I have also taught music for 22 years in the public schools, first in Milwaukee, WI and then in Sarasota, FL. I direct a children's choir. I have degrees in Vocal Perf and Theater Ed from the U W- Madison, as well as a Masters in Music for Vocal Perf, and a Minor in Piano from The Manhattan School of Music. I am a classically trained Lyric Coloratura Soprano and I sing frequently in the Sarasota and Anna Maria Island area, I have taught and sung Musicals, Oratorios, Contemporary Christian styles of song and Gospel. I have also worked in Theatrical Productions as well as taught children's theater for stage productions.
Trained in London and graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude from Catholic University's famed Speech and Drama Dept., she is a member of Actor's Equity Association (1983) and SAG/AFTRA (1976).

Most of my training was done by a Stanislavsky purist, and my own acting philosophy generally conforms to that. I've also had experience with Meisnerian technique, but don't generally conform to that as much. For me, acting is all about understanding and relating to your character and their worldview, almost as though they were a person you were learning to impersonate. Provided the playwright has done his job, they will be detailed enough for this to happen.
