students can either choose from the russian or italian style of ballet and will learn basic positions and placements of the body, demi barre, adagio, petit allegro, waltz, grand jete, and reverence. students will also learn terminology and work on flexibility, strength, and muscle control.

I am professional ballet teacher. I have a master’s degree of Fine Arts from a famous Vaganova Ballet Academy in Russia. I have been teaching professionally for 17 years. My lessons are customized and catered to the goals of each student. All ages welcome. I will help you improve elegant posture, transform your body and gain the strength, grace, stretch, solid foundation of ballet theory and technique while tailoring to your personal tastes and needs.

I’m available to teach private lessons for teens and adults interested in learning ballet for the first time, or who want to improve their skills. My strengths are patience, enthusiasm, and an unusual way of approaching dance. I’m not famous or particularly interested in becoming famous, so if that’s your goal, I’m not the right teacher for you. I strongly believe everyone can dance, and should. All bodies can learn to dance and enjoy themselves. Dance should be joyful, about self-expression, and a way of learning about your body and your spirit. Finally, I believe it’s never too late to start learning something new, and your bucket list should not wait until you retire.

I am a professional ballet dancer, with over 20 years in training across the world. I trained at Canadas National Ballet School, then worked professionally as a ballerina at Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam and Alberta Ballet in Calgary.

I hold a Masters Degree from New York University in Dance Education with a concentration in American Ballet Theatre pedagogy. I work at American Ballet Theatre as a teaching artist and as an Exam Proctor.

My classes are catered to the level and the needs of my students, they include stretching, conditioning and of course ballet technique. You have the option to have a solo created on you, in which I choreograph a unique piece for the dancer and rehearse it during the lesson to help with artistry and performance. We also can work on ballet variations as I coach a lot of my students in preparation for competitions.

I was recently a professional ballerina but had to take a temporary hiatus due to a knee injury. So I am extremely passionate about educating dancers in working their bodies safely and effectively.
I not only work on teaching basic technique, but I also teach artistry, injury prevention and experiences in the professional world.
I have worked with students from intermediate/beginner to advanced, professionals as well as adults.
I have a natural passion for teaching dance and will personalize a class as I get to know you!
