I think music is a wonderful, personal experience. You are looking to take piano lessons, which is the sounding board for all musical instruments! Good start! You love music, and want to see where this leads you. I also believe that developing personal relationships with my students is so important. I will be asking you,"What do you like about music? What's your goal in taking lessons? Do you want to create music? Do you like to perform? How can I make this interesting and fun for you?" Together we can accomplish much!
Hi! I am an experienced keyboardist, organist, and choir director (26 years). I have taught students from ages 7 through high school. I am a firm believer in having fun but focused piano lessons. At one time I had 65 piano students and it was extremely rewarding to see them grow in their skills

I have played a wide variety of repertoire in classical piano from Bach, to Beethoven to Frederic Kuhlau in recitals in the past six years. I also write music in classical piano and can help students mainly with technique and expressiveness when playing.
With my two Bachelor's degrees in Music Composition and Technology, I began tutoring students in piano, voice, and composition as it was part of my training. I also have experience writing and editing essays, books, and more for several independent clients. I have experience writing my own books as

Get ready for the most unique voice lessons you've ever experienced. Based on MDH Breathing Coordination, Nicole will do an assessment of your breathing mechanism and relate proper breathing to vocal production. Once the body is ready for singing, proper techniques will be explored through vocal exercises, which will then be applied to song selections. Laryngeal massage also available.
Lessons with Nicole are like none other! Students will learn methods of MDH Breathing Coordination* as the foundation of proper singing. This will bring clarity to common concepts like "support" and "placement." MDHBC is also very beneficial for musicians, actors, public speakers, dancers, and athl

My curriculum is flexible for all ages, but is designed specifically and intentionally to cover a broad array of skills that will help you find and hone your voice as a musician. I do hold my students to a high standard, and I expect they practice regularly. In return, I will work my hardest to make assignments fun, rewarding, and useful. I am extremely open to feedback; for example, song choice. If I say we're playing Bob Dylan and you're not a huge fan of that style, that A-OK. Just recommend an alternative for my approval and we will go-with-the-flow. Like Bruce Lee said, I'll be "Like Water."
There are no pre-requisites for this course; if you do not know how to read lead sheets, I will teach you. We will learn tab and musical notation, but we will primarily work from charts.
A few of many things you can look forward to:
1. Cowboy chords and power chords
2. Guitar maintenance; changing strings, tuning, cleaning, and more.
3. Right-hand technique and strumming
Hey there, I'm Al. Born and raised Houstonian. I love my wife, my dog, and my guitar. In my spare time I enjoy playing videos games (my favorite being Super Smash Bros.), learning new skills (I'm currently taking an online computer science course through Rice), and creating and producing origina

I teach a wide variety of students ranging from beginners to advanced, with my youngest student being 5 years old and my oldest in his late 50's. I believe whether you are a beginner, thinking about music as a hobby or someone who wishes to pursue music as a career, I am positive I can cultivate and grow your musical capabilities based on your specific needs.
Providing my students with knowledge from a musician who is actively furthering their career is important to me, I want my students to know that I am aggressively pushing the boundaries of drumming alongside artists such as Grayson Erhard, Emma Mayes & the Hip, and my own jazz influenced hip-hop trio Smirk.
My name is Ryan and I offer private drum lessons. Music, specifically drumming, is my passion. I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to make a living performing & teaching drums. Watching a student work on a new song for months and finally get to the point where they are ready to perfo

No matter how much you love playing the piano, it can also drive you crazy! Can you relate to these common piano problems? 1. When you're practicing and you need to turn the page. Someone please invent a way to turn the page without having to stop playing! Luckily, if you own an iPad, a music app like forScore can help organize your music and turn the pages while you play. 2. When your fingers won't listen to you. Sometimes you know in your head exactly what you need to do t …
