I have had 5 years of training at Empire Performance Studio in Riverside CA. I spent 4 years in concert choir and chamber singers at Cal State San Bernardino.

In our lessons, we will focus on proper vocal technique in any style. You will learn how to properly use your voice to achieve a beautiful tone, to sing on pitch, and to establish good rhythm.

We will also have plenty of performance opportunities, so we will work on stage presence, movement, and microphone technique.

About Katie

I have been teaching young students piano since 2012. I have completed my education for a music education degree, and am the former president of the Cal State Piano Society. I have been playing piano for many years and love every aspect of music. My goal is to pass my passion for music onto my s

I would assess the student's capability and begin with the level appropriate for the student. For new students with no experience, I would start out with simple hand positioning and playing the piano firsthand. We'll learn as we go with fine details of reading notation and techniques. I will introduce one or two subject to cover for each lesson. For students that have more experience and are at the beginner level, I will introduce technical practices and assign a piece of music. As for intermediate and advance, we will cover technical practice, assigned music, and music theory.

My lessons are both fun and educational, with flexibility to honor each student's needs and goals. During my time as a drummer, I have had the pleasure of studying music with Dr. Richard Ripani, Eddie Bell, and renowned big band drummer Duffy Jackson in Nashville, TN. I graduated in May 2017 with a degree in Studio Music/Jazz Performance at UT Knoxville, studying with Professor Keith Brown. I want to pass on all the knowledge I gained from them to you! See you soon!

I love singing and I love teaching! I encourage my students to be open and honest with me about what they want in lessons so we can always be on the same page. I make my lessons unique by giving my students the chance to learn technique and learn all the fun things that they have always wanted to sing! My students learn the proper techniques and mechanics of singing (breath support, posture, anatomy of the voice, etc.) singing multiple genres of music (classical, musical theater, jazz, etc.), performing in front of others, how to walk into an audition, and more. My students are given pieces to hone in and focus on one or more technical skill, and two which they choose whether it be something they have always wanted to learn, something they consider for fun, or something they want to use to build their repertoire.

"My first lesson with Brandon was a really instructional and inspiring interaction. Brandon listened to my goals and inspired me to become disciplined in practicing every day. His future classes and goals for me where explained after the first class. Both he and I have an understanding of where I want to be in the future and I know he will do everything he can to help me achieve my goals. Thanks Brandon!"

"Jesse is the perfect instructor for my family. We have been with Jesse for 9 months and my 11 year old son still looks forward to his lessons and practicing. We started at beginner trumpet, then added voice lessons and will soon start the family guitar lessons. Jesse's lessons are never boring. He always does something new and always asks what the student wants to play. Jesse is more than an instructor because he has taught my son to love music. He has exceeded my expectations."

"Going into vocal training completely blind is often ego-shattering and bewildering, but Eric really takes the pain out of it. He really wants *you* to understand how to make your voice the best it can be, and he's incredibly patient and dedicated to the cause. Even just the six months of lessons I took with him had my producer and bandmates remarking on the improvement in my singing voice."
