Ricardo P. Broomfield, CO

About Ricardo

I have been a professional musician and teacher all my adult life. Music is my passion and has always been how I make a living. I teach piano/keyboards, guitar, voice, bass and ukulele. I studied classical piano at SUNY at Buffalo and I initially learned to play guitar and singing on my own. Years later I studied voice and guitar with great professional instructors. I am familiar with different ways of learning music: from very structured and traditional methods (that we use in classical music) to more improvisational and "by ear" approaches as we often do in popular music. This helps me tailor my music teaching specifically to each student based on his/her musical preferences, abilities and learning style. I can teach all styles of music including: Pop, Rock, Blues, Country, Bluegrass, ...

Kelly Z. Denver, CO

About Kelly

There is a musician and a singer inside every individual and I am here to bring it out! I believe singing can be a vehicle for learning discipline, focus, collaboration, music theory, self-expression, language, interpretation, short-term and long-term goal setting and achievement, musicality, literacy, history, confidence and passion, and I hope to instill these gifts in all of my students. I completed my BA in Music Education from Fort Lewis College, and then moved to Denver to complete my Masters of Music in vocal performance at the University of Denver. During that time I have been blessed with many performance opportunities in choirs, operas, musical theatre, and jazz settings. Favorite roles include Roxie Hart in CHICAGO the musical, Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro, and most ...

Great teacher

Kelly was phenomenal with my 8 yr old daughter. She let her choose the type of music they sang, was always very complimentary, and was extremely flexible with our scheduling needs. She has a great teaching technique and my daughter learned a lot!

Awesome!

Kelly Zick is both fun and professional and knows what she's doing!
She helped me with my audition to a music school in London, both singing wise and with my confident. I only have great things to say about Kelly and I hope you make the right decision and let her help you with your voice goals!

I was very impressed with how well Andrea described and demonstrated what she wanted me to do. I have taken lessons with several other people and I made more progress in one lesson with her than I did for weeks with other teachers. I can't wait 'til my next lesson!

I am so grateful to Andrea....

I have always loved to sing, and sang in several choirs when I was younger. But I had "lost" my voice, and wanted to see if I could recover it. Andrea was wonderful in working with me: I was barely able to release any sound when we started our lessons. Within weeks, Andrea helped me discover how to form the vowels and release the sound. [I have moved out of state, so Andrea only had a limited time to work with me.]

She is passionate about music, and yet very patient with her students. She did not patronize me with false praise when I wasn't getting it, but she still encouraged me. And when I did get it, she was quick to affirm my progress. I strongly recommend Andrea as a voice teacher.

Outstanding instructor of guitar. He goes above and beyond when it comes to teaching students how to play the guitar. He is very flexible, understanding, knowledgeable, and patient when he delivers his classes. Not only does he teach students how to play the guitar, he also does other things like teaching them how to tune their guitars, how to change keys when necessary to make a song sound better, and how to use a capo when playing the guitar. All of these are above and beyond what most teachers have taught me in the past. I really enjoy taking classes from my instructor.

Scott B. Denver, CO

About Scott

Hi! I'm Scott, and I'm a native of this great State of Colorado! I fell in love with the drums in 6th grade, and have never looked back! I too, began by taking private lessons, having been fortunate to be able to study under one of the best performers and private teachers in the Rocky Mountain West at the time. Beginning private instruction in Elementary School, I continued for 7 years even while embarking on a performance career in high school. Since then I've both performed and recorded a wide variety of styles including most forms of rock, country, jazz, pop, Gospel, symphonic/orchestral styles, and concert and marching band styles. I've also been fortunate to be able to teach many other students over these last 29 years of my career, and watch them achieve their own goals in drumming.

Scott is an incredibly patient teacher. Our 6 year old has been working with him for quite a few months. Its really difficult to keep the attention of a 6 year old, but Scott has different techniques to keep him interested. He has taught our son to read music in a very short time. He has taught the importance of practice as well as warming up. He has no problem coming to our house to teach, which gives our son the comfort of home. Scott is very patient and extremely flexible and we are enjoying working with him.

Its amazing seeing our little boy reading the music and playing the drums.

We highly recommend Scott in every way!

Scott is one of the best teachers I've come in contact with.

He is great with people! He really goes into the need for knowing basics if you're going to do well at any of the playing styles. It makes it so much easier to play just about anything, instead of having to start from scratch to learn every individual style of music there is, which is really important when you're doing recording like I am. He's also great in encouraging individual creativity in playing, and not just staying "inside the box." That really makes a person stand out from everyone else, which is what needs to happen if you're going to be noticed and be successful.
Caitlyn P. Denver, CO

About Caitlyn

I'm a vibrant and motivated teacher who loves working with students of all ages and most importantly, sharing my passion for music with those around me. I have had the amazing opportunity to perform at both Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall in New York and at the Sydney Opera House in Australia. In addition to touring globally, I have performed with orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic and the Boulder Philharmonic. I have been teaching for seven years in New York, Nebraska, and California.

Caitlyn is a wonderful Flute teacher and her music education/experience/awards are very impressive. My 10 yr. old daughter had switched instruments many times before she started Flute lessons with Caitlyn and has finally found her interest! Thanks to the teacher to make it interesting for my daughter and help her discover her instrument. Caitlyn is a very friendly, enthusiastic and great teacher to work with. I would definitely recommend Caitlyn for anybody!
