Tunes, improvisation techniques

About Marc

I've been playing music since I was 14 years old. I studied classical guitar at State University in Buffalo, NY. and also studied guitar at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. I love just about every style of music. I mostly play Celtic, Bluegrass, American traditional, jazz, and classical. I a

I appreciate Marc’s knowledge, professionalism, and teaching methods. I also appreciate his practice of social distancing and mask wearing. He was thorough, good-humored, and patient during my lesson.
Roger H.
He is very good with me. I'm not a very good student. I have bad habits and I'm overly sensitive to criticism, yet he has not made me feel bad at all about my playing if you want to call it that. I also have a short attention span and can't read music fluently. But his patience is much appreciated, and each week get a little better at it all. I recommend him to those trying their best to sound a little better.
Avery B.
It was really good information and I had a lot of fun.

I've been teaching guitar for over 30 years, and several of my students have gone on to perform professionally in various musical styles over the years, and a few even own music stores! Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play your favorite songs, and as time goes on you'll be able to build up a set of songs to perform, if you so desire! I specialize in rock and metal guitar, typically use several different books and lesson pains of my own creation, and have the following tools available for your lessons: an amplifier. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

About Steve

Steve has been teaching professionally since 1986, a career that has seen him span from private teaching 40-60 students in all styles and levels weekly in the Bay Area for for nearly 20 years (1989-2006), before relocating to London, England, to beginning a music college teaching career that has sp

Growing as a musician and producer has been a remarkably fulfilling path and my passion for sharing that adventure is what drives my excitement for teaching. I hope to bring positive energy and insight to all my students’ lessons and help them grow. I am interested in working with students of all ages, and enjoy helping with everything — learning how to sing or improve vocal technique, learning how to play piano, cover favorite artists, perform, record, navigate ProTools of Logic or digital/analog synths. I you have a specific goal or project in mind, long or short term I'd love to help!

And also, I really, really, really like her singing voice and I like it when she sings along when I play. I feel happy with her as my teacher because after each lesson, I feel more focused. Thank you, Marie!!"

I teach violin / fiddle not through one method or genre but a unique blend of various styles, each one taking a fundamental seat in a broader performance curriculum. For example, beautiful classical pieces form our most baseline technique while country western or bluegrass make for a strong and agile bow, not to mention having some tricks to merry up the campfire or front porch gatherings. Pop / Blues / Jazz and Rock n Roll are perfect genres for prospective improvisors and future stage performers. From Lindsey Stirling to Charlie Daniel's Band to Stephane Grapelli I enjoy teaching towards the goals and dreams of every student.

About Kelly

Kelly began studying violin at age four through the Suzuki Method. At age 18, she moved to New York City and made a living primarily as a street performer, playing  jazz standards in the Subway and Central Park.    She began studying jazz violin at The New School for Contemporary Music, and perform

Kelly is a very talented and skilled violin player. She makes the lessons very relaxed and is great at teaching online, I've found the lessons so useful as I'm a complete beginner at the fiddle. She's extremely knowledgeable and knows all there is know about the violin/fiddle, I can not reccomend her enough.

I first picked up the trumpet in the 4th grade. I’ve spent a lifetime learning the instrument, making a living playing it, teaching others to play it. Now I’d like to help you.

Hi I'm Rick and in your lesson you will learn:

The fundamentals of good trumpet playing. You will learn not just what to practice, but how to practice. I will help you with breathing and how to use your air effectively. You will learn how to develop a great sound - your sound. I will help you improve your range, flexibility, and endurance. You will develop new skills, build on your existing ones, learn new songs, and have more fun playing trumpet.

When we first meet, I will want to hear you play - just to see where your playing is at - and we’ll talk - do you have specific goals?, what do you want to learn? This will give us a good starting point.

I welcome students of all ages and abilities, from absolute beginner to aspiring professional. Schedule your lesson now. I offer a wide variety of booking ...

I met Rick over 25 years ago when I moved to Honolulu while touring with Paul Anka. Rick and I became fast friends and played many jobs together ranging from classical to big band to Broadway to backing up the Temptations and Johnny Mathis. His wide range of experience across all styles of trumpet playing would be a huge asset to any student. His easygoing demeanor is a plus for being a great teacher.

After touring with Tom Jones for ten years, I moved to Hawaii, where I met Rick. Many times for many years, we would practice together. During those sessions, we would critique and discuss each others' playing. Rick was always very good at assessing what I was doing, and was consistently able to put into words what I needed to hear. We were in essence, giving each other lessons, and I gained a lot from Rick's expertise.

10 Proven Steps For Writing Lyrics That Stick

The late Amy Winehouse tribute album Lioness: Hidden Treasures has been making waves on the UK music charts, securing the #1 spot just days after its release.  Although the posthumous album has had its share of drama and questionable reviews, the collection - with its mix of covers and raw, unfinished tunes polished up by the producers - seems fitting in depicting Amy as the troubled, tattered star that she was. As she sings at the start of "Best Friends, Right?": "I can't wait to get away f …
