Allison's dedication to teaching is obvious from the moment you start with her. As someone with a lot of trouble sticking with the more tedious parts of practice, her consistency and energy did volumes for my attitude and ability to stay on track. That she's still a student herself seems to inform her teaching all the time - Allison understands that some things just click more than others, and she doesn't get frustrated when you need extra help or encouragement. I would recommend her to anyone!

I have written methods that I have found to work very well in teaching the student all aspects of music and how to apply it towards the instrument. My methods include the essentials in reading, finger exercises, theory, and ear training. I like to prepare my students for any and all genres. The key is to teach the student how to teach themselves.

About Aaron
As a 15-year-old teen I was headed nowhere. I had no interests and was failing my freshman year of high school. Then I started playing the guitar and fell in love with music. As I studied under my dad, who was a professional musician, my mind started to open up, my attention span grew. My problem solving skills and comprehension improved to such a degree that my grades went up to the honor level. Since I ended up graduating with a 4.0, I preach and stress the importance of learning a musical instrument.
I got into teaching only 4 years after I first picked up the guitar and immediately found that it was what I wanted to do for a living. Oh sure! Playing in bands is fun but I enjoy seeing my students grow in and with music most of all. Having over 20 years’ experience as a professional musician and teacher. I have been teaching exclusive
ly in the High Desert area for the last 16 years. I started at a music store in Apple Valley called Hi Note Music then taught at Tom's for 14 years. Now I teach at Rollover Beethoven's Music store in Hesperia and out of my studio in Apple Valley.

*** Lesson Details ***
I can teach almost any style of music including Rock, Jazz, Blues, Classical, Country and R&B. I stress the fundamentals: technique, reading, theory, ear training but in addition, I will give you all the licks and tricks you want. The important thing is to develop good habits because bad habits take a long time to overcome. I will provide you with the tools to play anything your heart desires and the ability to teach yourself.

*** Studio Equipment ***
separate studio w/ seating for parents

*** Travel Equipment ***
Have portable sound system and lap top computer. All the student needs are their instrument.

*** Specialties ***

My goal in teaching is to make my students better musicians in every aspect. I like to discuss the music with students, get them to think about the music in new and interesting ways, teach how to practice and philosophies for approaching musical styles. I like to teach theory and play piano with the students so that they understand what is going on in the music. Students can expect all of this and more while having fun and being able to express themselves through the music they want to play.

About Eddie
My name is Eduardo, but I like to go by Eddie. Music, since the first time I picked up the saxophone, has been the passion of my life. I almost always have an instrument in my hands or have music coming out of my speakers. I earned my degree in performance from the University of Miami in 2012 and have 1 year of experience teaching. Since I first started as a musician, besides becoming proficient on soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones, I have also taught myself to play the piano, guitar, flute, and clarinet. Music is my passion and I want to bring this same passion to any student I teach.

I figure out exactly where you are in your technique and knowledge of music and of the instrument. Then, I start teaching from there! For me, the goal of lessons should be the goal of the student, and I do my best to honor that!

I also encourage my advanced Jr. High and High School students to audition for various honor groups throughout California such as SCSBOA, CBDA, etc. With my background in these groups, I can effectively help my students prepare for the best audition they can do.

About Eric
Hi! I'm Eric, a Saxophonist, Composer, Singer, and Teacher that was born and raised in Southern California. I've been playing the saxophone for over ten years now, writing music for as long as I can remember, and singing since I was in elementary school. I play for a variety of groups in Los Angeles, and sometimes perform in L.A. and surrounding areas at venues such as the LightHouse, Saint Rocke, Avalon, and the Baked Potato.

I keep my lessons fun, efficient, and applicable. I give students assignments to work on, not only so they don't forget what we talk about, but also so they can also expand upon the concepts given in lessons, (which familiarizes them more with the information). I look forward to helping you unlock your potential!

I have been teaching saxophone professionally for 7 years to beginners just starting out, students preparing for college auditions, and adults trying to get back into playing. I am a very passionate musician and person, and find happiness in helping people get better at the saxophone and playing music! If you are looking to make your first sounds on the instrument, or looking to develop the skills to be a masterful performer and improviser, please reach out to me as I would find great joy in helping you accomplish your goals.

About Jordan

Here is a little bit more about me taken from jordanleicht.com:

"Jordan is a Los Angeles-based saxophonist, composer, and bandleader from Thousand Oaks, CA. He has a number of private students and plays regularly with his group and others in the L.A. area.

Jordan is a very kind, articulate and knowledgable teacher, and has been giving my son saxophone lessons for 3 years. My son wants to audition for the jazz program at a few schools, and absolutely looks forward to his weekly lessons with Jordan. They have a lot of fun together in their lessons, and my son is feeling more confident about his audition with each week that passes. I definitely recommend Jordan as a teacher to any level of student looking to learn the saxophone!
