I love sharing the techniques I've honed working with Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare and other Tony award winning theaters. We will work on techniques to "own the space", be heard, quickly drop into a character, raise the stakes, and make choices to create an exhilarating performance.

About Hunter

From the hit TV comedy Crazy Ex-Girlfriend to drama at The Tony Award winning Steppenwolf Theater, my 20 year acting career has taught me many lessons to share. As a working writer/director this has only grown. I love teaching. There are few things as rewarding as being a part of a students deve

Acting for the stage requires many talents to be shared at the same time. You must always be aware of your "sight lines" of "blocking" another actor; of "finding your light". These lessons will teach you these important concepts as well as acting techniques to create and build a character; what to do if you forgot a line; what to do if another actor forgets a line; improvising with technical problems, costume malfunctions or other emergent situations. More than technique, these lessons will prepare you to be at home on the stage and thrill your audience.

We got SUPER fortunate to come across Milton as a piano teacher for our son who is diagnosed with Moderate/Severe Autism. If you are considering a special needs piano teacher, you too, lucked out finding Mr. Milton.
He is incredibly patient and calm, but firm. He has a cool vibe about him that creates a “jam session” atmosphere instead of the traditional stiff ol’ lady kind of approach. He has been great with incorporating our home and school behavior program to ensure our son is successful. He is also adaptable in how he teaches to ensure he is reaching our son that is most effective to his learning style. But most importantly he was honest with us as we began this road into special needs piano lessons. We were not sure if our son was even teachable. He was open to trying a few lessons to see if there were some foundational strengths he could work with . Mr. Milton was very articulate about what strengths he saw in our son despite his impairments that allowed us to decide to continue with investing in lessons. He wasn’t just trying get another client and take our money. We love Mr. Milton, and even on our son’s worst days , he always love to see him too.

I'll show you how to develop a character or read a scene with another scene partner and I'll make the training fun! I'll help you choose good monologues and show you how to "cold read" a dialogue at an audition. Based on my education at Columbia I have lots of techniques to offer! If you want to you can bring a scene partner, otherwise I'll read the scenes with you.

About Chrissy

Originally born in Germany, Chrissy developed a passion for music, language and teaching early on. Right out of High School she helped her mother, who was an educator at that time, write and stage-manage a children's Musical which found great response from the audience. During her Music studies in

"I have had the awesome experience of working with Cynthia Valentine for over 15 years as a Spoken Word Artist, Poet and Recording Artist and she is both Professional and Organized. Recently I did my very first appearance as a theater actor in a stage play and her coaching, directing and production was top notice and working with her allowed me to be free to express my self as an actor.
