Preparatory calculus (business calculus, intro differential/integral calculus)

As a student, I took AP Calculus my senior year of high school. I was the top student in my class and scored a 5 on the AP exam. In college, I continued my math education, completing 2 additional years of Calculus and advanced mathematics courses.

I have nearly 10 years experience tutoring Calculus, for students in AB/BC high school courses and university courses. Whether you just want to get through your Calculus course with a good grade so you can leave math behind for good (if math is NOT your thing) or you want to excel in your course to create a solid foundation for a continued education in mathematics/engineering and/or sciences, I can work with you to achieve your goals!

I have been teaching math to students of all ages since 2005. I believe that many people struggle in math because they need things explained in a slightly different way, or because they are missing one key skill. Over the years I've learned how to address this efficiently in a way that has led to my students continued success!

I offer individual tutoring for all middle school, high school and college mathematics, physics and computer science classes and all standardized exams. I come with more than ten years of teaching and tutoring experience, pedagogical know-how, educational resources, and am always professional. A little about myself. I was enrolled in a top mathematical high school and won multiple mathematical olympiads starting at a young age. I graduated from university with honors and the highest departmental distinction. While at the university I served as a teaching assistant and tutored other students. Mathematics and teaching are still my big passions. I’ve taught math classes at a private school as well as tutored students of all ages and all levels. Math doesn't need to be hard, you can understand it and even have fun with it! Math is my favorite subject and one that I have been tutoring for several years. While I aim for comprehension over scores, grades typically improve with comprehension. In each tutoring session, you can choose to receive homework help, test preparation, or extra practice that I can supply.

Precalculus sounds intimidating, but it is actually algebra 3. I’ve tutored many high school students, college students, and university students in core concepts like functions, graphing functions, trigonometry, and an introduction to calculus. I also walk students through a complete algebra review if they need to refresh their knowledge or have difficult concepts re-explained. For those preparing for calculus, I show them its connection to precalculus and why it is so critical for them to really understand and remember these concepts. Another course I am familiar with is advanced math, which is precalculus with trigonometry.
