I had over 4 Korean lessons the past year and Chan really connected with me and helped me understand the best.

I got into Korean through knowing Kpop and all the previous teachers were very structured like school teaching but Chan taught me in quick and fun modern way.

Definitely a 10/10!

My name is Myung, and I am a native Korean speaker. I graduated from Ewha Women's University with a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Literature.

I obtained a master’s degree in TESOL and Linguistics at West Virginia University in 2020. I have teaching experience in English, Korean, and Chinese between ages 5 to 15, as well as adults including college students. I worked as the Vice Headmaster in the Korean Language School of State College, PA for five years.
While my degree is in linguistics, I am a Tamarack artist, and I am a juried member in the West Virginia Watercolor Society (WVWS).

From personal experience as a nonnative speaker, I understand why students have difficulties in learning English or Korean, and I know how to teach language in a fun and effective way, so that language-learning can be a pleasant experience for students. Also, as a parent, I know how important it is to teach with compassion, I try to be a patient, warm, and passionate motivator for students. I ...

She also has an understanding of what it means to lean a new language language and makes easy for students to follow along. It is also easy to joke and have fun in class while still learning :D I would truly recommend Myung as a teacher to anyone wanting to learn Korean!

I've put off getting back to learning Korean but I finally made the jump! My first class with Eunjeong was great. We went through some basic testing and she was able to quickly assess my general level. Even though I've taken Korean classes in the past (in person, in school etc) I was already learning some new things with her in my very first session.

Eunjeong has great energy and enthusiasm which definitely rubs off on you and makes you excited to learn new material. One of the most important things for me is that she made me feel comfortable with making mistakes! I'm very happy with my decision to learn Korean with Eunjeong and I look forward to my additional classes.

Sign up with Eunjeong if you want to learn Korean. She is the best!

She was very welcoming and inviting. The lesson went smoothly, she was able to figure out my level quickly and started on new material. She even provided Korean drinks and snacks for students to try out.

Quinton works primarily with beginner to intermediate students putting an emphasis on grammar in a fun and interactive way. After living in South Korea for two years Quint realized that grammar structure was one of the main sticking points that made learning Korean so difficult for English speakers. As a result he uses these practices to help students take their language study to an entirely new level.
Quinton has studied multiple languages ranging from Portuguese and Spanish to Mandarin, Korean and Vietnamese. As a native English speaker himself Quint has learned skills and techniques to explain Grammar in a simple yet relatable way for other English speakers. Quint’s philosophy is that the most effective way to learn a language is to have fun with it by talking about the things that spark your interest rather than dry lessons that can cause you to lose interest. Having had a handful of teachers for whom Korean was their first language, I found that that wasn't quite working for me. There's a great deal of value in learning Korean from someone for whom it also isn't their first language; they're able to understand what is and isn't hard for a non-native speaker, and they're able to explain the vagaries of the language that a native speaker might not have ever noticed or questioned about the language.
I think that this is especially critical for learning a language as complex and non-English as Korean is.
Aditya
Though I haven’t taken a great many lessons as of yet, those I have taken with Quinton have always been fun and engaging. He is very open to rescheduling lessons & provides additional information to help supplement and solidify the material. Effectively helps you progress while going at a comfortable pace and breaking things down step by step so you don’t get overwhelmed. Not only teaches the material well but offers cultural and personal insights.
