Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is the umbrella of all yoga branches. It is known to be the highest and thorough of yoga traditions. It utilizes meditation, mantra, physical exercises, and breathing techniques. It is best recognized as a Raj Yoga.

It is taught by encompassing the eight limbs of yoga as created by Patanjali, into a extraordinary practice of bliss. “Kundalini” is accurately defined as “the curl of the lock of hair of the beloved.” The metaphor of Kundalini refers to the movement of energy and consciousness that exists within each of us, and enables us to merge with – or “yoke” – the physical self with the universal. Combining individual and universal consciousness creates a divine union, called “yoga.”

Dating back to the fifth century B.C., the Upanishads, had defined Kundalini. However, it had been maintained as an oral tradition, which reaches further back into history then we have known. This sacred science, and the tools provided, was hidden, ...

I had three 90 minute sessions-Diana was wonderful-she is kind, compassionate and very knowledgeable. She has a soothing demeanor-her studio is very conducive to meditating. She asks relevant questions and was extremely therapeutic in her approach. She is very intuitive and I feel much better about the things transpiring in my life. I highly recommend Diana-from beginner to expert, my experience was great.

Diana has a calm vibe throughout the lesson. She is very intuitive to what my mind and body is communicating. She has a gift of healing and her soft voice puts you at ease. She describes postures eloquently, and is able to gauge your abilities and go at the appropriate pace with each lesson. Diana provides yoga hand-outs and will give encouraging information for your health and diet. Diana was great at helping me understand things about yoga that I wasn't familiar with, I thought her presentation when I first walked into her class was remarkable. I am very thankful that I have the chance to take her classes. I highly recommend her to new and current students of Kundalini yoga and meditation.

For six years, I have enjoyed meeting my students wherever they are with their yoga practice, from complete beginner to someone looking for an invigorating practice to those seeking restorative yoga. I have taught all ages, in studios and college campuses. Some of my clients look to yoga for a way to balance their other intense, physical activities.

We can talk about what you hope to learn and design our lesson accordingly.

I look forward to meeting you!

About Amanda
Hello!

Yoga and meditation have been in my life for ten years. After training and being certified with a Yoga Alliance school, I started teaching six years ago. I love teaching beginners and using therapeutic modifications to safely engage with injuries.

Yoga is a practice that can offer many gifts. The movements and other practices, like mindful breathing and guided meditation, bring stress-relieving benefits, no matter what practice level or time commitment.

If you would like testimonials, please be in touch. I look forward to helping you on your journey with Yoga.

Amanda

I have been taking Liam's Tai Chi/ Qi Gong class for nearly two years now. He is a dynamic teacher that is sensitive to different types of learning paces and styles (both eastern and western) and employs both in his classes. His explanations are simple and he always relates the movement back to its origin as a martial arts defense/offensive move which helps one establish the intention behind the movement. I have learned yang short form and chen style short form from him. I would highly recommend that you take his class if you are interested in beginning or continuing a tai chi practice. Through my practice I have found a healthy way to manage stress and anxiety.

Through 15 years of personal yoga practice and four years of teaching experience, my students can experience an integration of yoga styles including power, Yin, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Hatha yoga. Sessions will be tailored to serve the student's individual goals, needs, and conditions.

About Morissa
In 2006 I began my personal journey with yoga. At first it was a way to lose a little weight and get free of some of the stresses of my daily work life. But, I quickly fell in love and soon devoted myself to daily practice. In 2011 I completed my first 200 hour yoga teacher certification course in hot yoga. In 2014 I decided to grow my knowledge and completed a second 200 hour certification in Vinyasa yoga. My teaching style can be personalized to best serve the student. My purpose as a yoga teacher is to provide students with a way to move forward in their own personal journeys. Yoga is an art and a science that can touch mind, body and soul. But each person's yoga path is his/her own, and we can work together to find you the balance, strength, flexibility, relaxation, courage, peace, understanding, or whatever it is you seek!

Yoga is a true gift, and teaching it is an honor. I have been teaching both privately and in group settings for 2 years. My specialties are hatha and gentle vinyasa. Yoga is about treating the whole person - mind, body, and spirit! I will tailor your lessons to your needs and goals. With yoga, most students experience greater flexibility and strength, both physically and on a mental/emotional level. Let's explore!

About Stacey
I am a lifelong student of many subjects. My approach to teaching is one of patience and enthusiasm. I do my best to understand the student's learning style and teach accordingly.
I have been a professional actor, model, and singer for 10 years. I specialize in on-camera acting for TV commercials, industrial video, and host. Most of the modeling I've done is commercial print and live promotional modeling. I've taught group acting classes to kids ages 6-17, including on-camera auditioning, stage directions, script analysis, and business skills (headshot/resume, finding an agent, industry terms, etc.).
My singing experience includes pop, musical theatre, and jazz. I've coached students who believed they were hopeless, and they were pleased to discover their gifts and see growth!
I am a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200) and have taught
for 3 years, both group classes and privately.
I minored in French in college and tutored beginning French.
My motto: Never stop learning!

Trying to sing in front of someone is very intimidating for me but Stacey made me feel comfortable from the start. In the past I took lessons from another teacher and my experience with Stacey far exceeded my previous experience and exceeded my expectations...with her help I may actually be able carry a tune!

I have done a lot of yoga since 2009 and am very into the technical aspects: alignment and terminology.

About Natalie
After graduating high school at the top of my class, I got full funding for an economics degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where I was born. I was very busy in college--my extracurriculars included 2 semesters abroad (Spain, Singapore), writing an honors thesis, being a consultant to the academic advising office, and being president of an honor society; besides this I worked my butt off in classes and graduated with a 3.7.

Besides academics, I am super interested in fitness, general wellness and psychology.

I would love to talk it out with you wherever our learning interests intersect!

Imagine your favorite yoga video, class or picture. What does it feel like when you are in the middle of a practice or learning something new and you hit a snag? You have a question, but there is no one around to ask. What do you do?

Perhaps, instead, you have a chronic illness or long term injury. Maybe your joints ache, you suffer from low energy or are struggling with anxiety or depression. You’ve heard over and over again how helpful yoga could be for your condition. Your doctor may have even mentioned that it is something you should try, but they couldn’t point you in the right direction.

Still you may be new to yoga. Just the idea of learning the postures, sitting still to breathe or exploring meditation--especially in a group of strangers (gasp!) bring you untold amounts of anxiety.

No matter your physical condition, maybe you feel cut off from that special part of yourself; the part that feels alive and connected to the Source of all that is good and beautiful. It is the ...

I use elements of classical Hatha, Ashtanga, and Iyengar Yoga with a focus of the energy within to deliver a well rounded yoga practice. I approach yoga with love, openness, humor, and authenticity, and spread these same teachings to my students. My private classes will be catered to the specific students needs (I.e., more fitness based, more mindfulness based, more injury focused, flexibility focus, etc). I am experienced in teaching all levels of yoga students- from beginner to advanced practitioner. I am currently teaching 10 group classes in the Denver area at various locations, including studios, gyms and college Rec centers. I am a 200 hour certified Hatha Yoga teacher (since 2016) but have been a student of yoga since 2007.

About Jenna
Jenna has been practicing yoga sporadically since her early 20’s; however, when she was 28 years old she hit a metaphorical wall. Working a job that wasn’t meant for her, struggling with positive body image, weight loss and self-love, she began to crave something deeper for her life. It was then she dove deep into the practice of yoga, meditation, and, most importantly, self-love. She quit her job, left her friends and family, and took off to India on a path of self-discovery. Yoga has since become a way of life, implementing the tools of her practice on and off the mat.

I am so grateful to have finally found such an intuitive and well rounded teacher!!!! I had my first private with Jenna last week and it was a transformative experience to say the least. You can tell she has done her research both on and off the mat. She does a wonderful job of seamlessly integrating traditional aspects of yoga with a creative twist that sparked my curiosity. I felt safe and nurtured as I was taken beyond my limits in one of the best classes I’ve ever taken. I was nervous about being in the spot light but largely benefited from the one on one experinece. I’ve already booked my next session and recommend you do too!

During class, we will focus on breath. Breath-centered yoga can have a number of benefits for your body, such as relaxation, warming up the core, and getting your body ready to support you in various poses.
Yoga can always be customized to meet the needs of each individual (That's my favorite thing about it!). So, depending on what you hope to get out of our time together, I can teach a more gentle flow or something a bit more intense. Either way, my goals are for you to spend time getting to know yourself and your body better, have fun, release some stress, and feel better at the end of the lesson.

About Erin
I'm a yoga instructor living in Brooklyn, NY. I've been trained and certified for yoga teaching at the 200-hour level.
I enjoy yoga because no matter how I'm feeling on a given day, I can always do yoga. By focusing on breath and doing what feels good, I find that I can go farther and obtain greater physical (and mental) benefit than just pushing myself to my physical limits. That is what I want to share with others.
No matter what you feel you can or cannot do, there is yoga for you. Whether you are young or old, a body builder or wheel-chair bound, I want to help you find a routine that is right for your body so you can feel better in every way.
