Successfully teaching current students with clear, concise lessons.

All of my current students have developed confidence and enthusiasm to learn all materials presented in an easy to comprehend format.

Each student learns at different levels so all lessons are customized to challenge them but also insure they learn and retain all materials presented to them.

Currently have 16 students ranging from beginners to advanced level.
When selecting a teacher, make arrangements to meet in person to review short and long term goals of learning a musical instrument. Pricing should only be used as the last criteria before making a final decision. It's important to insure your instructor is patient and willing to challenge students to setup a practice routine that will fit their current schedule.

If a student needs an instrument, have instructor give recommendations based on the musical styles they are interested in learning.

Students often ask how long it will take to learn to play a Guitar.

About Alejandro

What is your typical process for working with a new student? Initially will setup lesson plans for first 3 cycles of instruction. Lessons are based on the time frame selected (1/2 hr, hr) and are mandatory once a week. We can also discuss additional lessons if desired up to 3 lessons within a w

Alejandro is a great instructor, really knowledgeable and motivational. I started lessons with him as a beginner and I have made a lot of progress.

Alejandro is a marvelous teacher of music, the guitar specifically, to my 3 grandchildren every Saturday and now for getting onto a year. They love it and are learning ever so much! He is a most talented musician, himself, and has a way of transferring all of that to the 2 boys and my granddaughter. He is reliable and punctual and a treasure to have the opportunity to have him teach the children. I studied the piano for 15 years when I was young, so know a lot of what I speak

Like any good teacher should be, Alex is patient and very instructive. He can cover a variety of musical styles and ability levels. I would recommend him to anyone.

Love music, and especially the guitar? Me too!
For beginners, I'll work with you to teach the absolutely crucial elements of basic music theory as it's applied to guitar, ingraining the necessary essentials such as strumming and picking technique, a wide variety of scales, chords, triads, songs, and more. You will gain a knowledgeable and comfortable skill in guitar playing and I will work with you to meet your needs and learning pace!

I have 15 years playing experience (acoustic or electric), a B.A. in Musicology from UCLA, and spent the last year playing live on the Nashville Broadway stages. I love the guitar and now I want to share that passion with you!

About Adam

Music is undeniably my biggest passion in life. The last ~15 years has found me not only listening to music from Mozart to The Beatles, but indulging myself in discovering the exciting inner threads of its endless wonders. As the years went by I gravitated quickly to the guitar, learning its form a

WOW! Adam got me flying on my cherrywood acoustic in no time. He knows so much about different playing styles, and helped me get my sound to where I could make great cover YouTube videos! I owe it all to Adam! He’s got great stories too!
Julian
For years I’d try to pick up my acoustic (it was a gift from my uncle) and toy around with it, even trying lessons on YouTube, but couldn’t get anywhere. After my first 3 sessions with Adam, I immediately knew I’d have the tools to take off on my own if I wanted to. 6 months later I’m playing gigs at local bars! This guy knows his guitars! Super fun and chill personality too!

Great teacher! We were so happy to have found Alex.
Leander
Alex is a terrific instructor, who adjusts lessons based on what the student wants to accomplish. For example, my goals include learning the instruments (baritone uke in octave mandolin tuning and concert uke in mandolin tuning), fingerpicking, playing both melody lines and chords, being able to determine what chords to use without sheet music. So we work on music theory and ear training a lot, as well as learning tunes. Very good instructor who is both flexible and knowledgeable...highly recommend him to others.

5 Ways To Prepare For Bluegrass Guitar Lessons

Starting bluegrass guitar lessons is fun and exciting, and odds are you'll have a lot to learn! Guitar teacher Samuel B. shares a few things you'll want to do before you get started... Bluegrass is as much a piece of American musical culture as jazz, blues, country, gospel and early rock and roll. All of these styles (save for jazz) are based on the same three chords: C, F and G7th. Three of these styles (blues, country and gospel) are based on a slow rhythm that allows the guitarist room to …
