This was a first for us completing online cheer training to keep my daughter engaged throughout COVID lockdown. Cheryl was kind and supportive of my daughter as she tried new cheers and movements.
Her daughter was also a great co-teacher!
Looking forward to week 2.

Cheryl was great!! She was very knowledgeable and patient. My daughter was able to learn what we would consider a lot on the very first lesson. Despite the technical difficulties we were having with our personal equipment Cheryl was able to work through those issues with us and continue a lesson. She was friendly kind and reassuring to my daughter who doesn’t always have the most confidence in herself. She is helping her learn something that she really wants to do And helping her with her self-confidence as well! Couldn’t ask for anything more! Thank you so much take lessons and Cheryl

I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Anthropology. This is a class where you travel around the globe, learn about different cultures without leaving your house. Anthropology is fascinating. You can learn about traditions from different cultures and this will give you perspective of why humans act the way they act. Learning from other cultures will help you understand your own society better and you will take distance from today's issues and analyse them in a more efficient way.

About Karina

Hello there! My name is Karina C. I have given lessons to children since 2012. I was born and raised in Mexico, so I speak fluent Spanish. I also speak French , as I studied my bachelor's degree in the South of France. I can teach those interested in learning or practicing their conversational

Creative Writing is a passionate subject for me. I studied Creative Writing at Dartmouth College, where I obtained my Master's, and published my thesis of a collection of fiction short stories.

Creative Writing doesn't have rules, although there are guidelines. I am an advocate of showing and not telling, creating characters, setting scenes, and using smooth, fluent language to engage readers as we experiment with words and style and complex emotions.

About Niusha

As a teacher, I try to cater each class to my student's individual needs and interests. Being bilingual myself, I am a strong believer that language and culture (and food!) are intertwined, and to learn any language, it is best to immerse oneself as deeply as possible. I started teaching ESL in

In college, I was an English professor's assistant for all four years. I also tutored ESOL students in writing a variety of genres. I hold a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. I taught every grade from pre-k through eighth grade. I have published narrative stories and poetry. I provide and proofread informational content for websites and help adults with creative expression. Classes are personalized according to the students' goals. Whether it's a research paper for a class or a creative writing story for personal expression, I can help you hone your writing skills.

About Lenawee

As a child, I was always fascinated by the use of words to create mental images. I loved reading and imagining the characters and places in the books. When I was a young teenager, my aunt gave me a huge book of poetry. I fell in love with the rhythms and rhymes of poems. Written words are more than

"Phonics" are the basic foundation of all alphabet-based writing. For learning to read English, students learn best when taught a combination of phonics and sight-words. (English is full of words that are NOT spelled phonetically; however, the rules of phonics do have a definite place in learning to read English.)
With beginning readers, I incorporate songs and rhyme to help children hear and understand phonics. I also use rhythm/percussion to help children distinguish syllables.

Creative Writing: Not That Different from Academic Writing?

Think creative writing is all that different from writing a research paper in class? You might be surprised! Read on as New Milford, NJ tutor Matthew H. explains...   Creative writing tips seem to be counterintuitive; how can someone tell someone else how to be creative? The truth is that the secret to writing any good creative literature is not really that different from what you need for a really great academic paper: strong structure. What Types of Creative Writing Prompts Work Best for Kids?

Kids who love to write may be off and running once the pen hits their hand, but other children might not feel comfortable writing unless given a few creative writing prompts. Creative prompts encourage imagination and provide a jumping off point for journal entries and stories. Even children who love to write may find it easier to work from a prompt because it gives them an area of focus - and it's fun! As a parent, one of the best ways to encourage your child's love of the written word is to pr …
