Classical piano is a subject I have taught for over twenty (20) years. As a classically-trained pianist, it has been my main area of focus throughout my teaching and performing careers. If you wish to focus on classical piano, we will cover in-depth music theory during our classes, which is a required component for success in classical piano.
Online-only piano classes are only available to students who have prior experience. I do not recommend complete beginners to start fully online, as there are beginners' nuances that are much better addressed in-person!

We will work together to develop your understanding of music, regardless of musical background, covering the inner workings of music theory as it applies to any genre, as well as ear training, arrangement, composition, and songwriting.
Lessons will be at your pace, tailored to your interests, and, perhaps most importantly, will foster a love and understanding of music.

In teaching lessons, it is my great pleasure to share with students of all ages and skill levels the knowledge that I've gained over 27 years of playing. I firmly believe that anyone can learn anything at any time, given the proper tools!
In our first lesson, we will determine your musical goals and create a realistic path to achieving them. It's my job to help you along this path while keeping things fun.
To maintain focus and week-to-week continuity, I always provide lesson notes to take home. I can also provide recordings of lessons and transcriptions of pieces, if desired.

At 5 years old I was struck by the incredible beauty of Vivaldi's music, and ever since I've been playing violin. I've been teaching Statistics for 6 years. I strive to show students the beauty behind mathematics and encourage them to enjoy it. I work with students at their own pace with the main focus being on developing the confidence to be able to understand what questions are asking and how to solve problems. I prefer to spend the first two lessons testing a student's confidence, strengths, and weaknesses before I select the teaching materials. I cannot wait to help you reach your math goals!
Note: Summer time is generally more flexible for me. However, please contact me before signing up for a time because my schedule is less concrete. I am a Ph.D. student in Statistics and earned a Bachelor's in mathematics from St. Norbert College in 2016. I have been tutoring for over 10 years

I always record my students so that they know how they sound to others. I also make a CD of them singing to background music if they wish, included in the cost of the lessons for no extra charge.

Sean really knows percussion. I've witnessed this both during lessons and when my family watched him perform with the Lone Tree Symphony. Sean is wonderful with kids. Although my son has attention issues, Sean is extremely patient, and he is able to efficiently redirect and focus my son. With Sean, music lessons are enjoyable. He has taken the time to get to know my son and how my son learns. I feel like the lessons are tailored extremely well for my child's abilities. Best of all, Sean is just a wonderful person. He's easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor. My son looks forward to his lessons with Sean each week. You won't find a better percussion instructor!"

Does your guitar make a shrieking noise when you sing and play? Do you want to harness its power for good? Here, guitar instructor Zachary A. explains the phenomena of guitar feedback and how it can be manipulated to enhance your music...
