Jody B.

Carrollton, GA

About Jody

I'm a retired teacher who has played guitar for over 45 years. I'm a fingerstyle guitarist and perform at weddings and special events. I've taught most styles to all ages. I'm probably not the one to teach your teenager to play heavy metal, however. I do teach ingerpicking, country, classical, pop, and even Hawaiian slack key. I specialize in beginning children and adults.

I also teach mountain dulcimer and ukulele.

With children, I use a method book to teach music fundamentals and balance that by encouraging the child to learn to play songs that interest him/her. With adults, I wa
nt to teach what you're interested in learning. I believe we learn best when we are excited by the material and challenged to reach the next level.

I have taught special needs music students - Down's Syndrome, mild autism, adults with arthritis or suffered a stroke. My training as a teacher - I have a doctorate in education - makes me uniquely qualified to work with a wide range of student abilities.

Atria E.

Kennesaw, GA

About Atria

I have a B.S. in Music Engineering, but I am well knowledgeable in other subjects especially math. I have taking all math including basic courses, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Calculus I & II, and excelled in all of them. I also have talent in Painting and drawing, where any age group is accepted. I can definitely teach music theory along with beginner's piano.

I firmly support my personal slogan, "Teaching to learn loving to teach", because ultimately that's the meaning of teaching. Teaching is essentially for the student to learn the material, but at the same time the student is teaching me
patience and joy. I base my teaching method on my strong enthusiastic, optimistic, patient, and loving character. I make sure the student feels comfortable and take any amount of time until they thoroughly understand the subject of choice. Contact me on any inquiries about my tutoring services. Thank you for your time & I hope to work with you soon.

Peace and Blessings,

Atria is very friendly and encouraging. I am not the most confident performer and had no experience with rapping, but after taking only 2 lessons with Atria my confidence has skyrocketed. I didn't know I had it in me, but Atria helped me realize my potential as a musician.
