About Sarah
I am looking for new students that want to learn music or sing.

I come from the greater Modesto, CA area. I am a veteran music teacher with over 19 years of teaching vocal and instrumental music. I have taught both in the private and public sectors.

I hold a current music teaching certificate with a BA in Music Education, MA in Elementary Education, and an MA in Reading/Music Focus.

I believe that anyone can learn to sing or play a musical instrument. I am passionate about teaching music and the joy that comes from learning music.

I am experienced in the areas of vocal and instrumental performance through concerts, recitals, musicals, community service, festivals and competitions. Some of my planned musical performances are a Christmas concert, playing and singing in our local mall at Christmas time, and a planned spring re
cital.

I am a classical and traditional music teacher with many new contemporary styles of teaching music.

My atmosphere of teaching is fun and nurturing!

*** Lesson Details ***
For online lessons, I am currently only teaching Guitar, Voice, Ukulele, Trumpet, and Clarinet.

Lessons are weekly or bi-weekly with a structure lesson, musical games to teach reinforcement and new concepts. I structure my music lessons according to the learning style of each of my students. Patience and understanding my students helps them in their success!
So, there is a lot of praise and encouragement in each lesson. Once a month there is music history that is taught with the lesson and music theory is included in each music lesson.

With each lesson book, there are weekly practice sheets to document daily and weekly practice. Practice is one of the most important keys to learning music. Each student is encouraged to learn one song or musical concept at their own pace.

Every week, I assess each student as they play for me their musical work. I don't expect perfection, but strive for excellence!

*** Studio Equipment ***
Great room w/ baby grand piano and seating for parents

*** Travel Equipment ***
I can provide assorted music books for piano, guitar, and band.
I have a great number of recorders with books.
Two music stands, one snare drum with sticks, CD player
I prefer, if I should travel, for my piano students to have their own piano/electric piano or guitar for guitar lessons.
Band: to have their own instrument to learn on and practice at home
Orchestral instruments: the same.

*** Specialties ***
Classical, Christian and contemporary choir, band, and orchestra. Specialize in vocal coaching/voice lessons. Specialize in musical productions in both Christian and contemporary styles.

Experienced piano teacher of 12 years accepting students ages 8 to adult, beginner to intermediate! I structure my lessons to build a strong foundation of understanding theory and technique. Although my preference is for classical, I encourage individuality and use Alfred’s Basic Piano Books for its broad application in various styles of music. Once the students complete the curriculum, they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to play most any music or proceed to advanced instruction.

About Laura
Hi, there! My name is Laura and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2002 and have loved helping my students learn both technique and theory as I seek to motivate them to play the best that they can and to instill a love for music. Although I do not hold a degree in music, I was trained to teach by a former music instructor from the University of the Pacific. I have been playing the piano for 37 years and I am looking forward to passing my knowledge onto you and helping you reach your goals!

I've been playing piano for over 25 years and teaching piano for over 10. I use a wide variety of piano methods to fit the individual needs of all my students. Students will learn how to properly care for their instrument, how to read music, music theory, instrument technique, practice techniques, ear training (how to play by ear), and repertoire. I even have my own experimental piano courses that I have developed myself. Group piano lessons are also available at a lower cost on Saturdays only.

About Kyle
Hello potential students! I have a B.A. in instrumental music education and composition. I have taught private lessons for over 12 years. Teaching private music lessons is my primary job, so I have much experience and wisdom compared to teachers who teach "on the side." Students of all ages stay with me a long time because I am very flexible in my teaching and know how to interact with many personalities and learning styles, producing great results and progress. My specialties are piano, woodwinds, and music technology (i.e. recording and production). You can find more information about me and what I do at caseymusicservice﮳com.

Kyle has given me contra bass, aka upright bass, weekly lessons from August 2015 through May 2016. I have never played a string instrument prior to this, although I do play piano and have played the flute, bagpipes, and piccolo over the years. I did not need education in reading music.

Kyle was able to take me from sounding like a lower octave version of Jack Benny (a mid-20th century comedian famous for his howlingly horrid violin playing) to a level where I know how to hold the instrument and the bow, the fingerings, bowing technique, and how to get a very respectable sound from the instrument.

He also installed the strings when I received the new instrument, found a manufacturing flaw in the bridge height that the manufacturer subsequently paid to repair, and diagnosed a resonance issue with the instrument that was corrected with a balance weight on the string below the bridge.

My experience teaching piano spans nine years and I have helped my students develop their performance and interpretation skills to succeed in both examinations and their academic pursuits.
In addition, my students have learned to play their favorite songs, sing and play or improvise for special occasions or recreation. In our first lesson, we'll discuss your private goals and develop a plan for their realization. Within the first few weeks, we'll work on specific skills and techniques in order to achieve your goal. From the beginning, you will have a chance to practice your skills and work on music that inspires you on a grand piano. If desired, you'll have an opportunity to play your music at an annual recital or other performance opportunities.

My selection of materials depends on your skill level and personal goals. For beginners, I will often use Faber Piano Adventures, Alfred Piano, and the RCM Piano series. The RCM Piano series also caters to intermediate and advanced ...

I know Ania's teaching from the time we worked together at music schools in Seattle, and I've gotten to see the passion and high level of musicianship that she brings to her lessons. Ania pushes her students towards clear and attainable goals with steady encouragement, and I saw the results in the rapid progress of her students, who loved playing their instrument and were visibly excited by the gains they were making. I have been taking the piano lessons with Ania for a couple of lessons. She helped me realize my life-long dream of playing classical piano music. She is a very talented and astounding instructor with a super solid theoretical background. During the lesson with her, the music goes way beyond just playing the right note with correct tempo. She shows me those exquisite parts hidden behind the sheet music. The piano music starts to become dynamic, alive and captivating. I highly recommend her to anyone.

If you're looking for fun and informative, helpful jazz piano, or contemporary piano lessons of any kind, I know you'll enjoy lessons with me! First and foremost, I enjoy teaching piano lessons so much because of my passion and love for the instrument. Also, because of my young age, I can relate to young people extremely well but feel very comfortable teaching people of all ages.

About Lucas
I am a professional jazz/contemporary pianist from Illinois. I graduated Eastern Illinois University with a degree in jazz piano performance.

I have about five years of experience teaching private music lessons, and although I'm just starting out, students can expect a fun, energetic, and helpful lesson experience, with significant improvement and a newfound excitement about their instrument every week. I care deeply about my music and any students that come to me looking for improvement.

Currently I'm working for Celebrity Cruises, so my availability for online lessons is limited. However, when I sign off the ship on November 25th of 2017, I look forward to a much more open schedule for teaching, both online and in person. In the past, I've had experience teaching both drum set and piano lessons privately. I also have extensive experi
ence working in theaters and gigging with other jazz players all throughout Illinois.

I am passionate about all styles of music but I am particularly excited to teach jazz and contemporary music. I find it extremely easy and enjoyable to relate to people of all ages and I believe it is extremely important and beneficial to teach each individual differently according to his or her particular personality and learning style.

I have been teaching piano for over 30 years. For beginning student's, I use the "Alfred's Basic Piano Series". This will teach them playing the piano immediately. I will be teaching music theory, notation, technique, and different chords progressions. This will be introduce as my student's progress in their studies. For Intermediate and advance student's they usually want to focus on a certain type of music. For example, they might want to learn jazz techniques, classical, country, or latin jazz techniques. I will always tailor and cater to my student's ability to progress, not forgetting to use a little bit of humor so that they will have a rewarding career in music.

About Art
To my future student's, I look forward of meeting you and start teaching you how to use 10 fingers to play 88 keys on the piano. My teaching experience dates back to my college day's, as i begun teaching private lessons part time many years ago, and have been consistently teaching students the last 10 years in their homes. I have performed with many groups throughout my musical career and have had a rewarding career playing the piano. I was station overseas in Stuttgart, West Germany and had the honor of assisting 15 teachers to start a music program which was very successful. I retired with 22 years of service with the 159th National Guard Army Band with a honorable discharge. One of my favorite performances was when we play at the Palladium Hollywood in Los Angeles. My teaching style is very simple. Be creative and always involved humo
r. The student will know instantly if the instructor is eager to teach as the student is also eager to learn. For example, i would use a lot of metaphors and analogies to explain a musical concept. I would always tailor lessons to their level of skill. Nothing is more rewarding than to see one of my students at a recital and i hear their parents tell their friends,"that's my son, he learned from the best". I personally believe "teaching music" can not be taught in a classroom. One must have a love of teaching and a love of teaching that particular instrument to my students. For my beginning students, i use the the "Alfred's basic music series". For my intermediate to advance students, i start at their level of piano playing. Focusing on the type of music they want to learn.
