’t feel comfortable doing around many people. Now, I love singing in front of others.
I would have zero reservations recommending her to anyone looking for a music coach in any capacity.

"Excellent lesson., Ryan is very professional, explaining the purpose of each assignment, having a notebook for the instructions, and focusing on the student's desires during the lesson. I am very excited by his enthusiasm and look forward to my lessons. I couldn't wait to practice after he left, even succeeding at part of the assignment that I had doubts I could complete."

"Once in a while….

You meet someone with extreme talent. Maybe its natural, maybe its through thousands of hours of practice and dedication. With Josh, its both. This man knows what he is talking about, from the basics of how to properly place your hands on the piano, to the advanced music theory that makes everything work, he knows his stuff. My only regret is being a broke 20 something because the 8 weeks we worked together I went from novice, with almost no musical history, to someone who has the tools and confidence to continue my musical education on my own.

Id like to thank Josh for his time and patience, it really helped out, so much so that my family took notice of my interest and bought me two books full of sheet music for Christmas!

If you don't feel like reading all that above jazz then just read this:

Piano Hand Coordination Exercises for Beginners

As a pianist, there are many skills to develop through your practice regimen. Reading the grand staff means you need to be proficient in understanding both bass and treble clef, simultaneously! You need to develop independence between your left and right hands while playing and you also need to have an understanding of music theory, voice leading and harmony. One challenge that is both fun and practical to learn is coordination of your hands while playing. Here are some great exercises that can …
