In addition to my extensive performing career, I am very passionate about helping the next generation of musicians find their own unique voices to share with the world.

With over 5 years of experience and a quickly growing studio, I have helped preteen children through older adults find their special singing voice through technical and musical study in many genres. My process is heavily based in classical healthy singing which I then apply to musical theater, pop, jazz, country, anything you want to learn!

I believe learning music and especially learning to sing are incredibly important for all kinds of people as it builds confidence, teaches mind and body awareness, and develops social skills. Let's see what learning to sing can do for you!

I teach from a very technical standpoint. Form and function, physicality, and basic science can teach you a lot about singing properly. My goal is to get the student to a point where they can teach themselves when they build their voice and the lesson becomes a weekly or monthly check in of the progress. As singers we want good results, but we have to focus on the process and the result will follow on its own correctly without forcing the result we want. This process of optimal sound and beautiful tone can take some time, but when the steps are taken correctly, the results become ideal.

David W. has made numerous appearances across the country as an up-and-coming lyric tenor. Recent roles include Count Almaviva with "requisite Rossini high notes" (The Wall Street Journal) in Francesca Zambello's new production of Il Barbiere di Siviglia at The Glimmerglass Festival and Ernesto in

Having performed in musicals and operas across the east coast, and having majored in both musical theater and voice performance prepares me to teach those students wishing to study beginning to intermediate Broadway singing.
My former and current students have won roles in several local and regional shows, including Guys and Dolls, Sweeney Todd, Thoroughly Modern Millie and the Wizard of Oz here in northeast Florida.
Please note that I do not accompany, but my students are welcome to bring their own accompanist or accompaniment tracks.

About Heather M.

More important than my conservatory education and my experience as an educator and a performer is my passion for teaching music and acting and my undying belief that anyone can learn to be a musician and an actor. I'm currently available to teach lessons in my own St. Augustine home studio and
