I received a TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) in 1986 through UC Berkeley Extension and taught at Galileo High School in San Francisco. I also tutored intermediate students from 1986-1988 and taught in Mexico for several months in 2005. In 2011, I came to the International Refugee Committee and for 3 years taught ESL to level 1 students, many from African, Middle Eastern, and other countries who spoke no English at all when they enrolled. I teach students of any age.
