And I absolutely love it !! I can proudly say that I am proficient in the language. I can speak fluently , understand and write fluently in Furigana (Hiragana and Katakana) I've learned from courses, friends, programs, music, immersion, books etc, you name it I've done it and has had major success. I will teach in a fun and interactive way and we will build up from the fundamentals of words to complete sentences. You WILL be proficient and comfortable in Japanese in no time !

Hi, I first taught Japanese to my friends at college in 2002 and I’ve always enjoyed teaching and interacting with students even though I didn’t expect it to become my career then. I have taught adults including senior citizens, college, high school and middle school students, and young children. Teaching Japanese to American military personnel and spouses who were stationed in Japan was the most rewarding experiences I’ve had. They truly needed the language skills to live in Japan, and they really appreciated that they were able to learn survival Japanese that’s instantly useful out in town.

I grew up in Japan and came to US to go to college. When I was a college student, I taught Japanese and English to middle and high school students during summer back in Japan. I have a Master of Education in TESL. I teach all levels including those who are starting out and also want to improve their fluency and understand the culture and history too!

During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a president of SUNY Albany Japanese Student Association and also worked as a TA for Japanese 101 classes, and I absolutely love to teach languages!
