My goal as a flute teacher is to give each student a very well rounded and thorough understanding of the instrument. Lessons will be tailored to each student and will include the following: knowledge of instrument care/maintenance, tone production, technique (scales, etudes, etc), musicality, music theory, and a variety of repertoire from classical to pop.

About George

I am so glad you’re here! The music lessons for young children are full of fun, interactive activities with iPads apps and traditional methods that not only help develop a strong musical foundation and build essential life skills, but offer a unique bonding experience for you and your child.

George explained things very simply.
Alexander J.
George, was very patient, kind, and seem very knowledgeable. He seems to understand the pedagogy of teaching to kids and realize they all learn differently. I personally think he went above and beyond for my Son first class and for our first introduction. He offered a more modern approach method of teaching music and Piano to my son who so far seem more receptive in learning and practicing. Will se where that take us but I am very please so far.
Tracie S.
George is totally passionate about teaching. He encourages the kids to practice and do their best. He has great knowledge and understanding of music theory. He is pleasant, easy going and works really well with kids. Overall really good teacher. Recommend!

I have been teaching for over 20 years and provide an extensive and comprehensive teaching experience. Most teachers concentrate on teaching technique and learning songs. I expand upon that experience and teach students how to interpret both lyrics and the musical score which ultimately delivers a stronger performance. I teach students how to choose repertoire that best suits their voice type and are successful audition choices.
I love the energy that teaching gives me. It is always so rewarding to see a students progress and see the excitement as their vocal abilities grow!

About Brian

At the persistence of a friend, I began teaching her daughter and discovered the amazing rewards I reaped from teaching others, something that I feel passionately about and love! Because singing is such a personal experience it's important to me that we bond. I try and tailor how I teach to best fi

Great first lesson. Learned new methods to improve bowing. Looking forward to the next lesson
Paul D.
I am coming to the cello as a brand new beginner. I have play around with some fretted instruments, ukulele, banjo, etc. But Irina was super at getting me relaxed, focused on basics and encouraging me with small, but important mechanics and technical details. I have taken other music lessons like sax, so could compare. I totally enjoyed the start of my cello training.
Oh, btw, I'm retired and over 65!!!

Nick is a fantastic teacher! I had him teach me guitar a while back for a few years and I've learned so much more from him other than just learning how to play! I've learned how to write music, memoriation and finger techniques to play, tips and help to play on stage, and so much more! He's a great teacher and a fun and awesome guy! "Recently, I joined an 18 piece jazz band as their guitarist before realizing I was in way over my head. The speed and complexity of the chord changes were bit too much for me even though I have been playing at home for some 40 years and now I'm in my 50s. Freaking out and not wanting to be a quitter, I decided to ask for the best jazz guitar instructor in Seattle so that I could learn whatever I could in two months (our first gig.) I was told that Ahmad would be a great match for me. I sent him an email and received a response the same evening with the days and times that he could fit me into his schedule. What a relief, I thought, and began to relax.

Sitting down with Ahmad, I realized how much I didn't know about music theory and the guitar fret board and decided to begin lessons twice per week. It's been just over a month now I cannot believe how much sense music theory and the guitar fret board makes to me right now. Ahmad has really laid it out a good foundation so that I can see how everything fits together like never before. Ahmad not only understands jazz guitar, but he also knows how to teach according to the way a person learns. Recently, the stress of playing with a big jazz band has gone away.

After talking with several other students of Ahmad who were waiting for their lessons to begin, I learned that he was a really great instructor for all sorts of guitar lessons. And everyone seemed very pleased. I've have been to other guitar instructors in the past and I will highly rate Ahmad for jazz guitar, a solid 5 stars."

7 Easy Bluegrass Songs on Guitar

Even beginners can start playing a little bluegrass guitar. Music teacher Matthew K. shares a selection of his favorite easy bluegrass guitar songs... When I first listened to bluegrass music, I knew I had to learn the guitar parts. They are very intricate and fun! The patterns weave in and out of each other, creating a sound that is unique to the genre. It can be a daunting sound for any beginner - and it may seem impossible at first - but remember, everyone has to start at the beginning …
