Performing live music is tremendously difficult. There are secrets :)

*** Lesson Details *** Every student is different so I like to base lessons for each student upon their strengths and weaknesses. Some students are just
beginning, others want to improve upon their skills. Some students want to learn more about Classical music, others want to learn jazz and improvisation, others rock and roll or country et. al.. Others want to know how music works-the theory
Musical Performance skills and overcoming stage fright are a must. My comfortable in- home studio setting is a great place to start.
Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, at the age of 9, Natalie knew music was something that was just a part of who she was. Writing songs on the piano before lessons could be scheduled, Natalie found herself immersed in a medium that would bring her joy for the rest of her life.
By age 14 Natalie had won several trophies competing in Classical piano with the Illinois Music Association.
As an adult, she would go on to fill her life with the world of music as a singer, songwriter, performer and recording artist.
Graduating from Elmhurst College (1997) with a Bachelor's in Music, Natalie received high accolades earning a membership in the Lambda Sigma Psi Music Honor Society.
During her college years, Natalie created and owned a local music publication called, "The Local Buzz". At this moment she had discovered her
desire to teach. "I just wanted everyone I knew in music to know and use what I was learning, or had learned from the music classes, professionals I had been meeting and working with, and my overall music life experiences". By 1997, Natalie was signed to an independent label and embarked on a new adventure.
"Music is an adventure, but without the foundation and passion I had as a child, I would have never landed where I did. I truly LOVE to teach and share what I know about piano, and the world of music. Music is what I know, and know best. Helping to create a solid foundation and build confidence in someone embarking on a journey in music is the most rewarding profession I have ever had the honor of participating in."
*** Lesson Details *** Natalie enjoys teaching students of any age, but specializes in piano, voice and beginning guitar, tailoring lessons to each individual's goals and reasons for learning whether it be for personal pleasure or professional performance.
Keeping things lighthearted and fun, Natalie breathes confidence into each student using her sense of humor, and down-to-earth personality.
Feeding off 40 years of personal and professional experiences, Natalie patiently listens to the student's desires, needs and notates their learning patterns, allowing for growth at their own pace.
Natalie's goal is to Make Music Matter to you and create a foundation that will allow you to continue to find joy in making music for the rest of your life.

Proper technique transfers to all styles of music. Some of my students sing with their guitar and in bands, some work purely on gospel, some on classical. I tailor lessons to you, to work on your passion and show you how proper technique improves your singer no matter what style you perform.
My name is Jennifer. I got my degree in vocal performance and minored in Jazz. I began voice lessons myself when I was eight. I am a mezzo soprano, and can teach both female and male voices. I have performed in several opera productions including but not limited to The Marriage of Figaro, Dido and Aeneus, Tenderland, and Hand of Bridge. I have worked and performed in masterworks by Brahms, Chopin, Mozart to name a few. I studied in French, English, Spanish, Italian, and German. I studied diction, ear training, piano, music history, pedagogy, and music theory. I have also performed with artists such as New York Voices, Bobby Mcferrin and Kurt Elling. I was blessed with many learning opportunities to grow in my passion and I would love to pass that knowledge and passion to anyone who wants to learn.
*** Lesson Details *** Lessons are de
signed around the needs of each student. The first lessons is always spent testing range, knowledge and abilities already known by the student. Then the student weighs in on what kind of music they would like to learn and what they hope to gain from the lessons. Theory and ear training are incorporated into the lessons. We work on breathing, technique and style. Generally we start with English or Italian. We work on vocal performance from a classical standpoint but Jazz and Broadway can also be taught if desired by the student. Scales and exercises are given each week to be worked on until the next lesson. A recording device is encouraged if the student cannot play the piano. Also, a voice note book to take notes during the lesson to be used during practice during the week.
Omg seriously best vocal teacher ever!!! After my first lesson I had already started seeing improvements!! If you want to strengthen your vocals, Ms. Jenn is definitely the person for you!! Absolutely love going to lessons! I will not be stopping anytime soon!

Applauded for his “gleaming trumpet work” (Hyde Park Herald) and “dazzling virtuosity” (Grunion Gazette), Justin B. is a versatile musician, performing on both historical and modern trumpets. He specializes in early music, most notably in difficult high-register music for Baroque trumpet. Before formally studying Baroque trumpet, Justin won first prize in multiple historical instruments divisions of the National Trumpet Competition. As a highly sought-after solo/principal Baroque trumpeter, Dr. B. has performed with several leading early music ensembles throughout North America including American Bach Soloists, Apollo’s Fire, Washington Bach Consort, Tempesta di Mare, Musica Angelica, Scaramella, Bach Collegium San Diego, Lyra Baroque Orchestra, and many others.
Justin continues to perform as both a soloist and ensemble musician, combi
ning ongoing North American engagements with new collaborations with leading Baroque ensembles in Denmark as well as in the rest of Scandinavia and Europe. In Europe he has played with Camerata Øresund, Copenhagen Soloists, Barokksolistene, Arte dei Suonatori, Höör Barock, Enghave Barok, the Næstved Early Music Festival, Ensemble Hven, and several others.
As a modern trumpeter, Justin has experience performing in orchestras, wind ensembles, jazz ensembles, pit orchestras for opera and musical theater, British brass bands, and numerous chamber ensembles. Before beginning his college career, he was principal trumpeter of the DC Youth Orchestra and had the opportunity to tour Japan as a trumpet soloist. He also performed regularly with the Prince George’s Philharmonic while in high school. More recently, he as appeared as a soloist with the South Dakota Symphony, the Firelands Symphony, and the Las Vegas Sinfonietta.
In addition to be being a trumpeter, Justin is also a countertenor and has sung with Apollo’s Fire and Opera Cleveland. While in Ohio, he was an alto section leader in the chamber and chancel choirs at Trinity Cathedral in downtown Cleveland and was the countertenor with Cantores Cleveland (now Contrapunctus). In addition, Justin briefly served as a bass section leader at Church of the Covenant in Cleveland. Justin also plays recorder.
Justin earned his DMA in trumpet performance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He received his MA in early music performance practices from Case Western and his BM in trumpet performance from the University of Maryland. His primary trumpet teachers include Chris Gekker, Barry Bauguess, Steven Hendrickson, Steven Trinkle, and Justin Emerich. He has studied voice with Delores Zeigler, Ellen Hargis, and Aaron Sheehan. As a graduate assistant, Justin taught courses in ear training and music appreciation, and was a harpsichord tuner.
“The orchestra brought out the pulsy organ-grinder quality in the first movement of Concerto 3, but it was [Brandenburg] Concerto 2 that was the real show-stopper. Justin [B.], on Baroque trumpet, trilled his way nearly effortlessly through one of the most difficult parts in the repertoire, the highest notes piercingly clear above the orchestra.” (Post-Bulletin)
“It [the Baroque trumpet] is more difficult to play than its modern counterpart, but it’s a fascinating and arresting sound. The trumpet part in the second [Brandenburg] concerto is famous for its fiendish difficulties, and Justin [B.] played it with aplomb.” (Edmonton Journal)
“Skilled [Baroque trumpet] players can play the notes of the harmonic series with such instruments. A very refined embouchure is needed to “lip” or flatten or sharpen the impure harmonics of the notes of the 11th and 13th harmonics. The most virtuosic could use such techniques to produce certain chromatic notes outside this series…Justin [B.] made such skills seem effortless…” (Classical Voice of North Carolina)
“…trumpeter Justin [B.] displayed dazzling virtuosity in the solo cantata [“Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen”]…”(Grunion Gazette)
“A good trumpet player is hard to find, and an excellent one harder still. It’s again still rarer to find a great player of the baroque trumpet, since the instrument is considerably harder to play than its modern counterpart (smaller embouchure, no valves) and this may explain why Justin [B.] is so darn busy and why he plays with, well, basically everyone.” (The WholeNote)
He is very knowledgeable and professional! I’m relearning the basics and his sessions have been very helpful to me. I plan to continue!

Justin is one of the most helpful trumpet teachers I have ever had. He adjusts the level of lessons in order to make them both challenging and enjoyable. He makes sure that I have a solid foundation and continue to practice scales and basic techniques. He also demonstrates how I should play certain pieces and what they should sound like, rather than simply telling me, which I find very helpful when learning.
August 12, 2019
There is no doubt that Justin is dedicated in working with his student and a good teacher. Our son Isac is improving every time. He enjoys the training with Justin and enjoys playing the trumpet so much that now he goes on YouTube to find popular songs he can learn to play.
All this is thanks to Justin and his good teaching skills.
I have worked with people of all ages and backgrounds and I encourage versatility among all my students. I am an advocate for helping each individual find their own unique voice, and while building fundamentals, slowly challenging each student to think outside the box and reach goals they didn't think were possible!
I have experience teaching all ages and backgrounds for over 11 years. I encourage versatility in all my students and advocate for each individual finding their own voice. While we work to establish fundamentals, I will help challenge you to reach new vocal goals that you didn't think were possible!
She is very talented and a great instructor. She has an excellent ear and is very patient and helpful. I did not think I could ever carry a tune and all the progress I have made is thanks to her.

My daughter enjoyed her lessons very much! Lee Ann was very focused on my daughters strengths as a singer and they had a lot of fun developing her talent.

Leanne has taken my teenage son from being nearly unable to carry a tune to getting a featured part in a play! He sounded great and got much so praise from his peers! She's a terrific teacher - patient, encouraging, and has a great range of exercises, tools, and tips that really work!!
Hi I'm Dillon Casey and I've been teaching music for almost 15 years and really enjoy it. My mission as a teacher is to create an atmosphere of learning, fun, and creativity for my students. I aim to show my students that music can be exciting and enjoyable and to help them foster their own love and appreciation of music.
I cater to each individual students needs and have created a curriculum framework in order to do this effectively and keep students engaged and having fun. I incorporate elements of music history, theory, technique, and creativity.
I have a unique method that I've developed that incorporates my love of apps and technology, along with my interest in psychology, where I use strategies in goal setting, practice techniques, and continual motivation to keep the student not only learning, but learning much quicker
and more enjoyably than a standard guitar lesson.
I am also an experienced professional musician and recording engineer. I have been playing music professionally for 17 years. I received my Bachelor in Music Performance from San Diego State University in 2012. I've had the opportunity to study under many notable guitar teachers including Peter Sprague and Celin Romero. I've played on stage with many notable performers and have received multiple awards and nominations at the San Diego Music Awards. I run DaisyKiller recording studios in Los Angeles.

I've taken lessons with Dillon for 5 months, and he has helped me make tremendous progress. I was lucky to find Dillon because my music interests are all over the place. I wanted to learn about fingerstyle, soul, jazz, blues, Latin music, music theory, transcribing for bands. Dillon helped me with all of those. He's the kind of person whose has really studied the guitar and can distill the music from many styles into a few simple ideas for the guitar, and explain those ideas in a memorable way.
I'll continue taking lessons from him, and would recommend him as a teacher to anyone looking for a teacher with charisma.

Dillon is an absolutely amazing teacher. I just started playing the piano a few months ago and he has been instrumental in motivating me and giving me the tools I need to get started. He is always willing to switch it up each lesson depending on how I am feeling that week and I really enjoy working with him. Dillon is extremely talented and dedicated to music which is really great, because starting out can be hard. I would highly recommend Dillon to anyone!

Dillon- was not reliable. He no-showed twice and his phone was not active. Not a good start for beginner student!
Playing notes and making music are two very different things! I can help you with your musicianship and performance skills!
Are you or your child interested in learning how to play piano? I am a former child prodigy and an experienced soloist / teacher whose talent was fostered by the highest of Russian Classical Pianist Pedigrees from a very young age. I have a lot to share. Learning the piano, isn't just about learning notes and playing them; it's about creating music, and conveying a story! I know how to teach that! And for all the moms out there- that means NOT having to listen to endless harsh ping-pang bland robotic piano practice. My goal is to create music from day 1. I have been teaching on and off since I was 18 in 1991. I formerly taught at a Yamaha School, and taught in my home on my beautiful Yamaha C7, but now being new to Texas, I will travel to you. My rates are very competitive, and I will give you a strong foundation, instill the art of
musicianship and teach you skills you can apply on your own and at your own pace. Learning an instrument should be fun and stress-free to foster a love of creating music. I enjoy teaching most, when you and/or your child are challenged in a fun and relaxed atmosphere! Please contact me if you have any questions. I am new to the San Antonio area, and am only looking to take on 5 students at the moment so I can who sure to bring my best for you. 🎶
I highly recommend Roni if you are interested in learning to play the piano or improving your existing piano skills.
As a retiree I found it difficult to find a teacher that would take on an older / beginning student and offer in home lessons. Her schedule is flexible and she is very accommodating of my obligations. I am extremely fortunate to have found Roni. She is an incredible pianist (she can provide links to some of her performances) who makes learning fun. I actually look forward to my lessons. She takes the time to learn about your musical interest and goals and then tailors your lessons to provide you with a positive, motivating and enjoyable experience.

Roni B is a treasure! So wonderful! We are so blessed to have found her.
There were several options in the valley, and you can never know if there will be that 'connection' with a new teacher.
Roni is patient and she got me! Knew exactly what I needed to learn.
I have had other teachers, and RONI B IS THE BEST!!!
Im giving her card to ALL my friends, even if they don't play piano!
Thank you Roni. Now don't get too busy so you can't work with you number one student lol!
Using "battle tested" methods from years of performing, I will help you prepare for upcoming gigs, recitals and auditions.
Learn to play music that you love. I offer customized lessons based on your interests and the things you most want to learn. Using proven techniques from years of performing, research and teaching, I help my students make consistent progress while having fun!

I've been working with Trevor for just over a year. His teaching goes beyond just dry technique and theory to answer the question "why am I doing this?" When you work with Trevor, there is purpose behind everything you do. He starts with your big picture goals and breaks them down into actionable steps that you can take feeling like it's going somewhere. This makes for way more efficient and exciting practice sessions. If you don't know exactly where you want to go with your playing, Trevor will help you find that as well.
March 30, 2019
Trevor is an amazing teacher! He works with you to make a plan to learn whatever interests you. I can bring in any kind of music or style of playing and he will help me learn all of the elements. He is happy to go as far into theory as you want or stay more high level. Also has been very helpful in transitioning from learning tunes to writing and recording my own songs. Highly recommend.
"Since I was in high school, I’ve always wanted to develop my skills as a piano player, drummer, or guitarist. I had a ways to go, and Greg was assigned to
help me grow in our youth worship team. Out of the years I spent there, Greg was the best teacher I had! Hands on training, coherent instructions, and constructive feedback from our sessions were what made me into the musician I am today. Greg Campbell is the best!"
"Arrica has been such a wonderful teacher for my 11-year-old daughter. (She was 9 when she started with Arrica.) Our girl has a lot of raw talent but neede
d some good instruction that wasn't too formal. Africa is just the right blend of traditional singing technique and fun rock-n-roll, record your own music on Garage band. We love her!"
"He's a great teacher!"
"I came into Jan's class having a different perspective on what the course was going to be. I had the mentality that we were only going to perform and get
tips. But she went beyond that and made me see songwriting and performing in a different way. I want to thank her for making me step way out of my comfort zone. I was uncomfortable, but then it made me change as a person. I'm so thankful for the opportunity that I was even introduced to someone like her. I love how she inspired and cared about the young teens and young adults that she teaches. She is an impact to many and especially me, I will never forget all the advice she gave me!"
"THE. BEST. PERIOD.
Ms. Chau is a parent's dream! She is soft spoken, incredibly kind, patient, and talented. My daughter is shy and sensitive, but Ms. Ch
au had her laughing and playing with confidence from the from the first lesson! I HIGHLY recommend this instructor for first timers like us as she is truly a gem. She makes learning notes, rhythm, and rests so easy."
"Keanon is a great instructor and performer and is extremely versed in his field. He also has a great personality and is a pleasure to work with."
"I studied under Jordan when he was a TA at SDSU. He was laid back, easy to get along with, and always helpful when I had questions for him. Since then,
I've had the pleasure of performing in SDSU ensembles with Jordan. I mean it when I say it: Jordan is not only one of the best music teachers in San Diego, but he is also one of the best trombone players I've ever had the pleasure of knowing."
"I hired Danny to help me in the studio. I was recording about 3 songs I needed help with. On these original songs, I had been working on with another coac
h unnamed that had me do scales and but after hours of recording, the coach didn't know what else to say except breathe deep. With Danny in about 15-20 min, we were able to knock out my songs easily. Danny isn't your average instructor. He actually goes beyond scales. Some of my issues in were singing close to my break and certain phrases were hard to work with. Others were as basic as the way I was standing. I am impressed."
"What makes a great teacher is not only loving what you do, but also loving the people you're teaching. Jordan D. has a big passion for music, and a big he
art for equipping people for the musical endeavors ahead of them. He is always encouraging and always positive. Even if I feel like I could have done better, he celebrates me where I am, which has taught me to have more confidence while singing, playing guitar or charango, and even glockenspiel. Thanks Jordan for being a great teacher! -Loren Lemon"
