I would describe myself as a motivated dancer, and my message for teaching is simply this: teaching a passion for dance. I have been dancing from a very young age, and I have fallen in love with the dancing and the performing arts. Now, my newest passion is instilling the same love for dance into those who are new to this experience.
I have been teaching dance for over 6 years. I excel in choreography and technique. If you are looking to brush up your skills or you're just starting out, I am the girl for you. I have taught all levels 2-adult in ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, contemporary, pop jazz (like in music videos), burlesque, turns and technique, etc. I always start with a warm up and teach main moves to build off of so you can build that confidence that is so important in any dance performance :)
I have been dancing for over ten years as a dancer, instructor, choreographer, educator, and enthusiast. I have loved dance and fitness for many years. I incorporate them both in my daily life. I graduated from University of Texas Pan American with a Bachelors of Arts in dance performance in 2011 and have been teaching in public schools since then. I have trained with numerous teachers and choreographers and am always learning new techniques in an effort to better myself. I am trained in almost all dance styles. If you've seen it, I've probably done it.
I have been a teacher of the arts since the age of 18 and have been performing for many years prior to then. Dancing is my forte however I am confident with teaching any performing or visual art. Growing up I loved being a part of my school dance team, studying at the award winning Planet Funk Academy in Houston, TX, and travelling to various conventions across the country. I most recently taught beginner tap/ballet, beginner and intermediate jazz, and various levels of jazz and drill team prep at The Element Dance Center: New Braunfels.
