A little about me...
I’ve worked with students ages 3-75 years old for over 15 years. A 2011 CSULB graduate, I earned my Bachelors in Music Education with piano proficiency and choral/vocal emphasis. I studied opera and jazz vocal technique there as well. I have taught 8+ years of music classes at public schools and am currently teaching as a Music Facilitator through Orange Unified School District.
As an active musician, I gig and record regularly with top 40 cover bands as well as my original soul/funk band and really enjoy sharing my enthusiasm and love for music with my students!

I teach classical singing to beginners, intermediate, advanced, and touring professionals.
During your first lesson I do a computer analysis of your voice, I find out what your goals are in singing, what your favorite kinds of music are, and I take you in the direction you want to go and show you how to get there in the shortest possible time.

I always record my students so that they know how they sound to others. I also make a CD of them singing to background music if they wish, included in the cost of the lessons for no extra charge.

Learn how to do the Singer's Formant, "Squillo" (that "ringing" sound of professionals).

I specialize in voice and acting training that encourages and teaches you to utilize your whole body to fuel not only your vocal choices, but your physical as well. I have taught kids, teens, and adults alike over the past 5 years and I will help you find your voice though connecting your breath to your motivation and your voice to your intention. Whether you need a tutor to give you lessons on building a solid foundation of technique, a coach to prepare you for an audition or performance, or a teacher to continue your vocal journey with, I am here for you and I cannot wait to help you grow and succeed. Classical vocal technique is demanding but SOOOO rewarding! The power and clarity that you can develop will astound you! I trained in the Italian (Bel Canto (literally, beautiful singing)) style of voice, and it will give you a great basis in breathing, support, knowledge of your voice and its strengths (and the weaknesses we strive to overcome). We will work on developing beautiful, clear, pure vowel sounds throughout your vocal range, and will work on repertoire from art songs to opera.
*Classical voice students must be 15 to begin serious voice training, and will start at an hour lesson/week. Advanced students will need to hire an accompanist.
*Students under 15 are encouraged to take basic singing lessons, which I also offer, before enrolling in the classical specialty.

As a voice teacher, my intention is to guide my students in understanding all aspects of their musicianship – as a singer, student, and artist. My teaching rests upon a foundation of pedagogy that employs not only traditional techniques of bel canto singing, but also a scientific understanding of the voice as part of the human anatomy. In order to teach these concepts effectively, lessons are structured based on the personality and needs of each individual student. With extensive background in the study of interpersonal communication, my priority lies in creating a learning space where the student is able to explore and create music in the most comfortable and effective manner.
Throughout the series of lessons, I hope to establish and monitor the student’s technique, in order to ensure healthy and efficient production of the voice.
