James and I worked together for 4 months at an elementary school tutoring 3-5 graders in math and english. James is professional, intelligent, and creative. It was a pleasure working with him. He cares very much for the youth in our community.
We've stayed in touch via email and are developing a friendship I hope lasts a life time. He is good people.

Having taught Chinese Language Skills in the private sector, primary, secondary and college institutions for a number of years in China, has not only given me great confidence to teach in a classroom setting, but has inherently brought an instructor comfort that feels natural to me.
In addition, finding an opportunity where I can assist the kids, middle school and high school students and adults who love to learn Chinese college staff while maintaining my teaching proficiency in traditional or simplified Chinese characters is both welcome and rewarding to me.

I'm certain that my rich knowledge and years of experience in classroom practical application of Chinese Curriculum / Culture coupled with my love to teach make me a professional, responsible and patient teacher.

In addition, I can teach you Chinese in your location which
is no more than 10 miles away from Vista where I live. I can also teach you how to play badminton and cook delicious authentic Chinese food.

Ms. Qi is a very accessible and diligent teacher. My son can be difficult, but she found ways to quickly connect with him and get him to open up. She accommodated his need for assistance with his regular work, but encouraged us to "start again" with Chinese which is probably a good idea. Very much appreciate her experience and enthusiasm.

About Marie
I have worked in Animation for over 20 years, from traditional 2D animation to computer, initially in Canada, in Montreal, more precisely. In '97, I was hired by the Walt Disney Animation Studio to train their animators on the computer. I taught computer animation software, mainly Maya, and Photoshop to hundreds of talented artists here in Burbank. I was also creating and writing teaching materials, so I am well versed in Word, and Illustrator.

My other passion is Fashion Design. I am a Fashion Design graduate from FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising). I studied Fashion so I could make my own patterns. I have been sewing for over 30 years and just love creating clothing or costumes for my children and I, with commercial patterns or my own patterns. I am pretty crafty, really good at modifying patterns, and I have a grea
t knowledge of fabrics. I love fashion illustration and the whole process of creating a line.

I really enjoy teaching, and after years of teaching animation software, I craved teaching something more hands-on, and I have been enjoying teaching sewing and fashion design. It is rewarding to pass on a skill that used to be taught from generation to generation, but that less and less people are learning nowadays.

Whether it is for a hobby, to decorate your house, to prepare for design school, or to make your own clothes, I can teach you from the very basic sewing skills, to more advance topics such as modifying your patterns to make clothes that fit.

Hello, and thank you for visiting my page! I have been an artist for my whole life and I am passionate about sharing my love of creativity with others. I earned an MFA in Costume Design from UCLA in 2007 and have been a freelance costume designer, college professor, photographer, illustrator, and jewelry designer.

As much as I love to create, what I really love is to help somebody learn to do something they love and create something they can be proud of! I am happy teaching all ages, and I specialize in helping each student find his or her unique vision.

I can teach sewing by hand and on a machine, including how to read and understand the instructions in commercial patterns. Bring your project and I'll help you make it happen! I am highly skilled at teaching life drawing, as well as marker rendering and watercolor fashion illustr
ation. Photography is my other passion, and I look forward to helping you understand how to use a camera's many features, and your eye, to create art.

I spend hundreds of hours a month playing the greatest game in the world and could not be happier. I am grateful to have had the exciting opportunity to travel around the country these past few months playing the game I love. I posses a burning desire to become the best player in the world and will not stop until I succeed. I love to share thoughts and strategies with fellow players that I respect and am always evolving my game. I am playing great “winning” poker right now, but always see room to advance my knowledge and experience of the game. My hand reading ability is very accurate and gets better and better each day. They say you learn something new each day and with this very complex game I can say I firmly believe that. I was born to play this game with the greats. Poker is a true gift for me and I would love to have the opportunit
y to share my gift with you.
