As a native speaker of American English, I can help you to learn the subtleties of the language. Whether you just want a partner with whom to practice your conversational skills, or a more advanced structure that includes, spelling and grammar, diction, jokes, idioms, and customs and traditions; English lessons will help you improve your understanding and use of this complicated language.

Voice lessons are tough. This isn't like a golf swing where someone can show you physically what to do or reach out and position your elbows where they need to be.
This all has to be articulated by a teacher, and is has to be articulated to someone (YOU) who doesn't even know what parts you're trying to move around.
It takes a great teacher. Eulis is a GREAT teacher. He gave me physical descriptions, character descriptions, accent descriptions, … everything I needed to position everything where it needed to be, even when I didn't always know where it was.
A lot of progress and a lot of fun. Thank you, Eulis.

Students will develop a strong vocabulary while using a technique that build healthy vocal habits. Many aspects of every day actions will be applied through songs that help exemplify the Spanish language.
Diction, interpretation, reading and writing exercises, support and focus, all of this while having fun!
Also, they will acquire tools needed to keep an everyday communication.

Whether you’re preparing for an audition or a role, or simply expanding your skills, I will work with you to develop a system you can apply to learning any accent or dialect. We will listen to recordings of native speakers, address your current vocal posture and how it relates to your own dialect, and we will work with the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) until you can confidently apply it to learning most dialects and accents.
I can also work with you on accent reduction, if necessary, using the same tools.

I like to use a variety of material when teaching ESL. I first like to target student's interests and then build from there. Many of my lessons are built around videos and discussion questions, but can also be related to articles and other reading material. I find that videos with questions/vocabulary related to the material has been an effective and enjoyable way for my students to stay motivated while learning. Another one of my favorite tactics is bringing up vocabulary from previous lessons. Every moment is crucial, so let's get started!

Last week, French tutor Carol Beth L. treated us to a great lesson on conjugating regular verbs. This week, we look at conjugating common irregular French verbs... French grammar is full of irregularities and exceptions. They make sense when you understand the phonetic and grammatical in's and out's of the language, but can still be difficult to navigate – especially at the beginning. Covering every single irregular French verb out there, therefore, is a difficult task to tackle in just one …
