Hello future guitar students -- welcome!!
Basic to intermediate guitar technique that includes finger-plucking, picking, strumming, reading notes, basic accompaniment, and solo performance.
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and raised in Miami, FL. I started my musical career at the age of 8, singing in chorus, playing the recorder, and shortly afterwards moving to the guitar, and the violin.
When I was 15, I was nominated for a James L. Knight Award in Music, and I performed as a violin soloist with the Miami Beach Symphony Orchestra, and the Greater Miami Youth Symphony playing Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major. One of my most memorable experiences when I was a kid! In high school, I formed my own string quartet and we would perform all over the South Florida community especially at hospitals and for the elderly. At 16 years old, I was also given an internship with the New World Symphony, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas, for about 2
I later on accepted a scholarship for violin performance at the University of Miami for my Bachelor of Music, and earned my Master of Music from Florida State University. I also taught string orchestras for 10 years at Ruth K. Broad Bay Harbor K-8 Center, South Florida Youth Symphony as conductor (and now composer!), and conductor of the Greater Miami Youth Symphony. I was appointed Assistant Conductor of the Alhambra Orchestra for two seasons under the guidance of my high school orchestra teacher, Mr. Reginald Nicholson (1947-2011). It was here where I was able to work on my compositions, orchestrations, and conduct a fine group of musicians.
I now live in sunny Los Angeles, in the Sherman Oaks area, and I'm loving the new change. I am eager to share my knowledge with new students on various subjects such as learning a string instrument to learning a different language. Please feel free to ask me any questions.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and your goals for learning!
I have been teaching music as an adult, certified teacher since I was in college, but have done teaching as early as 15 years old.
I will help you create a fantastic technical base so you will be able to play with ease as your skill level develops, all while keeping the lessons fun and engaging.
Piano, Violin, Guitar, Music Stand, General Teaching Aids, Recording Equipment.
I can provide a music stand and basic materials but the student is expected to have their own instruments and to buy the music I recommend. I can recommend various vendors/shops where you can buy the ideal instrument for your lessons.
I am classically-trained musician that also specializes in Tango performance, Latin/Jazz, Rock, and a variety of other styles. I believe that training in the classical aesthetic will create a firm, solid foundation to crossover into other areas listed above. With a good dose of technical exercises, scales, and a variety of repertoire, my students always turn out well-rounded, ready to tackle almost any kind of music they wish to learn.
Thank you for stopping by and let me know what you would like to learn!

With over 4 years of teaching experience, 6 years of gigging and playing the guitar for 14 years, I have cultivated a unique approach to teaching the guitar. I take the time to listen to my students, hear their struggles and dreams and create a lesson plan that is truly individual. I've worked with beginners who've never touched a guitar to professionals looking to broaden their horizons, all ages too! I am a very professional, motivated and flexible teacher looking to help you learn the guitar!

Each acoustic guitar is a little bit different.
Each Electric Guitar is different.
But once you get the basics of guitar in general, that bridge gets shorter and shorter.
Lets get you to where you want to be!
I gave my first music lesson to my music managers children about 10 years ago.
Since then I have been on a roller coaster of enjoyment teaching kids and Adults alike.
My teaching concentration is with guitar, voice and song writing.
I have done masterclasses in songwriting and NYU and have been asked to co-write with a wide variety of artists. I have had songs that I have written and played on both radio and Television. Including Late Night with Conan O'Brien (Live performance) and most recently "Blind Spot" on NBC.
I am a firm believer that everybody can be musical and that there is no right or wrong way to do it. All we nee to do is hone what is already there!
So Let's get together, learn something new, get excited, and have some fun!

Every musical success begins with a small note - HR
I have created my own program to teach students from beginner to Advanced levels, I wrote it myself. I wish I would've had a program like that when I began my musical journey with the guitar, I have arranged the subjects in a special order that makes easy the learning process for my students. I like to demystify all theoretical and practical concepts applied to the guitar so the student can easily understand chords, scales, techniques, harmony, improvisation and other subjects that usually take years to master. My goal is to translate all this knowledge at the student's own pace, yielding quick results in 3-6 months.
I can teach you Electric and Acoustic Guitar, Music Theory and Pro Tools Software.
I had over 200 students in my own academy Guitar Institute of Guatemala and lots of Private and Skype Students.
You can expect fun lessons but full of helpful information that will help you to improve as a player or help you to start learning songs and playing guitar if you are a beginner.

My passions are technique and accuracy; by perfecting technique comes a deeper understanding of theory. I have lots of teaching methods that will encourage you to play your favorite songs and styles with the sounds you like.
I'll focus on the very basics of guitar theory in order to get to a higher level of understanding music theory.
I will challenge you! We will have lots of fun and you will see, hear, and feel your own improvements with my teachings.
I began as a classical guitar player, studying traditional classical pieces and applying them to my guitar. During that time I began to explore and became drawn to rock music, virtuoso guitarists, and heavy metal. My fascination with the electric guitar, the techniques, the speed and all the things that comes with it are still pulling me in.
Later on in life I fell in love with Flamenco, specifically Paco De Lucia.
I learned his songs and combined it with my own music while studying fusion and finger picking styles; every style I liked, I learned, I mastered, but I know, as much as I teach, I also learn.
Today I play in LA and Israel, I produce projects, record guitar tracks and songs, and teac
As a teacher I will challenge you! I will give you multiple exercises and lots of homework. Over the years, my students have won guitar contests, gotten into successful bands, and are touring around the world. If you are willing to work hard, you will get better! You will see, hear, and feel the difference in your playing. I'll show you the way and will be with you step by step.
Looking forward to meet you!

Hey there! My teaching career spans 10 years, from kids as young as 5 to adults in their 50s. I'm best with beginner/intermediate students looking to build their confidence on their 'instruments' - whether guitar, voice, or songwriting. It's most important that I get a feel for what *you* want to achieve from your lessons, thus I'm a flexible teacher - performing out, casual playing, professional writing, writing in your backyard, singing at parties, or singing behind the steering wheel. It's my job to provide you with the tools to sharpen your own, and bring other skills level with the areas in which you already dominate. As is the case for many (including myself as a kid), picking up an instrument often comes as the result of wanting to emulate another artist (my influences include Jason Mraz, John Mayer, and The Matrix songwriting team); this often translates to interest in the ability to play/write as early as possible. With this in mind, I've successfully promised my students ...
Let's begin! My academic curriculum is flexible to the musician that you want to become and your specific goals. There are 1 million and four (give or take) reasons to learn guitar and whatever yours are I'm here to help. Be it a creative outlet, after school extra curricular, lifelong dream to perform on stage, professional aspirations, curiosity of theory and technique, or if you simply just want to play some favorites around the campfire - I want to help you get there. Since I started playing 18 years ago in private lessons and in school my guitar has helped me think outside the box, given me confidence, and been a faithful companion wherever life has taken me and it is my mission to pass it on!
My name is Mitchell and I love making music. A lot. I've been performing for 18+ years in bands, ensembles, accompanying, scoring films, you name it. Having gotten started with private lessons in my childhood/adolescent years and formal collegiate studies as an adult, playing guitar has provided me deeper analytical skills, creative thinking, self-confidence, an expressive outlet, and a ton of good memories. Now it is my mission to pass it on!
My lessons are based on an academic curriculum in which I track your growth by helping you set goals and deadlines. That said, you lead way! Whatever your reasons for wanting to learn guitar I want to make sure it is a positive, fulfilling experience for you. I've worked
I charge a slightly higher rate because I'm exclusive. It's important that give each student my absolute fullest and not spread myself too thin. I currently have availability, though it will fill up fast during back-to-school season.
If you or someone you know are enthused about music and eager to learn, please don't hesitate to give me a holler and ask about enrollment!
Hi! Ryan here. 15 years ago I started playing guitar, and have loved it ever since! You'll find that most guitar teachers are ex- or current professionals. While I'm not one, I happen to be a very good at teaching beginners.
When I teach, I aim to establish good habits and teach my students the tools they can use to learn on their own. Playing guitar is 10% lesson and 90% practice. So what I'll do is teach you how to practice most efficiently. I've wasted a lot of time practicing the wrong way back when I started, so I know what you should avoid :) I can teach you from the very beginning to the point where you can sing and play at the same time while doing fun finger-picking or something awesome.
Give it a try and you won't regret it!
I've taught a few friends to play guitar over the years, I know that may not sound like much, but I sure can teach a beginner to get started and be on their way to intermediate level!
I was an engineer for about 6 years and now going back to school to become a nurse. In the meantime, I can use some income so here I am!

If a parent of a teenager needs the way to invest money and time wisely to shape their child's future
My teenager son has been spending more time playing the guitar than on his cell phone/iPad and has developed a healthier lifestyle working on his skills.
We have found Daniel amongst hundreds of other teachers online but deciding on him was primarily caused by his patience, professionalism, the sense of humor and just the amount of fun my son is having.
You will get every cent invested in his lessons thousand times back in satisfaction of having your child enjoying their new hobby.
Absolutely recommended, thank you, Daniel!!!"

If you're a guitarist and you don't own a capo yet, but are curious about them, my hope is that you'll want to get one after reading this article. And … Read More
