Piccolo is usually an instrument that people dread playing, but piccolo is actually beautiful and so fun to play! I have been playing for about 15 years and I always enjoy when I have opportunities to perform on piccolo. In lessons, we can work together to build your confidence in your piccolo chops, and in turn expand your musical palate and capabilities. Through etudes, orchestral excerpts, movie music, or popular song, I can help you to find your voice on this instrument!

Jennifer Kennedy is an inspiring teacher and performer. One can be in awe with her beautiful playing and amazed of her patience in the way she teaches you to reach your goal. I DEFINITELY recommend Ms. Kennedy for private, online, Skype or at home teaching. you will not be disappointed.
Joanne
I have listened to Jennifer as she gave flute lessons to several young beginning students. I observed that she truly cares about her students and invests herself in their progress. She has a creative teaching style, always coming up with new ways to approach the challenges of each individual student. She spends time to discover the students’ goals and structures their lesson plans accordingly. Jennifer is also a good communicator with the parents of younger students, making sure they are informed and inviting them to observe lessons if they wish. I’m sure you’ll find her a delight to work with.

I have been teaching this subject for over 16 years. There is no specific curriculum as each student will come to lessons with their own unique skills, needs, and goals. Lessons are tailored to those specifics. It is not necessary to know how to read music at the first lesson for beginners. However, learning to read is required for subsequent lessons and will be a large focus for all non-readers. Music is not learned "by ear." A certain amount of theory will be a part of every lesson just as technique and repertoire. Concerning repertoire, it will be selected from the western classical rep based on the student's learning needs and with their input. The main emphasis on performance lessons, however, will be technique and reading. Students should come to the first lesson prepared to discuss their background & goals and the plan of their course of study.

Hello and Welcome! Learning violin is very fun and rewarding, I would be happy to help you on this journey! For beginning students, we start by learning the fundamentals of violin including: violin set up, left hand and right hand techniques, best posture, and becoming comfortable with playing the strings. We then advance to a violin book of choice, to learn music reading, playing techniques, and enjoyable songs.
For intermediate to advanced students, I will adjust the lessons according to the student's needs. We will discuss what you've already learned, what you would like to learn, and choose music of your liking. We will focus on best left hand practices, bowing techniques, intonation, vibrato, and music reading.
I look forward to meeting you soon and helping you achieve your goals!

She has a keen ability to push her students to excel, while also encouraging them and nurturing their passion for music. It has been several years since I've studied with Pam -- I've since graduated from college and moved to the West Coast -- but the lessons I learned from Pam have stayed with me, and will stay with me for many years to come."

"I started taking guitar lessons for the first time 10 months ago and am thankful I found such a great teacher in Ahmad. His positive attitude and love of music helps me stay engaged and lessons are productive and fun.

One of the great things about Ahmad is he listens to you and adjusts lesson content based on the feedback you provide. His ability to listen allows Ahmad to deliver a personalized lesson plan that incorporates your goals and gets you excited about what you are working on.

Ahmad also has taught me techniques to prevent and address minor aches that come up while learning to play. He takes this seriously and shows you how to prevent and resolve any issues that come up.

Overall, taking lessons from Ahmad has been a very positive experience. I look forward to continuing working with him to get better."
