I've been teaching Statistics for 6 years. I strive to show students the beauty behind mathematics and encourage them to enjoy it. I work with students at their own pace with the main focus being on developing the confidence to be able to understand what questions are asking and how to solve problems. I prefer to spend the first two lessons testing a student's confidence, strengths, and weaknesses before I select the teaching materials. I cannot wait to help you reach your math goals!
Note: Summer time is generally more flexible for me. However, please contact me before signing up for a time because my schedule is less concrete. I am a Ph.D. student in Statistics and earned a Bachelor's in mathematics from St. Norbert College in 2016. I have been tutoring for over 10 years

We will work together to develop your musicianship and make learning music fun, regardless of age or musical background. Lessons will be at your pace, tailored to your interests, and, perhaps most importantly, will foster a love and understanding of music.
Students will learn songs they love to play — from any genre — while also developing important skills such as learning how to practice, note reading, rhythm, playing by ear, and technique, as well as songwriting, composing, improvisation, and music theory.
**In-person lessons at my studio will resume beginning July 15, 2021. Students wishing to take in-person lessons can sign up in advance and, optionally, can begin with online lessons in the meantime.** My primary goal as a teacher is to make music lessons a positive, life-enriching experience for

At 5 years old I was struck by the incredible beauty of Vivaldi's music, and ever since I've been playing violin. Classical piano is a subject I have taught for over twenty (20) years. As a classically-trained pianist, it has been my main area of focus throughout my teaching and performing careers. If you wish to focus on classical piano, we will cover in-depth music theory during our classes, which is a required component for success in classical piano.
Online-only piano classes are only available to students who have prior experience. I do not recommend complete beginners to start fully online, as there are beginners' nuances that are much better addressed in-person!

Odds are that if your child is taking guitar lessons, your child chose to play the instrument. Unlike stringed instruments, piano, and classical instruments, kids usually choose to start playing guitar. Kids guitar lessons are a great start, especially when they are geared to your child’s age, but the only way your child will really progress with the guitar is through regular practice. Practicing is a unique challenge when it is an instrument that a child chooses to play. People tend to …

Pursuing a career in music is a risky decision, because by the nature of the industry few artists can “make it big.” Most artists aren’t pop stars, or even full-time career musicians, and all musicians also teach to remedy this. There are many paths to becoming a professional cello player, and depending on where you start it might be easy or hard to earn a reputation and start making money. I followed an academic path, studying classical music at university and then continuing my research …

Mr. Crowley. Smooth. Sweet Child o Mine. Let it Be. All these songs have something in common. A captivating guitar solo. What makes a great solo? More importantly, how do you write a guitar solo? In this article, we’re going to dive in and discover what makes great solos and some tips on writing a guitar solo. My influences include lots of 80s rockers (Randy Rhoads, EVH, Slash) and Latin players like Sergio Vallin, Carlos Santana, and Al DiMeola. I tend to use very little effects because I …
